what kind of mods are you both using? if the mod is meant change the appearance of something, normally a XNB file, it replaces a file in a specific location. If your downloading a mod like timespeed it will have a manifest. the readme or the page you downloaded it from will tell you where to put it. if your files are still zipped - you will need a program like winrar/7-zip in order to unpack it and use it. Editted due to a poor explanation XD

I would check the load order using LOOT

Hmm i feel like this mod exists, i would try a few inventory mods available. Ultimately ask a popular one about adding that feature but it may be up to you to make something on your own :D

Since no one has answered here i would try our reddit and mentiom its a cross post. Then post a link to the reddit here for others who may have simular issues

Also in the future. Close smapi and sdv using task master (ctrl+alt+delete) to be able to save an entire back up :)

When you mod xnb files rename the original something like house-original.xnb and you wont ne confused in the future ð

You need smapi for most mods. download smapi, add mods(after unzipping them, then run smapi (an option to the right.. Let me know if it helps. (also always make a back-upgame file)

You need to open your game through smapi inorder for it to work. When you open smapi there are two options. Smapi and stardew valley. Choose smapi :) let me know if this fixes your issue

It really depends on your pc, like do you have adequate storage space. Changing things to look cute replaces the original files. So it doesnt effect anything. If you have 5g of extra mods, but a good gaming pc/laptop it really wont change anything but load time. However current mods can conflict with eachother. Also modifing the load order (using somethinf like LOOT can help it run easier)

Hello everyone! *I reposted this with a better header, but I don't know how to delete the last thread sorry. I'm brand new to SDV and I have very sensitive eyes, the brightness is killing me. I've noticed when I toggle in and out of the game it automatically adjusts my screen brightness and I can't seem to find a resolution on any forums. I believe this could be a great mod to add in as just a .config file. maybe even have a slider on the setting menu it we get creative enough... If a modder is willing to put the work in you would have some serious gratitude and good karma for sure. However if you know how to change this or at least know the code I need to look for, please let me know and I can attempt it myself as this game and community is already taking my heart and I don't want this to be the reason I can't play. ***Thank you, sorry for grammar mistakes***
