Is it possible to alter the text at the beginning of the game? "Bethesda Game studios presents" "The Elder Scrolls V" "SKYRIM" sequence? I wanted to make a simple mod for a friend. If you know of a way please let me know! thanks

Player Can't Mount Horses - Driving me crazy!

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but for what it's worth. I fixed this issue. If you have RaceMenu installed, there is a tab toward the very end of the character creation menu called 'hand paint'. Sometimes, dependent on the race/preset etc, there is a texture that is applied there that discolours the hand, either remove it or set the alpha to 0% and your problem should be fixed.

FP Camera dropping to ground in combat
lcoopr replied to Kraechtshammer's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
you're using XP32 skeleton, as far as i'm aware it could be a problem with the camera being rigged to that skeleton during certain animations (attacking/combat related animations in this case) if there is no compatability. joy of perspective was buggy as hell for me, i'm not a fan of how the 3rd person animations look during combat either, I would recommend Enhanced Camera. Maybe try uninstalling joy of perspective and installing enhanced camera, see if that fixes the problem. Dance of Death is no longer supported, the mod author himself said that VioLens is a great alternative and is still supported by it's creator. From watching your video, it could be some incompatabilities between different mods there if it is trying to trigger kill move. Might also be FNIS. did you run generate fnis for users? If so, there is a optional patch in the generate fnis for users program called something along the lines of "skeleton arm fix". i'd make sure that is ticked- 3 replies

Skyrim is filled with bugs and glitches. But this one doesn't sound game-breaking. Just don't summon more than one if you prefer the challenge!

Player Can't Mount Horses - Driving me crazy!
lcoopr replied to lcoopr's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
So simple, that fixed it. Thanks for your help. And a bigger thanks for your mods! -
Thanks in advance for any advice. I've tried extensive things and searched around on a lot of forums, but no solution so far, so I thought it best to post here. Issue My character is not able to ride horses, when activating any horse (owned, stolen etc.) my character just stands there and freezes with no control for a few seconds. Then I am able to control again. the console command player.mountactor yields the same results. When I first ran a new game, I had convenient horses and immersive horses installed, mods that I don't believe conflict. Uninstalling both of them did not work (including fully stopping and removing scripts). Infact, when I uninstalled them and started a complete fresh new save, the issue still happened. I do NOT believe these mods are the culprit. I have several animation replacers, but no Player Exclusive Animation Path or anything. I use FNIS and Dual Sheath Redux also. Here is a video showing the problem: My load order. Everything plugin with a 0 is part of the Bashed Patch, 0. I'm really not sure where to go next with this, I've tried re-installing animations, I run Loot, WryeBash, the DualSheath skyproc patcher and then FNIS everytime I install any mod to be on the safe side. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

if you're still having the issue and you have climates of tamriel installed, try uninstalling it and installing it again. in CoT V's FOMOD installer it has options to choose darker nights, i'd leave it at default. ELFX has this option as well I think.
-
You should be able to do this in-game, bring up your ENB editor (Shift + Enter by default), there are options to increase/decrease gamma during night-time. Failing that mate it could be mods that you've installed. I know a few that affect weather and lighting have options to make nights darker, if you've chosen a few different lighting/weather mods then it's possible you have those two mod's effects stacking or conflicting.

Walking with Bow _forward "glitching-out" (i need help + with video)
lcoopr replied to pr0x1ma1's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
It looks like there are things left over from the Archery Gameplay Overhaul mod you'd installed. When you installed that mod, did you run FNIS for users and tick the patch for the archery gameplay overhaul? Failing that, it might be better to see if there are .hkx files left over in the data folder. Could be located in Data\meshes\actors\character\animations\female. You also have XP32's skeleton installed, if you forgot to run FNIS for users again after the uninstall then this might be the case. Without knowing your exact steps it is hard to pinpoint the error so it could be either a combination of these things. Try uninstalling all of your animation mods completely (not just disable, right click them and uninstall from all active profiles in NMM) and re-install in the order of XP32 first, HDT plugins, then your animation mods. assuming you're overwriting the mods when installing, the last one you install with have precedent over any other. -
Just a quick question, no need to place my load order as I think I know the solution to my issue. I'm using a variety of animation mods, FNIS of course. I don't believe convenient or immersive horses is the issue as I have uninstalled both to no avail and i'm sure they don't conflict/ I am experiencing a bug whereby whenever I try to ride my horse, my character freezes and just stands there, 5 seconds later it resets and i'm able to control again. The solution - after much googling - is apparently to specifically remove the mount and dismount animations included in mods I use. TL;DR - in the game directory, where are the female horse mount and dismount animations located? Khajiit is grateful

I tried this too, quite recently infact. DynDOLOD can be very tricky to install, make sure it is one of, if not the last thing you install. It's also important to make sure that you have the correct billboards (LOD textures) installed and that you run TES5LODGEN, this probably won't be the reason of your CTD though. Alternate start can be buggy with some things that make changes to dialogue, I'm not sure which specific entries but if you have Realistic dialogue overhaul, or guard dialogue overhaul that you change the meta info for those two .esp files to load after alternate start. I attempted the very guide that you are using and quite a lot of undesirable effects came. This doesn't mean that the guide is wrong, but it is big and it's a lot to take Honestly mate, I would seriously recommend you uninstall all mods, uninstall skyrim completely and install skyrim again so that it is completely vanilla and then follow the S.T.E.P guide: http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9.2#About_STEP I found the guide to be much more fleshed out and contains 'step by step' instructions, it's fool-proof IMO. :)
