  1. ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true DisableDriverMemoryManager=true DisablePreloadToVRAM=false EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false ReservedMemorySizeMb=512 VideoMemorySizeMb=2048 EnableCompression=false As far as I know, this is the correct setting for my hardware.
  2. Ok so, I've been trying to google this for the past couple of days but haven't found a solution so far. The symtoms seem similar to what people are describing as save file bloat, except my save file is under 5mb (fresh char) so it clearly has to be something else. I used to play skyrim quite a lot in the past and had it fairly heavily modded (mostly textures/graphics related stuff, and a few other things as well as ENB), and it would run smooth as silk (ok... 30fps average considering the ENB I was using is pretty smooth). I stopped playing though and uninstalled, but I recently decided to start again, so I went through a fresh install, and bought the DLCs as well, downloaded my NMM, skse, BOSS, a bunch of mods (similar to the ones I used to have and a few new ones). Here's where the trouble starts though, the game runs "ok", at roughly 25fps, BUT I occasionally get these random freezes where the screen gets stuck, sound keeps playing, and after a few seconds the game recovers and continues as normal. As I said, it doesn't seem to be save file bloat, and my PC hasn't changed at all hardware wise since I last played (i5 2500k, Sapphire hd 6950 2gb, 8gb ram, windows 7 64bit), and I didn't have this problem before, but now I do. I'll just be running somewhere outdoors, then bam, for no reason the game freezes. It has also happened a couple of times when quickly turning my character, so I'm assuming it has something to do with the game not loading textures fast enough or something. What I can't figure out is why it does this now but didn't before, and what I can do to eliminate the problem. Any ideas?
  3. Usually they need to be crafted, or they replace already existing weapons. Sometimes they are placed in chests. They never appear directly on your character though, you need to find them somewhere in the world depending what the creator intends.
  4. Well the UNP body is more petite than the CBBE, but I guess that's a matter of taste. The painting I did would be at 100% weight on the CBBE curvy body, so at 0% I guess it might be more reasonable for people that don't want their characters having big breasts. Also if I found someone to work with who knows how to make armor that works with bodyslide (or if Caliente ever releases a more detailed guide for how to do it), then people can use any body they like! I think you might like the CBBE slim body for example, so you would be able to use that with the armor. Anyway the difficult part is making the armor in the first place. Modifying it to fit other bodies is something that even I know how to do. Anyway, in the painting, the base model I used as a reference was nude with breast physics turned on, so I guess if I wanted to be more realistic with that breast size, I would design the armor with a "bra effect" in mind, where the armor would keep the breasts a bit more compact towards the body so they don't look so pronounced. Ideally, I still want the player to be able to tell what is underneath from the curves, rather than it being completely flat and based on real world functionality where having armor that curvy would probably interfere with movement. I sketched up something new last night in bed, so I'll paint that one up and upload it as well for people to see.
  5. Those look... really weird and cartoony for some reason. Anyway as for the boob plating, It's still a fantasy game, and I like boobs so HAH! Well I mean... I'm using a pretty fit looking female character and it's kind of annoying that I have to choose between fully protective armor that makes my character look like washboard, or armor that actually matches the body I chose but is about as protective as a bikini. Also I think the vanilla skyrim armor (steel particularly) looks kind of lame and low detail? Dunno. I still like the armor to look "sexy" but without all the structural weaknesses or something. Also I want an opportunity to see something I designed in a game!!
  6. Kendo is a 2handed style as far as I know... maybe fencing? Anyway this would be interesting I guess, although it seems like it would be gimping yourself to not take advantage of your offhand, unless you got some kind of bonus to damage for only using 1 onehanded sword. What would be the incentive against using a shield or spell in the offhand?
  7. Ok so I drew this up as an idea of what I mean. I basically took the skyrim robes and used them underneath my own take of a full plate armor. It's pretty form fitting so you still get to see the curves of the body, but none of those silly soft spots just asking to get impaled by some random bandit's sword. I don't know how much work would be needed to make something like this in 3d but it's a rough Idea I guess. If anyone is interested in giving it a shot I can paint up front back and side views for it. Any feedback is appreciated: http://th05.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2012/101/7/4/skyrim_concept_01_by_chaosbringer99-d4vu5gy.jpg I guess this would be steel plate armor... but let me know if you guys would like me to try out one of the other armors, or make a completely original one.
  8. EDIT: here's a rough drawing of what kind of look I mean: Greetings fellow Skyrim addicts. Here's the deal. I kind of dislike the designs of the vanilla armor for females. Actually that's a lie, there are some nice ones but I have some ideas for some new ones. Anyway, there are very many mods that change the current armor or add new armor (from other games or completely original), but they mostly focus on showing off more skin and being skimpy or revealing. Now I like the ladies as much as the next heterosexual male, but I find it kind of annoying that there are little to no new female armors that offer some sense of realism (in a "I kill dragons for a living" kind of way). What I mean is, protective armor that conforms to the curves of the female body, without leaving nice big targets for arrows and fire and what have you. I'm a digital illustrator myself. I have some ideas for some armor designs but I'm pretty clueless as far as 3d modeling goes, and even if I managed to get a 3d model ready, I wouldn't have the first clue about the process of getting it into the game. So basically I'm looking for someone who has that kind of knowledge to team up with me and help pump out a few new armors. I could offer concept art from all angles required and maybe do the texturing work, but what I need is someone to do the 3d and scripting side of things. The closest I've seen to what I'm interested in doing is the Eisen platte armor however the body is a bit too skinny for what I have in mind, not to mention it completely ignores the weight slider so I can't get the chest size I like *ahem*: I'm currently quite fond of the CBBE curvy body as far as female mods go in Skyrim, so that would probably be the base I'd want to use for these armors, although ideally I'd also like to get them to work with bodyslide as I think it's a really great tool for people that have different taste as far as bodies go. I'm thinking of starting with a new steel plate armor as a start and see from there. I'll try and get some quick sketches up and edit this post later to give you guys an idea of what I mean.
