Hi all, I'm having issues with the eponymous "gray face" problem, specifically in regards to mods that edit the mage follower Brelyna. Every mod that visually edits her as an NPC unfailingly leads to the gray face, including mods I've downloaded off of Nexus. The solution of properly exporting the facegen tint & morph (via Actor>selection ctrl + F4 in the CK) does not fix the problem, and in fact appears to have been the original cause of it. At least, I first noticed it after trying to edit the character on my own through the CK: all I was doing was changing the HeadPart for hair, and after that I exported with ctrl+F4 as I had been instructed by numerous sources on the internet. It was then that I started getting the gray face. I've since managed to fix it by replacing the 0001C196.dds file with one that I generated -- which seems to work as a fix ONLY insofar as I have no mod that visually edits Brelyna as an NPC. As soon as I have something, such as the Immersive College of Winterhold mod, installed near the top of my load order, I unfailingly get the damned gray face. Even if I create a simple mod (like before) and ensure that I export the face gen. However, my diagnosis might not be totally correct, as it seems to be functioning OK with the Ethereal Elven Overhaul mod (which I'm not entirely sure whether it edits Brelyna as an NPC directly or not). But so long as that mod is lower on my load order than mods that edit the NPC it seems to be fine. That is, of course, after I replaced the gray face that was caused by using ctrl+F4 in the CK, at which point there was always the gray face no matter what. I've tested it, and if I go into the CK and use the export function with Brelyna selected it directly appears to cause the gray face issue, even though that's supposed to be the fix for it. Could anyone please help me figure out why this NPC is suddenly uneditable? Thanks

This isn't exactly my argument. But someone who is an Elder Scrolls fan could say they're angry that a story will be written for a game they have no interest in (in terms of game play), and will miss out on as a result. I could claim disappointment that they are "wasting" a TES story on an MMORPG, that could've been used for another, single player, game in the series.

Sure! I probably would have done that anyways, though I would have been worried about it. My threads seem to die out with only a few responses, so I figured the same would just happen again. What forum would be best to post it in?

I want your opinions on something. I just finished making a Skyrim video (a music video, very much like ). In my humble opinion, I think it turned out incredibly well, much better than I thought it would. I'm wondering where the best place to post it (or upload it) would be if I want to get people to see it. Places like this site, or other sites etc. Also if there's any specific users who I should send it to (people with an interest in positing videos like this). Like if the creators of ENB mods should/would even want to see it (considering the video showcases ENB). I love the Images section here on Nexus, but I don't see any videos section... at least not one that anybody visits. I know many people enjoy videos like the one I linked above, but I just don't know how to get people to see it; simply posting it to YouTube isn't exactly effective. I'm having a problem with the ENB shader mods where there are a bunch of moving fuzzy lines across my screen. The lines are only there while playing Skyrim with ENB installed, and they become more visible in where the screen is darker, which isn't good for a sneak character. These lines are really irritating me, I'm wondering if anyone's had the same problem and if anyone knows a fix. Also, I'm wondering what happened to the "Confident ENB Series" collection.

If you did that I'd be forever in your debt (okay, exaggeration)! The drawing idea sounds cool, but is in no way necessary to me. If you do in fact start working on something like this, please message me or post in this thread so I can at least know about it :thumbsup: Any other takers?!

I've got a challenge for someone who knows scripting! It won't be a huge intensive project, but just something you'll have to figure out. In all honesty I have no idea how difficult making this would be... Anyways! I'm looking for someone to make a personal journal or diary mod, like an in game book item that the player can write their own things in. I've been waiting impatiently and anxiously for someone to make a journal mod, often trying to mention it on the forums. So I just thought I'd put the idea right out there into the Mod Request section. I REALLY want a mod like this, but barely have the time to learn scripting myself, so I would forever be grateful to someone who could make this for me (and all the other RPers). In that Oblivion mod there was a bunch features, things like automatically inserting the date and time. While those features would be awesome (and ideal) they're not necessary I just want an in game book that I myself can actually write in.
