  1. So I am having trouble with a glitch where if I look in a certain direction, the lighting engine breaks or something and it get's super dark no matter what. The Fr4nsson's Light Tweaks and ENBlocal fix doesn't seem to effect it with them on or off. The glitch happens both indoors and outdoors. Not sure if it's an ini setting gone wrong or what. I really want this glitch to be gone so I can fully enjoy my game. It really makes it hard to sneak around when I think it's really dark, but in truth it's not and I can be easily detected. Edit: forgot to mention, when the glitch is present, turning on my Pipboy light doesn't illuminate the area at all. Edit2: Now after some tinkering with ENB, it seems the glitch vanished when I disabled the Use fix with out graphics option. I'll go ahead and revert that to see if the glitch returns and return with my findings. Edit3: Ok, it is confirmed that for what ever reason, using the speedhack patch in ENBlocal with out graphics option set to true causes this glitch for me. I guess I'll go find a nice ENB preset to go along with my Reshade.
  2. I do now, using my own preset, but it's overpowered and I'm not so good at getting the settings good. Also the presets on the nexus don't use the new preset format.
  3. So my game is running pretty well with ENBoost installed. I go and install one of the many fine ReShade presets and nothing. The game refuses to launch, but the Fallout 4 process is running in the background. If I go and install the latest version of ReShade, it runs just fine along side ENB but no preset. I would have to make my own, and many of the effects I want are not present in the latest version for some reason. I am on Windows 10 64bit btw using MO2. Edit: Solved this by installing ReShade 3.0.5 and finding a preset that works with the latest framework and working from there, now my game looks really good! I might actually upload my preset if any of you are interested.
  4. I was talking to a buddy of mine and he was playing Diablo 3 and that reminded me of that universal chest mod for SSE. The talk about storage got me going on this mod idea as a way to make traveling and inventory management and storage more immersive, realistic and survivalist. Before I would always use that better horses mod or what ever it was called and used the horse as storage, which is like how they did it in Daggerfall. You walk to the dungeon entrance and activate and store loot on your horse or horse and carriage with out leaving. Since there are mods for riding in a horse drawn carriage ala the opening but to each hold capital, it would be theoretical possible now with 64bit skyrim, then SKSE and ported and more advanced SKSE memory patch to have a mod where you can buy and attach any sort of carriage to your horse, the bigger they are, the more horses you need and you need to also purchase them individually. So you could have a small cart that attaches to your horse for extra more realistic storage on the go, or get a bigger carriage where NPC's and followers can ride on as you drive them around. This would be really awesome for players who have several followers and a mod that increases the max amount and don't like to fast travel. Could have it made that any npc that will follow you that is outside of your normal followers to get on and ride if there is space. Maybe even have an extra horse for when you have more than the cart can hold. This way you would have one of your followers ride and have horse back combat either with range or melee to defend the cart. The next step after that and it would come after the main features are finished and stable. You could have build-able stables to store your horses and places to put your carriages up at your hearthstone player homes. Player made homes would have to be patches made with permission of the original modder of said home. Then we could make npc caravans that drive carriages in trade with other cities. These can be hijacked by riding along side them and jumping onto the carriage and wrestling the npc off and riding off with the carriage. You lose what the npc has but you get whats in the carriage. This could add more jobs you can do for the Thieves Guild and help bring in some serious coin for the guild. Other ideas include a survival mode to go along with survival and realism mods. such as giving every thing realistic weight even coins. This would make it feel like the Oregon Trail. Having the general store sell parts for fixing your wagon or carriage. Maybe even adding in oxen or a similar lore friendly beast of burden. Now I figured a mod like this would need a beefy system and SKSE64. I feel like my system with 16GB of DDR3 would be able to run such a mod. Just need SKSE. That's all I could think up for now, I'm sure some features of mods like better horses (If I am remembering the mod right) could be integrated into this mod. Think of having your own caravan of 100 followers. I am really excited for the future of SSE modding and mods in general for TES6 and the next Fallout possibly from Obsidian. I hope BethSoft looks at all the mods being made for SSE and itegrates them into TES6. I'm mainly talking about small mods like Torches Cast Shadows which is still buggy, but if it was a built in feature it wouldn't be. And I seem to remember TES4 having that as an optional ini edit. Well I went off track so I'll end the post here. I kinda want to get back into trying to mod but I never really got far. Just far enough to make one of those bottles give bottle caps mod for FO3.
  5. So I have a question, since SSE is 64-bit, would the SKSE memory patch for Oldrim even be needed? Or would a fully functioning SKSE64 be able to push the boundries of what the old patch offered. On a related note, do you think ENBoost will be needed? My new system has 16GB 2400 DDR3 and 8GB GDDR5 RX 480. I want to get the best out of my system. I have a mod idea, though I won't be able to make it as I have no skill in making a mod of this caliber, but I do have the idea fleshed out and will be making a post about it, maybe to inspire another mod creator. I feel like this mod would only work well if we could get SKSE64 running at a level on par or higher than with Oldrim.
  6. When I disable the mod in question, certain NPC's have invisible heads. Also NPCs are sitting on benches backwards. I am getting really frustrated now, I might have to start all over. I give up, there are to many issues with my install. Like textures not being applied, missing meshes, floating meshes.
  7. So Diversity was working fine the other day and now every NPC is black face and bald. I can't figure out what is conflicting. I'll post my load order below.   8. I got the Apachii textures to work. The problem was with Diversity - An NPC Overhaul. I did not realize that LOOT didn't recognize it and that the esp had to be at the bottom. So I edited the meta data in LOOT to have it load after the bottom esp and now the skin and hair textures for the npcs being effected are back to normal. Thanks for all the help!
  9. Thank you. Now I figured out it was Northfire's Photoreal mountains causing the glitch on the mountains. I've removed that. Now is it the issue with Oldrim BSAs and packed BSAs causing the issue with certain NPC hairs to be purple and their skin to be really dark?
  10. So I am on Windows 10, SSE is installed on C which is an SSD. I am using MO2. Now I remember from the current number 1 file on the MoM it says MO2 can't handle BSA right, and I wasn't sure how to unpack them. Could that be causing the purple hair and issue with mountain textures? Here is a picture of both issues I have.   11. I installed some new textures recently and for some reason the waterfall outside of the skeletal lords boss room has turned bright pink/purple. Does any one know the texture for the waterfall?
  12. Just bumping this in hopes a better modder could fix this issue in the game, otherwise I'll go about giving it a shot. Edit: I found the texture for the problem, I'll go about seeing how I can fix this either with enhancements or drawing the texture from scratch.
  13. As I was heading up the elevator to Iron Keep, I noticed how terrible and low resolution the iron bars were compared to the rest of the scene. I've included a screenshot to show the issue. In the scene, the iron bars of the elevator are very pixelated and smudged compared the the high res textures of the wall, floor and of course my character. http://i.imgur.com/l2pEbVa.jpg
  14. This is a neat idea, it would be cool if we could mod certain sound effect's like we could textures with GeDoSaTo. I was thinking though, to instead play the Final Fantasy Victory Fanfare when beating a boss.
  15. Is there anything like a tool that will record what mods were doing what, like a script or something, right when the game crashed. My game keeps randomly crashing and I have no idea what mod is causing it. This idea of mine actually came to me in a dream, I was browsing the skyrim nexus site and saw a mod that was just what I described.

