I bought Chaos Rising and DoW2 in December, just so I can play the campaigns (already owned Retribution at the time), but I haven't really had the time to touch them yet. Should probably make some time sometime.

I don't mind paying for extra content at all if it's worth it. Considering the good investment that ME3 already was, I don't mind in the least.
So let's break it down. My country uses South African Rands as currency. I paid R350 (roughly the equivalent of US$50) for my ME3 CE pre-order. My total time played in SP according to my latest save is 36 hours. Seeing as MP doesn't track time played, I'm going to make a rough guess and say I've probably spent about 20 hours on it so far, seeing as I played it just about non-stop over the weekend. That places me at about 56 hours spent on the game, but let's bring it down to 50 hours to account for idle time in SP, and other factors which might have wasted time.
That means I essentially paid R7 an hour for ME3. And that's only on one playthrough and there's still going to be a lot of time pushed into MP.
To put it in perspective, in my country, the average movie ticket is anything between R35 - R50. A standard McDonalds meal is anything from R30 - R40. A can of Coke is about R7.
The way I see it, I've gotten more than my money's worth with this game, even if the ending sucked. I'll gladly pay up to $10 if Bioware would be willing to fix their crap ending for me.

I'd pay for a new ending. Anything to wash away this disappointment. I haven't been left this disappointed with the conclusion to a great story in my entire life.

This Youtube comment sums it up nicely
I love how we all want it to be a dream, normally considered the worst ass-pull available in fiction. That's how shitty that ending is. -
Yes, but even so, there are still millions of soldiers on the planet fighting the war. This plan would require an element of surprise in order to work, and that would require keeping the Reapers distracted for a few hours while you pull out your millions of soldiers and ships. I'm pretty sure the Reapers are bound to notice and take action if a full scale retreat were to suddenly take place.
It's not a bad plan entirely, but the only way it would work would be to sacrifice all the soldiers and civilians left on the planet. It would simple take too long to extract them all and the Reapers will probably have more than enough time to figure out what's going on by then.

Well, probably because it would require yet another giant impact (like an asteroid) to do so, and also because that would mean destroying Earth and the largest part of the human population, who are all still on Earth.
I believe somewhere in the game it was mentioned that there are 11 billion humans on Earth.

What hurts the most is all this:
Quote taken directly from the official site:
-Along the way, your choices drive powerful outcomes, including relationships with key characters, the fate of entire civilizations, and even radically different ending scenarios.
And a few from interviews and the like:
-"This story arc is coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot more different. At this point we're taking into account so many decisions that you've made as a player and reflecting a lot of that stuff. It's not even in any way like the traditional game endings, where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got ending A, B, or C."
-"It's more like there are some really obvious things that are different and then lots and lots of smaller things, lots of things about who lives and who dies, civilizations that rose and fell, all the way down to individual characters. That becomes the state of where you left your galaxy. The endings have a lot more sophistication and variety in them."
-"As Mass Effect 3 is the end of the planned trilogy, the developers are not constrained by the necessity of allowing the story to diverge, yet also continue into the next chapter. This will result in a story that diverges into wildly different conclusions based on the player's actions in the first two chapters."
-"I honestly think the player base is going to be really happy with the way we've done it. You had a part in it. Every decision you've made will impact how things go. The player's also the architect of what happens."
It just rubs salt into the wounds.
And this article from 7 days before US launch:
We’re literally days away from the epic launch of Mass Effect 3 and anticipation for the game couldn’t be higher. BioWare has assured gamers that this trilogy capper will provide the satisfying conclusion that rounds out the story of Commander Shepard. In order to craft an experience that really delivers on this promise, BioWare has had to fashion numerous different endings that hinge on the choices made by the player over the course of the entire series. In a recent interview with 360 Magazine, the game’s producer Mike Gamble and discussed how the studio approached the story of ME3.
There are many ways to end Shepard’s story, right? I wouldn’t necessarily say ending Shepard’s story means one thing or the other, like life or death or whatever. It comes to a conclusion and how you get to that conclusion.
There a risks involved in how you get there or how you completely not get there. As in the previous games, you’ll make a decision and you’ll see the outcome and there are huge risks to all of those decisions. It’s not cut and dry.
There are many different endings. We wouldn’t do it any other way. How could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t say any more than that…
Those are blatant lies. Your choices do not affect the ending in the least and all three endings are slight variations on the same ending.
Also, lol pic is funny and depressing at the same time. -> http://i.imgur.com/xUq9t.png
Thank you Bioware, for building up a series that I spent about 150 hours in, got so invested and emotionally attached to the universe and it's inhabitants, just to vilify me in under 15 minutes.

