Well, I can't comment about the awesomeness, as that's a matter of personal taste. But you do know that magazines can be reloaded with new rounds, right? :P
ofc i know that but my point is, as far as realism goes. its far more practical with a revolver as it takes much less time reloading a revolve than a magazine during combat
It does?
yes it is..... you dont need a magazine for a revolver, just bullets. think about it.
So, its faster to load bullets into a cylinder individually, vice popping in a new magazine and dropping the slide forward. Right.
What I meant was, I think I was unclear, You need to FIND an extra magazine in order to "POP" the magazine in right? Or was it taped to the side of the gun when you found it? If you find ONE pistol with ONE magazine. What happens if you ahve to reload that ONE magazine during combat? (IN REAL LIFE) It takes a heck of a lot of time. If you find a revolver all you have to do is find ammunition and you're good to go. No need to find an extra magazine to speed up the process... Think of real damn life not a computer game where people have magically gotten a hold of extra magazines as they buy ammo from vendors. Right If you don't at least swallow your pride and admit you're wrong I pity you.

Somebody really needs to make a lot mot revolvers. Thats what I would have used in a post-apocalyptic wasteland anyway, you don't need to find magazines for that just bullets. Its more practical, and revolvers are awesome right?

Hey,
So I have been messing with the FNV music ( because I prefer my Dark Ambient Projects instead of vanilla music ) and I am still trying to understand the "low" "mid" and "high" tracks, like these for example:
Music/DNGN/Dungeon1/
mus_DNGN_One_1Low
mus_DNGN_One_1Low(alt)
mus_DNGN_One_2Mid
mus_DNGN_One_3High
Now I know that I need to rename my own Mp3s I wish to replace these vanilla tracks with, with the same names.
What I did originally in F3.
But what does the "low" "low(alt)" "mid" and "high" exactly mean?
When do these tracks play?
Does a track change from "low" to "mid" when I cross some invisible marker in a Cell that determines that I, the player, have crossed the marker and now it's time for "mid" track to be played?
If I could better understand how the music system works, then it be easier for me to replace the music in my FNV game.
Any advice/help be appreciated.
Thank you
From what I understand the New Vegas music system is 10 million times more complex than Fallout 3s music system, and you can't add songs in the normal way of copy, paste, renaming. But I could be wrong. What you could do is play a playlist with the songs in the background. Until some clever dude comes up with a way of adding music.

I realized I havent added my own character :pinch: So here it goes!
This is my 2nd character, Robert he's in his 40s. (I accidently deleted my first save) He is an ex-merc with a past he is not proud of, he quit the merc band and decided to move east and work as a courier to earn some caps, so he could settle down and start a family. But thats when he met Benny, and you know the rest. He mostly use pistols and shotguns altough sometimes he uses an SMG, but is also a very talented sniper from his time with the merc band. (I havent gotten very far since the save is relatively fresh, I have just made it to Novac and helped Boone, and recruited him.)

I can do up?
No offence. But I smell trolling here...

Alright. I took matter into my own hands. After 2 minutes I realize its really easy. BUT! When I change the animation into a 2 handed assault rifle, the reloading animation gets screwed up. Any ideas anyone? Real ideas not just just change the reloading animations. I've done that but which reloading animation is which? I mean they're labled Reload A,B,C etc

I hate how the 10 mm SMG is held in the game. It sucks. I have no idea what the creators thought when they made it like that? You dont hold an MP5 like that! It could be made two handed easily. Maybe even lengthen the barrel to make it look better when you hold it two handed. Come on modders! Dont wield the SMG like its some crappy Jean-Claude Van Damme movie! Cant anybody change it? BEFORE I GO MAD!!!
// annoying dude.

Im interested in what other people's characters look like, and what type of character it is. Like sniper, melee, straight up combat or a hybrid. Post images.

I was just curious about peoples decisions. I'm wondering, those of you who have pre-ordered New Vegas. Which version have you ordered? I went for the Caravan pack myself. Come on! How could you not?! An exclusive shotgun and leather armor.
And YES! I know the exclusive contents will probably be available on the nexus later on but still....

There's a lack of revolvers in this game... Could someone skilled make more? I'm talking like S&W Model 29 with shorter barrel, 4" for example. (Thats the magnum which is already i the game, i think) Maybe a .38 special, magnum .357, .454 casull etc... Not like skins for the .32 and .44 already in the game.

It is quite simple.
Open the mod in the CS making it the active file. In the Object window, go to Actors> NPC>Player.
Double click to open it. Go to Inventory. Remove things by highlighting and pushing the delete button. Add things by dragging and dropping from menus such as Armor and Weapons.
When you are done, click the floppy disk icon to save.
WAIT A MINUTE!
I just downloaded and tested this mod, and it is broken. I can't think what else it could be conflicting with. I must have a dirty mod somewhere. In my copy, you arrive outside Leyawiin in wrist irons, jail clothes and with no weapons. I opened the CS and it has you with a bow, sword, middleclass clothes, torches, lockpicks, and gold.
So if yours is broken like mine is, it won't matter what you change because it is unchangeable. I guess I could put this mod last in my load order. That might work.
The alt start mod I use is at:
http://elderscrolls.filefront.com/file/Mod_Alternative_Start_Arrive_by_Boat_Version_10;113467
EDIT:
I found the problem. "Spider Pig's House" turns out to be a dirty mod. I keep it in my load order because I like the teleportation spell. I will have to go clean it.
Thank you for the reply!

I was wondering if someone out there can explain to me, step by step, how to modify the starting equipment in "Alternatvive Start" by TheDCProject? I won't upload it without permission of course, it's just for personal use.

I have an AWESOME idea for a mod, i guess it would be a conversion mod. But it could also be made into another land using GTS i think. Have anyone ever read Deathlands? A book series by James Axler. It's a lot like Mad Max, exept it's in North America. I'm thinking, change the fallout world to the Deathlands world, with a new story line. And u change the super mutants to stickys and such. And ghouls to mutants and more races of mutants. Just like in the Deathlands. Maybe even create some of the characters from the Deathlands, like Ryan Cawdor and Krysty Wroth. The weapons pretty much exist in FOOK 2. It's a pretty big mod but it WILL be AWESOME.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deathlands <----------read on that adress of Deathlands.

More Revolvers!
in Mod Ideas

Alright. Let put it this way. Here's a list of the advantages and disadvantages of pistols and revolvers. Again i'm talking about real life.
PISTOLS+
Bigger magazine
Light and Compact
More safety features
Easy to pull the trigger
PISTOLS-
You need extra magazines (if you want to reload during combat)
Requires more maintenance
Complex (can be hard for beginners)
"Jamming" Relys on the first round being fired, if it does not fire (for some reason) the gun jams.
REVOLVERS+
Requires little maintenance
Easy to use (for beginners)
Easy to reload. (especially with speedloaders)
Reliable (If one round doesnt fire you can just keep on pulling the trigger until the next round does.)
(Not sure if this goes in here, but the double-action revolver is much more common in the USA for example, thus having more ammo available.)
REVOLVER-
Only 5-6 rounds
Bulky
Harder to pull the trigger ( IF IT IS A DOUBLE ACTION)
Less safety
Basically, if you are a beginner at firearms you want to go for the revolver. More reliable and easier to use. While hunting for example, those that go out with a semi-automatic as protection in the woods (from bears and such) isnt very smart. Unless you use a Desert Eagle .50AE That might stop a bear. But if you have a grizzly charging you a 9mm semi automatic or even a .40 won't do s*** against it. If you carry a Magnum .44 or sometimes even a .357 you're going to go home at the end of the day by your self and not in a body bag.