  17. People have talked about this, I think this is a good idea. most of the time, people make fixed and upload them as separate files and credit the original author.
  18. I'm almost to the end of the first act, I love this game, but it doesn't seem very mod friendly. I't defiantly needs better tweaking like higher res textures etc.

I really don't like how you have to wait 3 hours to endorse a file, and by the time that limit is up, most people forget about that file. so I suggest a message system that notifies a user of files that they downloaded that they have yet to endorse. it will be like: you have downloaded "so and so mod" and you have yet to endorse it. what do you think of this mod? if you like it, why don't you go give it a thumbs up and endorse it. this will help a lot of modders with their endorsements. for example, Liquid Water has 275 or so endorsements, yet it has 18K unique downloads. I think the major cause of this is laziness and forgetfulness. so I suggest a simple reminder for those who forget to endorse a file they downloaded. Tell me what you think of this. this suggestion could greatly improve the rating system that The Nexus currently has.

  21. I asked them about their Terms of Use policy and I got this email, now it doesn't specifically state the use of assets, but I sent another email asking for clarification on this.   22. When ever I use AA in DAO, the screen gets really blury. but if I turn it off, it goes back to normal.
  23. Not sure whats causing it to crash. Here are all the mods I have and DLC. EDIT: System specs if you need it: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit Core 2 Quad Q6600 OCd @ 3.07GHz 2 x 2GB GEIL DDR3 1333mhz Radeon HD 4650 512mb ddr2 is there some compatibility patch I missed? as the FOIP ones are outdated. and is there anyway to get Destruction to work with FOOK 1.2 as the *censored* ESM is missing but it seem that was integrated into another esm/esp in 1.2. so maybe a dummy esp? EDIT2: I think I fixed it, just realized I still had the destruction esm loaded, forgot that when I was uninstalling. should work now.
  24. Ok, so I'm reinstalling Morrowind, and I've seen different videos of Morrowind looking better then Oblivion even. and which one is the best out there?
