  1. So, out of morbid curiosity, has anyone else thought about retconning the style of power armor seen in the new Fallout 4 trailer into 3 yet? As in the one that opens up from the back and the player steps into? I doubt it could be done exactly as seen but I imagine it could be loosely done ...
  2. I have an issue where I've entered in my mods, and when I load an autosave or almost any save, the game loading screen enters an undending loop. Any ideas?
  3. I'm interested in something far more challenging: setting up an inventory equipment rig similar to that found in Far Cry 3 or the Witcher series: Two two-handed weapons worn on the back OR one super heavy weapon (i.e. a flamethrower, Gatling Gun or Fat Man), two or three one-handed weapons worn on the belt; about a dozen or two dozen stimpacks and/or Jet injectors; and a Backpack for which several mods already exist. The difference I have in mind is: all items outside of the backpack MUST be equipped, and all items would be VISIBLE on the player in third person mode. Much more lore-friendly and helpful to aid in the willing suspension of disbelief.
  4. Seeing as this seems to be the thread to talk to ... I have a similar problem. I found a pack brahmin mod that allows for only 250 extra carrying capacity. I decided to add a new perk in its own esp to give the pack brahmin a more realistic carrying capacity. I can assign the perk to the character easily enough, but the inventory stats will not change in spite of everything I can think of. Any thoughts on what I might be missing?
  5. Allow me to run a hypothetical situation by interposing my own problem on fallout 3: I am interested in giving an added character a new perk to bolster its carrying capacity to a more realistic level via the G.E.C.K. program provided by Bethesda. I have studied as many of the facets as I can find, I have created the perk as my own esp file, and I have attempted to insert the perk into the character's stats. All actions performed as expected; however, the stats will not carry over into the game or previewed stats. Obviously I missed something, but exactly what it is escapes me. I think this is an example of what croc13 has in mind ....
  6. While playing with Pogi's wonderful little mod "Bessy the Pack Brahmin" I began to agree with many of the users who said Bessie needed to be able to carry MUCH more equipment than she had been set with. To that end I created an Actor Effect called "Brahmin Back" which is a variant of the Strong Back Actor Effect. I experimented with applying it to the esp, but despite all my best efforts the A.E. will not only not translate into the game, it will not even affect the preview stats in GECK!!! WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!?!?!???
  7. This is for Fallout 3 by the way not Fallout New Vegas ...
  8. Has anyone figured out a way to create a first person mod that combines first and third person mechanics? Has anyone discovered the script that can move the camera along all three axes and not just X & Y? I know there are mods aplenty that cover body insertion and weapon positioning but they just don't create the same immersive experience I had hoped to achieve. If i could just lock the camera to a point an inch in front of the player's nose and have it compensate for player movement ... but I have yet to find a clue as to how to actually do this.