I really think that Bioware was merely rushed for time, and EA didn't want to delay the game again, so Bioware had to rush to make cheap endings.
I can't believe that Bioware would have made endings like these on purpose. They're nothing like what we were promised.
The problems are
-gaping plotholes
-your choices throughout the game have zero impact
-no matter what your choices throughout the game, you can still access every ending
-the endings came out of nowhere and don't even make any sense at all
-the endings are not in touch with the lore of the game
-the endings all basically destroy the ME universe
-the endings provide no closure at all
I'm really appalled by them. I can't even begin to explain how angry and disappointed I am. This was one of the most iconic series' in gaming history, and Bioware just spat in all the fans' faces with these endings. Now instead of remembering it as one of my favorite games ever, I'm only left remembering how much Bioware screwed us over with the last installment.
-
s***. The best game I've played in years, and now my entire experience of it is soured by how s*** the endings are. Great job, Bioware.
-
Well, you can contact EA support, but they're probably just going to direct you to get an exchange at your retailer. You're probably going to need proof of the issue for the retailer, though.

Well now I am MAD AS HELL.
I had a message yesterday to say that Amazon had despatched my order. I am an Amazon Prime member so I should get guaranteed next day delivery. This morning I got emails detailing my preorder bonus codes.
Did I get the game? Did I heck!
Amazon had despatched it via those numpties at Royal Mail who have not got their finger out to deliver it.
*Is MAAAAAAAAD*
A lot of guys in my country also didn't receive theirs due to the postage service striking again. Luckily I live in one of the better provinces so I got mine at 9AM already.
Still, it could just as well have been me. This is Africa.
I hope you get yours sorted soon, though. I know exactly how much it sucks when everyone is playing something and you're still waiting for yours to arrive.

You can get a better idea of just what kind of strain physical retailers put on video game releases by digging around a bit, I think there was an interview a year or two ago with one of the heads over at Paradox Interactive explaining just how much stress was removed by switching almost fully to online distribution (with physical copies through Amazon and such), eliminating the need for worrying about physical retailers completely.
Physical retailers are also the reason why digital copies of games sell for the same price as physical copies. Brick and mortar shops threatened not to stock games from publishers who sell games for cheaper online at release, due to the fact that it would harm sales for physical retailers.

After all this time of owning, I still haven't touched Evochron. Just don't seem to get any time to actually get into it.
-
Has nothing to do with Bioware. They only develop the game.

I'm also going to throw in my agreement here and say that this game puts Skyrim to shame. It's polished, the features fit the game and it will certainly age very well. Basically everything Skyrim isn't.
-
Best news I've heard all day.
-
Yeah, one of my biggest gripes with the game is that enemies can easily interrupt your attacks, but you can't interrupt theirs. Playing as a rogue this is really, really frustrating, seeing as a single mistake can cost you a fight.
-
I'm thinking of trying out Fallen Earth. I've been waiting for it to go F2P, and I see it recently did. It seems to be post-apocalyptic, but that's about as far as my knowledge of it stretches. Might be worth checking out.
-
I put this aside the last week so I could complete another ME2 playthrough before ME3 arrives, having lost my previous ME2 saves. This week I'm going to try and finish this game so I can focus entirely on ME3 on Friday. Hope I can get it finished this week, as the game is VAST. I just finished up the grasslands area and the desert area and then broke the siege at the city, so now it's only that last part to go.
Also, playing pure rogue is pretty tough. Switched to Might soon after.
-
No, because PC gamers are getting screwed over again.
-
Or you get a really awesome-looking weapon, like this one;

And then 5 minutes later you salvage the prismere hammer below it and make a weapon that's about twice as good.
-
I need to replay ME2 before 3 comes out. Garrus died in my last save, so if I don't replay I won't have any sexy time with him in 3. :(

All games don't run on the same software, so something that works on one might not work on the other. Might be easier to get a helpful answer if you tried on the specific games' respective forums. If the developers frequent them they might be able to help you.
