  1. Outfitting my main settlement for a 'Trick or Treat/ Horror' theme, does anyone know of a mod that adds craftable chains to the workshop... as in lengths that appear to be holding back scary Commonwealth creatures? I've not been able to locate one anywhere, minus a 'butcher rack' mod that only provided a short vertical length.
  2. Thanks for the link, JimmyR. I was encountering the same issue.
  3. Thanks again for the responses, folks... and thanks for that thread link. I'm gonna dive deeper with that information to try and crack the issue.
  4. Thanks for the reply! Hells bells. I'm not surprised to find out I'm not the only one to encounter this problem. Whatever I did to the decals, they're not showing up on the van at all now, so I guess I could modify through trial and error the actual blue van texture itself. :ermm: I'd still prefer to have someone take a stab with an assist on the 'proper' route, however...
  5. Thanks for the reply! At your leisure, could you drop me an email at '*************.com'? -EDIT- Via email, I'd like to send you the .dds files, and a .png of the logo I'd like incorporated into them... *EDIT* Gonna try to suss this one out solo...
  6. So I've conquered texture modifications for FO4 for the most part, but dear god I can't seem to nail down a proper alpha channel overlay on two textures in particular. It's the bloody van logos for the pre-war Vault-Tec van (VaultTecVanLogo01_d.DDS and VaultTecVanLogo02_d.DDS) :wallbash: . I've given up trying to figure out where I'm going wrong, and I'm throwing in the towel. Well, throwing the towel at some nice person here, hopefully. Would anyone more capable than I be willing to donate a few minutes to a project of mine? I'm putting the finishing touches on a theme ("mod", I guess?), and one of the very last things I'd like to add is a fleet of parked, decoration-only delivery vans. If you have the time and empathy, please respond. I can only offer my eternal gratitude in exchange.
  7. Thanks again for the assist here. Knowing that there are folks who are willing to field these newb questions of mine will definitely lead to ...scads more questions! I'm thinking that I would still have a hell of a time connecting the dots to 'Fort Hagen' on that texture, even utilizing NifSkope. Certainly it would have driven me half-mad without bouncing the issue off the board here. The 'scope' of the challenges that lie ahead with ID'ing some of these assets seems formidable.
  8. Ah! So installing NifSkope purely as a tool to ID texture files might be worth my time...
  9. Thanks for the response. I'm coming from the graphic design world, and I'm new to tinkering with game assets... so I probably should have wrote "...a theme I'm working on". I really appreciate this info. I have had success with making changes to .DDS files so far, but have not attempted any .nif work. I suspected this was a vanilla asset, as that is what SOE traffics in from what I can glean. Wouldn't this mean that the map in question exists somewhere in .DDS form (hopefully)? I'm going to make another run in my BAE hunt later tonight, using the ID you provided.
  10. I am looking to extract and modify a poster for a mod I'm working on, and I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me locate it. The texture shows up in the SOE/DECORATION/POSTER category... it's labeled 'WORLD MAP' there. I have been searching for this texture using the BAE, to no avail. I've attached a screenie of the poster in question (in-game shot)... thanks for reading  http://i.imgur.com/ylELW1o.jpg
