It also looks identical to videogamemods browsing page and supposedly the search is identical to modsio, which I don't use so I don't know. "It's the big mods government makin' all the websites look like crap!" - Alex Jones probably.

We need a non-popup poll, on the website, on the forums, reddit and discord. One that's in your face and straight to the point so that people don't miss it. I believe the new results that actually have more than just the few who stuck around the beta would have very telling results. Obviously BUILT-IN. It's not hard to code a poll.

I went to hotjar just to see and my adblocker immediately didn't let me in the site and I laughed out loud.
-
Okay.. but.. It's been negative everywhere, besides possibly that hotjar as I cannot see it. So still not seeing were the "it's positive" is coming from.. Like I get this is your job but you gotta admit my man.

What are these supposed channels?

Sorry but this sentence is Misinformation, there has been hardly if any work put into this. It is a 1 week hackjob or at least heavily appears that way with absurd amounts of missing and broken features that worked perfectly fine before the new UI update which that had many months to fix in Open Beta. They actively had to put effort forth to manage to break the Sort by Newest function. There is plenty more than just that, but all within the same vein of "How did you f*#@ up something that simple?"

Not everybody uses it on the regular. Not everybody likes to be vocal on things, such as people with social anxiety may not say anything but of course still have opinions on something. The vocal majority is negative. I guarantee if a poll was done site-wide it would share the same beliefs as nearly all of us do that overall it was not a good move. Dragging lurkers out of the woodwork is really damn hard, there's clearly people interested in the conversation that you can see in the browsing list that don't make themselves known via words and a good portion of those lurkers have still been liking comments occasionally that bring up the bad portions of what's gone wrong with the website.

Well, I'll mention now before it is locked that I very much enjoyed bonding over a shared factual disgust of the work created by "professional UX devs" and mismanagement. You all now have a special place in my heart.

Defending brand image it is. It's been negative overall. The Reddit is on fire, this forum is on fire, the discord has had so many people over the past few days joining just to say that the redesign is bad. There is no mental gymnastics you can do to make it seem like it hasn't been negative overall. Overwhelmingly Negative, in red text, one might say. Say I don't believe you all you want but I can count and even from glancing there's far more negativity than positivity.

Sort by date published on any mod page, no extra steps needed. I see it too.

You "follow" the "majority". 40% are "mobile users". You "cater" to "all"? "Desktop users our focus" ^ Which one? Website was clearly made to cater to mobile users, You say you cater to all, then say you're catering to desktop, then make a website design that is blatantly a made for mobile first design, most of the nice things said about it are from people that decide to check out the design on mobile. Search mobile in the topic. It's very obviously a mobile first and foremost design and there is hypocrisy in your quoted statement regarding catering and focus, which are the same thing.
-
Nobody is. Sorry I mean, The 40% "majority" as stated previously on here. Don't ask how 40% is a majority because nobody f*#@ing knows. It's whatever inverted maths they use.

He's Project Lead, so I doubt it.

We're getting some decent answers from the Community managers on Discord so I wanted to relay that with you guys here because I don't know when/if they will. Community Managers state they have been reading everything; they will pass the complaints further on. Though they have been ignoring Reddit. Picky Responded to "We just want a "We hear you, we're looking into all the problems, reading the suggestions, looking through the webcode and making it less ugly." posted in a pin here, on the forums, reddit etc. and then for real progress to follow through, rather than for it to be to simply shut people up." With This - "If that hasn't been said explicitly let us reassure you it is happening. It may have been said by our Product or Design Leads on the forum but got buried. We try to pin the relevant comments on that thread but it's easier to find the reply box than read the pins!" The word "ugly" was used talking about the UI, don't get your hopes up but possibly maybe at least now something could change. REMINDER THAT SOME PEOPLE HAVE BAD/IMPAIRED EYESIGHT AND THE NEW UI IS ACTIVELY DETRIMENTAL. THE NEW LOOK MUST AT BARE MINIMUM BE BROUGHT CLOSER IN SPACING AND COLOUR SCHEME TO THE LAST VERSION OF THE UI WE HAD. IT IS NOT ONLY AN IT'S UGLY THING.

I always thought downloads was in general while unique was users with an account. Though I might be completely wrong.
-
The Canadians must be that "majority" 40% of phone users.

As cool as that would be, modders will not all suddenly flock to a new website especially with Nexus' backlog and own mod manager. Not to mention the data storage required for mod websites is immense it's pretty unfeasible from the ground up. Back when mod mod websites started there was a niche for it, a need for it. Now they're everywhere and already popular thus hard to start.
-
Removing very used features, this is like if they removed the ability to endorse or comment. If they keep going with the direction of removing functionality, eventually they'll release the next UI update and their slogan for the update will be, "Nexusmods, No More Mods Update!"
-
I went back through the Wayback Machine and gave the Nexus a look through for every year. All the others when you put everything side by side looks like real natural evolution. This new one is very different from the rest, the rest are essentially the same thing with slight variation. They were all perfectly usable, visible, stylish and functional. I will take any other version that the new one, they all at least show more content on screen, literally every single one, I counted.

Stand on this hill and die a gamer.

Pointless? Yes. However, if we stop that'll boost their ego's and I cannot have that. Especially Iluviel's.

It doesn't look like hypocrisy, it IS hypocrisy. If my job was support and I told someone "yeah you can give us some feedback" and then after their feedback I replied with "shut up, I'm not looking for your "professional" feedback!" I would be fired and rightfully so.
