  1. Last night I was playing the game as normal. I fast traveled to a town only to find myself rooted to the spot I was standing. When I tried to move it showed the walk/run animation, but I couldn't go anywhere. My horse happened to be close enough to me to hop on, so I got on and was able to move about as normal. Whenever I got off the horse though I found myself stuck again. I tried getting off the horse in all sorts of terrain including water with no change. I reloaded earlier saves before I had the problem and was still unable to move around. I used the TCL console command and was able to move around freely, however whenever I turned clipping back on I would be stuck, even if I was in mid-air at the time. I also noticed that most of the NPCs were nowhere to be found, and MOST of the ones that were seemed to suffer from the same thing, ie walking in place. I exited the game and verified the game files. Once I did this, everything returned to normal. I'm not really sure what happened, but I thought I'd post my experience here in case someone else out there is having the same issue.
  2. Last night I was running around exploring when a bear began running towards me for the attack. I turned to engage and just about that time a dragon I didn't even see landed right in front of me. I quickly wasted it with some lighting magic. Once the dragon was defeated I turned my attention on the bear just in time to see it high-tailing its way out of there. I never did find that sucker. I guess he decided he had picked a fight with the wrong person.
  3. I played as a strict destruction magic mage for the first 30 or so levels of my character. I specialized in lighting magic with all the relevant perks and used gear that lowered the cost of my spells vice magic regen or increased mana. I also wear nothing but cloth. Playing on the default difficulty I have had little to no trouble with anything in the game. With the perk that stuns people upon dual casting there is no reason a mage should ever lose that fight as you can continually cast the spell over and over keeping him stunned. When a group comes at my I switch to chain lighting and do the same. It arcs and hits them all. Also, since my spells are virtually free I never carry magic potions and only carry a couple healing potions, so I'd say alchemy is optional.
  4. I think it has already been mentioned, but after the 1.3 patch I was unable to play. I found a fix that worked for me though. Simply re-verifying file integrity for the game on steam corrected whatever issues were preventing the game from running for me. Just a thought.
  5. I used to play Skyrim, but then I took a patch to the game.
