OK so I've come up with some rough characters. In order of appearance: 'Yo-yo' Bill Haycock - The first character that you meet, becomes the Courier's friend and mentor. He's a middle aged gambling veteran who has gotten rich and gone bust more times than he can count. He's currently somwhere between the two and is working his way back up the ladder by playing small time games in backwater towns. Prone to both incredible wins and catastrophic losses, hence the name. Been in the game his whole life, ever since his daddy introduced him to various gambling passtimes and scams on the streets of Reno. Owes a large amount of caps to Mr Benson, the founder of the Mojave Series. He's working off part of his debt by helping to set it all up. Proclivities for high stakes and fiesty women, implied past relationship with 'Poker' Annie. Rogueish, weak for his vices, probably not a good idea to lend him caps, but ultimately a decent man, will go out of his way to help folk and make friends. Jed - One of the Goodsprings players, no fancy back story, just a generic cowboy type character to fill a seat, doesn't even need dialogue. Rusty - Same as above really, more of a wastelander/prospector type 'Shanghai' Charlie - Friend of Bill, supposed to be playing in Goodsprings, killed by Powder Gangers so you never even see him alive, no need for dialogue. Eugene - Runs the games in Primm out of a backroom in the Vikki and Vance casino. Local bookmaker and loanshark. Pretty straightforward underworld type character, if it's not about caps, he ain't interested. Jack Hackett - Mean drunk who decided to steal a bunch of poker supplies from Eugene's den after a bad losing streak. Courier is sent to track him down and get the supplies to gain admission to the Primm game, whether by indimidation, bribery or just shooting the bastard. So drunk he can barely speak, just yells BOOZE! at you repeatedly. More to follow...
