  1. Thanks Sphered, I’ll look at how Inigo implements it as I only have basic knowledge of scripts at the moment as I’m still learning as I go along.
  2. I'm trying to get Kaidan to comment on certain objects loaded into locations, so that whenever he is near this certain object he will comment on it. Say for instance there are some shackles in that location, he will say something about them. I'm not sure what condition to put in his idle comment. Help would be appreciated so much.
  3. Hi again, can anyone help? I'm also wanting to know how I can implement some more dialogue when asking Kaidan for a hug or to undress. Unfortunately the script source isn't available.

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on a Kaidan 2 dialogue improvement and extra comments mod, and I noticed there is a comment in there that Kaidan should use when you heal him, but it's never triggered. I've been trying different ways to make the comment trigger, but no such luck. I don't know how to do scripting so I haven't a clue what to do there. I'm also wanting to add the dialogue that Kaidan has when you use your shout, because these aren't triggering. I've also noticed some comments Kaidan should use in Riften and when Farkas turns into a werewolf, but these are never triggered either. Help would be much appreciated x
  5. I'm scratching my head at this one. I made a cybernetic arm for the left side, and attached the basic hand to the right, but for some reason the hand texture isn't showing for the right hand, even though it is correctly linked in materials. It shows the body skin instead. Does anyone know why it is doing this? The body mesh is the usual slot 33, then I tick left hand and right hand. If I leave the right hand unticked it's just invisible.
  6. I've recently converted some hair from the Days Gone game, and I have run into an issue, my guy has a big bald head sticking out the back. Now I know I could just make the hat bigger at the back but it looks silly, so I'm wondering if there is a way to hide the scalp. The hat hair I am making as a hat/helmet accessory, and not an actual hair option. Also, I am doing quite a few Days Gone conversions and I was wondering if they are okay to share on NexusMods due to them being from another game, I'm not asking for donations or anything so its basically just a free sharing project I'm working on. Thank you!
  7. Just an update. I’ve managed to find out how to give Nate interject comments, but I was wondering if there is a way to add interjections wherever I feel them appropriate and not just in companion interjections section. As for scripts, I have been studying hard these past few days, still I haven’t got anywhere. I made a script to get Nate to comment when a door is chained but nothing happens sadly.

Hi everyone, l have been working on my Dual Survivors Nate add on pack for some time now, and I’ve added a ton of extra dialogue to Kesabelus’s fantastic mod, but I’m now wanting to add some conversation interjections to it to beef Nate’s dialogue even more. There are already some interjections in the original mod, but I’m wanting to make Nate interject in conversations as frequently as vanilla followers do. I have looked at how the original creator did this, and how the creator of the Nora Spouse Companion mod did it and I’ve tried, but nothing happens. Can anyone point me in the right direction? It’s something I’ve been wanting to know how to do since I started work on it, I love how the creator of the Nora Spouse Companion did it and I’m wanting to do similar for Nate. I can’t even find any tutorials on YouTube. I’ve even struggled with scripts as I tried attaching a vanilla one but failed. Scripting is something else I’m still trying to figure out, as I have a lot of ideas for the Nate companion mod I would love to add such as getting him to smoke, hug you and stuff.   11. Hi everyone, I'm currently working on some tattoo textures, but I'm having a problem with them glowing in game. I've looked into the material files and tried to configure them so they're similar to other tattoos, but its still glowing. The tattoos I'm making are Looks Menu overlays, so I'm not wanting to paint them directly on to skin textures. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Image attached below. Thank you!

  13. I love having a follower with me constantly, but what niggles me is when they back away from you when you get too close (seems odd when your follower is your love interest). I have AFT and even turned off collision, and my follower still backs away. Is there a mod to stop this, or how could it be made? Thank you

Ok, so I’ve been trying to make my first ever script in Creation Kit, and I paste in the above in step one for the chained door and changed the yourcompanionreference to NateAlias, and where it says customkeyword I put playeractivatedoorchained. I’m not sure if this is right or not. How do I link this to Nate’s dialogue? Do I create a new topic in player dialogue or a new quest or new scene, then link the script in scripts section of the new line of dialogue? I’m sorry if this sounds completely dumb, scripting is new territory for me. I have been watching tutorials on YouTube and reading stuff, but my brain is in freeze mode lol!

  16. How do I get a custom follower to react to the player trying to activate a chained door or owned bed? I’ve been trying to work it out in Creation Kit but unfortunately I haven’t managed to get anywhere. I would appreciate the help. I’m not good with scripts at the moment, and I’ve been researching them but haven’t got anywhere yet. Thank you!

Hello everyone, im working on an extra dialogue mod for Dual Survivors Nate, and I’ve managed to cram an extra 1000 lines of dialogue into him so far (I am going to release this when completed) To make a more interesting diverse character, I was wanting to get Nate to react to your player character finding items like: holotapes, caps, nuke cola etc. I was thinking by using getisid might work, but I’m not certain. I am also wanting to get Nate to react to player character entering a bed (owned and available) player sitting on the sofa, or you selecting a locked door. I’m hoping to achieve this without making scripts as I haven’t got a clue how to make a script,so I’m hoping to take advantage of creation kits inbuilt tools. I was also wanting to create a scene where the player character exits vault 111 with Nate for the first time. I wanted a scene where Nate gasps and reacts to the world when he first sees it, and also for him to say that he wants to go see their old home. I’ve never created a scene before, and as Nate already has scenes I don’t want to mess them up. Also, how would I get Nate to use specific dialogue reactions when player character is talking to a certain npc? Like when you do a BoS/Railroad/Minutemen quest etc. Thank you
  19. Awesome stuff! Thank you, Cumbrianlad for your help once again! I've dabbled with voice stuff so I sort of knew my way around it, but this has helped me so much more. Yeah, there's a few more swear words I'd like to hear Kaidan come out with, gives me a good chuckle when I hear them lol! I will make good use of your advise, and if it turns out that I made a good additional bit of dialogue, I will contact the creator and ask if I can share. If not, then I will at least have some extra knowledge on voicing characters. Thank you x
  20. Hi Cumbrianlad, yeah I’m wanting to give Kaidan 2 some extra dialogue. It’s for personal use, mostly adding more random dialogue, answers to questions, weather and combat dialogue using words from the original voice. I don’t want to change anything, just add to it. If it turns out great and I was allowed, perhaps it could be released, but only if the original creator would allow this. As he’s a custom voiced character I’m not sure of the rules on this. But either way I want to practice making voiced dialogue with my favourite follower, he has quite a few rarely used dialogues that would fit in great. Thanks for your help x
  21. I’m trying to give a custom voiced npc additional dialogue, I have successfully managed this, but for some reason it is affecting their original dialogue by removing some of it. I made the edits as a plugin esp file so it doesn’t alter the original mods esp file. Thank you.
  22. I am having a problem with the hairlines not showing up when I create a hairstyle as a helmet. I merged both hair and hairline together successfully, but only the hair and not the hairline is working. I am trying to make a craftable hair pack so that I can give different npc’s new hairstyles in game. Thank you.
  23. Hi there, I would like to be able to make a custom npc that you can change hairstyles in game. I’m not sure if I would have to create a scripted mod or not to allow this option, but I am willing to give it a try. You know when you just want to change your npcs hair whenever you feel like it, that’s what I would like to create. Sadly, I have had no success creating a helmet wig, due to the hairline turning invisible, so I’m thinking of other options. Thank you!
