  1. I have CBBE installed with Silky Smooth Skin. I'm also using TBA (The Body of Alice CBBE preset) along with 2pac's skimpy clothing. Everything works great on my character, my companions, and every female NPC I've come across so far, including random Settlers at my settlements. UNTIL... I went to Greentop Nursery and ran into this female settler: http://s23.postimg.org/e6i4dmpiz/Fallout4_2016_01_30_21_52_17_68.jpg For some reason the game is giving her the default female skin with underwear, which of course doesn't work with the CBBE body. She was originally wearing one of 2pac's outfits, but I used the console command "recycleactor" to get this screenshot. Looking at the light and dark patches on her, it almost seems as though the game may be using 2 skins combined. I looked through the NPC list with FO4edit and couldn't find any particular unique NPC named "Settler" that's assigned to Greentop Nursery. Nor could I find (using Bethesda Archive Extractor) any other skin used by females (such as the possibility of "old female" skin. Any help would be appreciated. If all else fails I guess I'll simply have to kill her off.
  2. In response to post #33522225. I saw it downloading in my Steam Library when Steam updated to the Hotfix, but it's not listed in Steam notes or anywhere that I could find. So yeah... it's an "invisible" update and didn't change the version number.
  3. I was really surprised that this long after release this issue has yet to be addressed by Bethesda, or even widely spoken about (I couldn't find a single discussion about it when Googling). If you play a female character, when you use the Pipboy you have "man hands" instead of "girl hands". I find this totally immersion-breaking. It would be awesome if someone could make a mod to fix this issue. Cheers!
  4. Pay to play? Where did you get that? My take on it is that it's nothing more than Steam trying to take the place of Nexus as a storage house for mods. That will never happen, guaranteed. Any serious modder will still be uploading their mods manually to the Nexus site. And as has been mentioned, Nexus allows adult mods. Lastly, since you can keep Steam in offline mode, I'm sure the same will apply to this Steam Workshop thing. Really the best thing to do at this point, though hardly anyone probably will, is to not play Skyrim until the Spring of 2012. By then almost all bugs will be fixed, either by the devs or modders, and there will be tons of great mods available to make the game super-freaking-awesome and just the way you want it.
  5. No, max level is around 81 from what I've heard. Once/if you get all your skills to 100, you stop leveling. This happens around level 80ish. Slows down around 50. Remember also that if, for example, you're playing a mage, you won't be maxing 2-handed weapons, block, etc...
  6. Here's what I did to make him vanish (PC). May or may not work for other people: Open the console by pressing tilde ~ type: setstage ms03 300 type: setessential 13368 0 Click on Letrush so his ID number appears, then type: kill disable Do this for all clones.
  7. Don't update until they patch the patch. :P
  8. The patch broke more things than it fixed. The fixes were mostly very minor (just about every fix said "fixed rare problem"). Over the past month I've reported at least half a dozen major bugs, of which none have been addressed, such as your spouse never sleeping, thus preventing being able to get "Lover's Comfort" bonus, picking up an item that's the same as a favorited item so you have 2 of them in your inventory causes the original item to be removed from your favorites and your hotkey, etc... All I can say is *sigh*.
  9. No doubt we'll eventually have pointless "sex on demand" mods for Skyrim, which I'll avoid as I did in Oblivion. Cast a spell, have sex, *yawn*. Hopefully at least one or two capable adult modders will come up with a mod that has a quest line, story line/plot line, and something a tad more interesting than the usual fare. The most interesting adult Oblivion mod I ever saw was one called "Chain Beasts", which was awesome in its concept (BDSM), though a bit buggy. There could be an offshoot of Dibella worship that kidnaps people, for example, and uses them in sexual rites.
  10. The best one owned by a female is Uthgerd the Unbroken in Whiterun. You can pick the lock on "Uthgerd's House" in Whiterun if you want to check it out. Find Uthgerd in the Bannered Mare, beat her in a fistfight to make her eligible for marriage. Complete the marriage questline from Maramal in Riften. Wear the amulet of Mara and talk to Uthgerd.
  11. There is currently no way to leave your horse behind if you use the fast travel ability. If you get the horse named Frost from the quest in Riften, you can use the console command: setessential 97E1E 1 Which will prevent him from ever dying. Another option is to open the console, use the mouse to click on your horse (you'll see the ID number appear), then type in the console: modav health 10000 Which will give your horse 10,000 hit points. I suspect that once the construction kit comes out someone will come up with a better solution.
