  1. I'm kinda excited, but I'm stuck on a netbook until December, so it's pointless excitement. :(
  2. The limits on free players suck almost as much as Lord of the Rings Online. I'll give it a skip.
  3. It's nothing like a the first two games. It plays almost more like a top-down God of War with equipment added in. A very sub-par action-rpg, if you ask me. It was so crap, I didn't even bother playing past the halfway mark.
  4. Lucky for me, I don't buy games from companies who openly admit that they hate my guts for being a PC gamer.
  5. Yes, after playing both extensively, I agree, they can be compared. The comparison leads to the conclusion that both are unrealistic twitch-shooters, with BF3 just being a bit slower paced than CoD.
  6. Yeah, it would be awesome if Steam could add the first games, but I doubt that would happen as they probably need emulators to get running.
  7. I might start up again this semester. Only planning on taking my netbook with me to university, and I heard Eve runs pretty well on netbooks. Want to kind of take a break from playing newer games and focus on all the old games I've missed over the years, which is why I'm leaving the desktop at my parents this year. Eve is more like a second job, though, so I don't really consider it a game. I go there to work. :P
  8. What the- http://i46.tinypic.com/2ywi9ds.jpg Almost bought it too, then I noticed the gaping difference and decided to rather buy the two games individually. So, my damage so far; -Dungeon Defenders: Penny Arcade Character Pack -Binding of Isaac Wrath of the Lamb -Dungeon Defenders Lost Eternia Shards Complete DLC -Penumbra Collectors Pack -Dungeon Defenders Barbarian Hero DLC -Dungeon Defenders - Series EV Hero DLC -Dungeon Defenders - Summoner Hero DLC -Dungeon Defenders - City in the Cliffs Mission Pack -Payday: The Heist -Half-Life 1: Source -Alpha Prime -Counter-Strike: Source -Tropico Reloaded -Rome: Total War Complete Pack -Galactic Civilizations II -Morrowind Game of the Year -Fable The Lost Chapters -Disciples II: Gallean's Return -Disciples II: Rise of the Elves The last few games I bought were more games that I want to play on my netbook while I'm on campus this semester, though. Still, a lot more than I was planning.
  9. Morrowind for $5? Yes please. Been wanting to ditch the retail version for a while now, but I didn't want to pay over $10 for a second copy. Either way, yai! Now I've got all the TES games and their DLCs/expansions from Morrowind through Skyrim on Steam. :D
  10. Oh yeah, OMD! is quite an awesome game. As is Terraria. Sunk around 100 hours into it so far. :3
  11. Which GotY?
  12. Yeah, it's definitely not that your PC can't handle it. It's more likely an issue with the game itself.
  13. I'm buying game as they go on dailies and flash sales. Publisher packs aren't worth it for me, because I don't want to play half the games in them. :P So far I've bought: -Almost all the Dungeon Defenders DLC, except the cosmetic stuff -Bind of Isaac Wrath of the Lamb -Payday: The Heist -Penumbra Collector's Pack -Half-Life Source So it's actually been a pretty calm sale on my end so far. I wanted the Assassin's Creed Revelations sale, but went to bed before it went up and then woke up too late to get it. :(
  14. I just didn't find Skyrim to be half as good as everyone made it out to be. It was a generic RPG that had the potential to be great, but ended up being average. Not a bad game by any means, but nothing special. Felt like a highly modded Oblivion to me, not the next step in the Elder Scrolls series. Also, you might not want to put too much stock in what CliffyB says. The guy's a moron. It's the same guy who said Mirror's Edge was a bad game because it didn't have enough shooty bits. :P Edit: I disagree with you on the difficulty of Amalur, though. The game was pretty damn difficult on the standard difficulty settings. Skyrim, on the other hand, that game basically played itself. Unmodded, you'd have to be trying to stand a chance at dying in the game. With a warrior/archer hybrid I pretty much steam-rolled my way through the game on my first playthrough with almost zero effort. I died once or twice, but only due to laziness on my part. Amalur was flawed, to be sure, but on the innovation front it came out why above Skyrim. It was something fresh and new, unlike Skyrim, which was something we've seen countless times before. I mean, Skyrim still runs on an engine that dates back to the era of Morrowind.
  15. Oh lol. You sings Skyrim's praises but think that Amalur was sub-par? What a strange world we live in.
  16. Why did you necropost just to basically say 'I agree?'
  17. Well, they had better. DayZ is making sure that Bohemia is raking in bucketloads of cash on a game that would otherwise have faded into obscurity. :P
  18. Dude, it's a mod that's still in alpha. Of course it's going to be buggy. Show me an alpha that doesn't have such glaring issues.
  19. Yeah, there's no doubt there's going to be a sale. Details about it were leaked a while back already. Also, many of my games have received random small updates which are usually indicative of Summer Sale achievements being patched in.
  20. I kinda can't wait, but I'm also hoping the sale isn't too big as I don't want to spend too much money this year.
  21. Saints Row 3 was awesome. Even though they released a lot of DLC afterwards, it doesn't feel like an incomplete game. There's more than enough content to keep you occupied, and the DLC they released afterwards is mostly crap anyway. Easily my best game of 2011.
  22. Well, since zombies basically aren't a threat once you get to know them, the majority of your deaths are going to be at the hands of other players. However, all the people complaining about being griefed by other players are people who go into the most popular towns to get loot. You can check, 90% of the time if a player complains about being shot on sight, he's going to tell you he was either in Cherno, Elektro, the NW Airfield or Balota Airfield. If you play smart, you'll survive long. My average lifespan nowadays is about a week just by staying inland and away from the popular areas. Usually by that time I'm so geared out that I actually go looking for trouble by going someplace such as the NW airfield.
  23. They're written for two entirely different pieces of hardware. I'm honestly surprised that the guy even asked the question in the first place.
  24. I highly doubt it would get enough traffic to warrant an entire site dedicated to it. For a game this old, few people would still mod it, and most who would would have completed their mods ages ago. The community would mostly be making map packs, and with there already being other sites dedicated to the game, people won't really come here for it.
  25. As much as people like to make those claims, BF3 is not in the least realistic. Being a slower-paced twitch shooter does not make a game realistic. You want realism? Play something more like ArmA. Then again, there are people who say even ArmA isn't as realistic as some others.
