  1. Thank you. I've already got 2 people who have sent me PMs about doing some voices. I won't give too much detail, because I don't know if they are ready to announce any of this stuff yet, but there is a very popular mod getting an update that adds some new quests and characters, and I'll be voicing a character for that, so I'm very excited.
  2. Edit: I'm currently swamped at the moment and have 4 active people who want me to do voices for them. A few of these roles have a ton of lines. Because of this, I'm not taking any more requests until I am finished with what's been given to me. I'll remove this edit when I'm available again. Having trouble finding voice actors? Or are you just tired of having the immersion of your mod broken by muffled microphones? Well folks, today I have some good news for you. I will now be making myself available to all modders free of charge. I come packed with an HD studio quality mic and a small background in some minor professional voice acting gigs. But wait, they say if you're good at something to never do it for free, so whats the catch? There is no catch here. I just want to start expanding and make a bit more of a name for myself and hopefully get into higher level professional voice acting some day. All I ask is to give me credit, maybe even link to my Youtube channel. It's not a requirement, but greatly appreciated. But enough of that. I've put together a voice acting reel so that you can hear for yourselves. I even put some little scenarios in there to maybe give modders some ideas. If you want me to do voices for a project, just shoot me a PM here on the Nexus. Details on the character, such as race and attitude are helpful. Also, remember that I'm not Mark Hamill. My vocal range does have it's limits and there are some voices I can't do. Don't be too shocked if I say I can't do a certain voice.
  3. This is a bit of an unordinary way to do this, but this mod has infringing music, so I can't exactly upload it here. That said though, I still wanted to be able to publicly share it, as well as the video I made to go with it. If anyone is interested in the mod, there's a Dropbox link in the description of the video. This is a little joke mod my friend gave me an idea for. It's inspired by The Walking Dead. What this mod does is add a radio that plays Easy Street on a loop at full blast. Perfect for torturing your prisoners settlers. The radio is under decoration>misc>misc in the workshop. And warning about playing it in your pip boy, the music is loud, because, again, it was designed to torture settlers. It's not ear rape, but it's loud enough that you might want to turn down volume a bit before playing it if you want to listen to it on your pip boy. This is probably one of the most complicated videos I have ever made.
  4. When I bought the Contraptions Workshop DLC, I had the hopes that the factories worked by simply having settlers assigned to them, and that you could have them create things like materials such adhesive or manufacture ammo. Kind of a disappointment how little use it actually has. Neat for people like me who enjoy building things, but it seems like a system that could have been more useful. So here's an idea for a mod: It adds a new "materials" builder. When hooked to a terminal, this builder allows you to take the rawest form of a material and a few caps, and use them to manufacture a larger junk item. For example, if I put 1 adhesive in and 20 caps, the machine would create a sealed bottle of Wonderglue worth 4 adhesive, effectively multiplying my adhesive for 20 caps a pop. The amount of caps needed for each material crafting option could be balanced around the value of the item created. Like the sealed Wonderglue costs 20 to manufacture because sealed Wonderglue has a value of 25. I think this would be a great way to make the DLC useful. Go out and explore, come home with your loot and have all of your materials ready for some robot building. Not to mention that it would give me a reason to actually spend the almost 30,000 caps that I'm never going to spend because of my endless supply of purified water that I use to trade for everything.
  5. One of the cool little additions to this game was the little arcade games you could play on your Pip-Boy. Unfortunately, if ever you want to play one of these games, you would have to scroll through the hundreds of holotapes you've collected to find the game you want. I wonder if it would be difficult to make a mod where you can put holotapes of your choice into a personal terminal at your settlement and leave them stored in the terminal. This could be a pretty nice little RP touch, allowing players to craft a little arcade for their settlers, or maybe after a day of building you might decide you want to sit down and have a quick go at Pipfall.
  6. So, while looking through Youtube comments, I saw someone state that they wanted Jarl Balgruuf as a companion in Fallout 4. As strange as that sounds, it did give me an idea for a big DLC sized mod that I thought would be really cool. I'm not good enough with creation kits where I could do this myself, but if I could build a team, we could create something like the Mothership Zeta DLC where you get captured by aliens. In Zeta there was a part where you open some cryo pods and release some people from different times and places, like one of them was an ancient samurai. There could be something similar with the mod where you get a big escape mission and you can break out these different characters in the pods and work with them to get out. At the end, all of the people you work with take control of the ship and become available travel companions. Possible companions could include: Jarl Balgruuf, the bizarre request that somehow made me come up with this idea.An Oblivion Guard.A unique alien different from the ones running the ship.A super intelligent deathclaw with a shredded up lab coat, glasses, and a delightful British accent. He could also serve as a major part of the quest by hacking parts of the ship and taking control of things, allowing the escapees to continue.Spy from TF2, because why not? He's a suave dude and would be fun to have around. He could be built for stealth characters. Plus, he's got some good voice lines. There's a mod that adds more unique weapons, and it includes a knife that does more damage from behind, so that would pair really well with this. Kind of where I got the idea for this companion. The list could go on, but these are a few ideas for characters. As for making the mod, I do have experience in sound design, writing, and voice acting on a professional level. I can take care of any writing and sound effects for the mod, but I'm not experienced enough with the creation kit to make the mod itself the kind of quality I'd like to see, so with that said, I'd love to hear from people if anyone is interested in working with me on this project. The things I'm going to need are: Modelers who can create assets such as new set pieces, clothing to fit the deathclaw, and the friendly alien in the same quality and style as the game.Scripters to make story events work.Builders who can design the ship and piece everything together in the creation kit. I imagine we could build something amazing here right on par with the original Fallout 3 DLC. I do fear though that this might be a little too ambitious, but it doesn't hurt to share. Who knows?