  12. From what I can tell, they may have scripted abilities but it doesn't look like they have perks. I loaded a low-level save and then used console commands to give Lydia 100 heavy armor, 100 2-handed weapon skill, and a whole slew of 2-handed weapon perks. Gave her an Orc Greatsword and it still took her 5 minutes to kill a guy I could have killed solo in 30 seconds or less. Oh, and I also upped her stamina to 300. It may be as Stoned says, the game gives NPC's abilities based on the level of your own. Once I got to a certain level I saw for the first time an NPC use the disarm skill on me.
  13. I won't marry anyone until the construction kit comes out. Because... you know that someone, or perhaps a few people, will make a "Romance xxxx (NPC)" quest-line, as well as probably adding new animations for kissing/hugging/etc, just like they did for Oblivion. Not to mention the fact that someone else will make a mod that gives you a companion that ONLY tanks and never uses the bow. Marriage in Skyrim as it stands right now is more like a business arrangement. And finally, after the CK is released we'll get better skeletons, better meshes, better animations, and better skins.
  14. If you have the Lover Stone active, you CANNOT get a rested/well rested sleeping bonus, ever. set playeriswerewolf to 0 player.setstage F6090 100 Didn't even have to save/quit. After typing those in the console I was back to getting my sleeping "well rested" bonus. Thanks!
  15. Can't seem to find what controls the camera speed when switching from 3rd person to 1st person, but it would be awesome if that can be made almost instantaneous. Pain in the neck when you're zoomed way out in 3rd person and get attacked, then have to wait for the camera to lazily make its way back into 1st person mode.
  16. I don't know that there's a fix yet, although a new patch is supposed to be out after Thanksgiving, but what I've noticed in-game is that you have to press the favorites key twice to dual-wield, whether it's a weapon or magic. So for example if you have a steel sword favorited and bound to the #1 key, pressing 1 will equip it in your right hand, pressing 1 again will equip a second one in your left hand.
  17. Hi all. I'm kinda confused about the difficulty scaling... well, let me tell you why I came here. I had a quest to kill a guy in a cave. Went there, the cave is full of bandits. 2 were at the entrance (I'm playing a mage), I toasted them like they were weaklings. Ditto for the next 5 or 6 I ran across. Then this other bandit shows up casting lightning at me and he kills me like he's level 20 and I'm level 1. It was no contest. The second time I took a companion, and when I got to that part I dunno if she died or what, cuz I didn't see her fighting. When the mage showed up, I must have drank 20 potions to make it thru that battle, then some other bandit kills me, lol. This was near the starter city, and on normal (adept) difficulty. So... two questions: 1. Are NPC mages overpowered? 2. Are some instances specifically made so that you'll probably get killed if you're below a certain level? Should I just save this particular quest for later? P.S. I'm a Breton, so already have a 25% resistance to magic. Go figure...
  18. There's a new mod on Skyrim Nexus that does this, and the author is taking requests for specific helmets.
  19. Game runs great on my rig, most of the time. Many places have a fire going (a firepit type thing). Most of the time the game runs great, but every once in a while, if I'm near one of these fireplaces, the game starts stuttering and has a really bad slowdown, like 1-5 FPS. At first I thought it might be a memory leak in the game, but it can even happen not too long after starting the game. So my question is: Does anyone know any .ini settings or tweaks to limit the complexity of the fire in these fireplaces? Thanks!
  20. There is definitely an issue with this. Another bug is that if you favorite then hotkey an item (let's say "Hunters Bow", favorited and bound to hotkey #2), then you switch to your sword, kill an NPC and loot another Hunter's Bow, your original Hunter's Bow is unbound from the hotkey you assigned it to.
  21. If you just want to be able to explore the world (look around), you can simply use the console command tfc (toggle flying camera) which releases the camera from its fixed position behind your character.
  22. Well, you could turn off the combat AI, so enemies ignore your character. I don't know of any console command to prevent quest conversations though. Press ~ (tilde) to open the console in-game. type: tcai Press ~ to exit console. Repeat to turn it back on. In this mode the player char CAN attack, but the NPC's will just stand there. If you tell your kids not to attack anything... :) (tcai is short for ToggleCombatAI)
