  1. Hello everyone. I'm sorry if the title is ambiguous or if these questions have been asked and replied to in the past and I hope this is the appropriate section to post such a question. Let me first of all explain why I'm here: I installed the Climates Of Tamriel - Weather - Lighting - Audio mod, as well as the Optional Files save Winter Edition. Now, I'm not sure that the way I installed these is correct. I used NMM and when prompted whether to replace the files, I hit no. My question was initially about this particular mod, but I might as well ask if there is consensus related to this matter. So, when installing a patch for a mod, should we replace the files and hit the "Yes to All" option or should we install it per se? I attached two images representing the NMM mods tab and the load order of the mods, respectively. Hopefully they are both relevant for my case. Furthermore, it seems that BOSS doesn't recognize the CoT-Sound-DG-patch. In the BOSS log Unrecognized plugins section it says that The following plugins were not found in the masterlist, and must be positioned manually, using your favourite mod manager or by using BOSS's user rules functionality. You can submit unrecognised plugins for addition to the masterlist directly from this log by clicking on a plugin and supplying a link and/or description of its contents in the panel that is displayed. I went on to submit the plugin info (as you can see in the third attachment) but it says that there is a matching submission. What course of action do you recommend?
  2. Thanks for the advice. Back in the day I went with some basic mods that enhanced the UI, the maps and other "utility" mods, if you could call them so; even though y PC isn't that great, I could play with some 15-20 mods back then. Dragonborn and Dawnguard are the mods that intrigue me, while Hearthfire looks like... well... I wouldn't call it unnecessary but I think I can live without it. Just to get an idea... how many mods can you run without crashing the game? This mod looks really good. I think I'll give it a try. :)
  3. Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum so I hope I posted in the right section. If not, then I'd like to ask one of the moderators to move the thread to the appropriate section. I'm also unaware whether there are similar posts out here, so I apologize for any inconvenience I might have created. Here's what bugs me. I played Skyrim when it was first released. I modded it, and after some time I stopped playing the game. Now I became a little nostalgic about the TES series, and I thought I should give Skyrim another go. The problem is that in the meantime, Bethesda released a few official DLCs. They look quite interesting, but I'd also like to add some mods. I browsed for a list of recommended (sort of 'must have') mods, and I found a good review over here: http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/2012/05/24/the-perfect-skyrim/1. I used some of them back in the day I played the game, but I'm curious if you can help me understand what would be a good policy: installing the mods first and then the official DLC, or the other way around? I know for a fact that some mods might not be compatible (yet) with the official DLCs, so I'd like to ask you how did you do it? Do you recommend leaving some mods aside in favor of the DLC, or installing mods and forgetting about the official add-ons?
