Yes. If the save depends on mods that are not there, it can crash. If you did not disable mods with scripts before uninstalling them, they can leave remnants that can also cause crashes. My advice, which of course you are free to ignore, is to start over, clean reinstall, remembering to remove any files steam misses, especially old save games and manually installed mods. It may hurt for a bit, but the pain of fussing with corrupted saves will probably hurt more in the long run. If there is a way to somehow "revive" this save I'd really rather do it. I know it's safer going with a clean reinstall, but if I do that it's basically throwing hundreds of hours away. Not to mention having to do a lot of missions I didn't like again because I have to (The quests you need to do to actually be able to fight dragons and find shout words...). Thanks a lot though.

I recently reformatted my computer, and backed up 2 of my saves: my main character's save and my secondary's. After I installed Skyrim and Dawnguard on my PC, there seems to be a problem with my main character's save. Whenever I try to load it, it just crashes to desktop. However, when I load my secondary's save, everything seems to be working fine. Does anyone have an idea what's wrong with my save? Could it be because of any mods (I had around 40 before I reformatted my computer and now I have like 10) I had? Is there anyway to know? I really don't want to lose my main character after the hundreds of hours I put into it, so if anyone could help me with this it would be very much appreciated =(

So, there's this perk in the archery called "Quick Shot" which allows you to draw your bow 30% faster, and I was kind of wondering what it does to a crossbow, seeing as you don't really draw a crossbow...

But isn't the flying form stronger/better?

Vampire Lords use magicka as their main resource, right? Well, I don't really have a lot of magicka and I was wondering if it would be a problem :\

No, I mean, I want to be a Vampire Lord but I don't have all that much magicka...

Oh, alright. One last question, I am currently level 24 with only 130 magicka. Is my pitiful amount of magicka going to be a big problem? What should/can I do about it? P.S: Thank you for being so helpful and patient with me, much appericiated :)

Does the vampires faction get a better version of these sun damaging arrows (Sorry for being such a derpbag xP)?

So, this was probably suggested like a million times before me, but still... Can someone retexture the Vampire Lord? I don't think it looks as epic as it should be... Perhaps something like the player+wings and claws? Or skin color change (Colorful Vampire Lords! :D)? I'd be grateful for anything :P EDIT: I should have added [Mod Suggestion] or something, sorry >.<

I kind of want to enjoy the storyline I paid $20 for to the max but at the same time know some gameplay consequences, if that makes any sense at all. Anyway, I think I understand. Even though I'm a Dawnguard, I can still damage the sun at the end of the storyline, right?

But do I get to do something to the sun? Do the vampires get to do more to the sun overall? And do I need to become a vampire now, then cure myself, and then ask her to turn me back, or can I just tell her off now and then ask her to make me a vampire after I finish the storyline?

Don't I get to side with the vampires instead at the end of the Dawnguard storyline? Because if I become a vampire I kind of want to turn off the sun and whatnot...
