Oh wow, I seriously can't thank you enough! I didn't expect such a helpful reply at all! I'm busy during the day today, but this evening I will sit down and try to do what you've suggested. I'll let you know if I run in to any issues, but I'm sure I wont as it seems absolutely simple enough. Once again, thank you so, so much.

Hi there, Alright - what I'm attempting to do is simply switch the Legionnaire Scout specialisation (Rogue) with the Guardian specialisation (Warrior). Just to be absolutely clear, I mean to make it so that a Warrior can choose Legionnaire Scout, and a Rogue can choose Guardian. With everything that comes with them (bonus attributes, spells, etc). I am hoping this will just be a matter of swapping a couple of strings around in the 2da.erf. The thing is, I haven't done this sort of thing in a long, long time, so I'm a little lost. Any help would be hugely appreciated! I have extracted (and I'm looking at) the relevant specialisation GDAs (extracted from 2da.erf) using first erfeditor, then GDApp. I believe guitypes_gxa.gda is the one I want to actually edit. But.. what now? since I'm only wanting to swap the specialisations, I'm pretty sure this will only be a matter of swapping the strings.. but, which strings? All of them? ID? StringId? I hope I'm not asking for too much here, I've tried reading tutorials but it just hasn't really helped enough. Once again any help would be amazing. Thanks for reading! edit: I am trying to mod this, but if anybody knows of a pre-existing mod, or a much simpler method of achieving the same thing, that would be great to hear about instead!

Hi there! Alright - basically, I used to mod a fair amount, but it was absolutely years ago when DA:O first came out. I honestly can't remember a darn thing, I had to google how to install the most basic mods when I re-installed the game a couple of weeks ago. It's embarassing, but my memory for these things is just bad. Some of it is coming back to me as I go along, but I do have a question... I have some downloaded elf face presets that are much nicer than the original presets. I also have some amazing skin textures I have downloaded. - How do I go about putting one of the downloaded skin textures on to one of the downloaded presets (preferably so that it shows up in character generation)? I'm sure this isn't difficult to do, in fact I'm pretty sure I've done it before, but honestly I haven't a clue where to start now. If someone could perhaps just point me in the right direction so I can get a grasp of what I'm doing again, it would be so, so appreciated. Thanks for your time!

How do I change origin/class icons?
Uncumber replied to Uncumber's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Aahh I'm really sorry! You know that's honestly the first bump I've ever done in my life, it will be the only one! I suppose I was just really surprised nobody knew. I guess I'll have to try and poke around some more and try harder to find something or rather. Once again, real apologies. I'll let this thread die - thank you for letting me know! -
How do I change origin/class icons?

bump.. > . < I hate bumping but I can't find an answer anywhere, I've tried to google the question a hundred times with no luck. Surely somebody might have some idea? -
How do I resize Morrigan's Armor to fit an elf?
Uncumber replied to Uncumber's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Aaah, thanks Quorwyf! I'll think I'll be using Winter's Forge then, the description thing is kind of annoying - but it's hardly worth doing a whole mod over as you hardly ever see it in-game anyway. Thanks so much for the info =) -
Apologies for lots of posts! I'm trying to do a bit of modding and don't know how to do a bit.. My question is; How would I go about changing or swapping class, race or origin icons? For example, if I wanted to exchange the purple Mage class icon, for the hooded brown Rogue one. Or if I wanted to swap the bard icon for the assassin one, for example. Just to clarify, I mean the icons you see when you open up the character screen with your stats on it in-game. Not spell or talent icons. Just the icons representing the races/origins/classes/specializations. . I can't imagine it's too hard to do, but I've been looking around for quite a while and can't find how to do it. Any help would be really appreciated! ^^

Are there any body tattoo mods?
Uncumber replied to Uncumber's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
argh, thank you so much for the reply - but I should have said, I'm looking for ones for female bodies =( edit: female elf bodies ^^ -
Again question is pretty much in the title! I've been googling for aaages now, and I've seen a *few* (two or three maybe) pictures of body tattoos in Dragon Age Origins, so I'm assuming some mods *do* exist, but for the life of me I can't find one mod which adds them! I read on a forum that there's a mod which alters the Natural Bodies mod, to allow full body tattoos - but again I can't find it at all.. Are there any body tattoo mods out there.. anywhere?

How do I resize Morrigan's Armor to fit an elf?
Uncumber replied to Uncumber's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Discussion
Ah thank you for the information there Risibisi! I sadly don't have a 3d modelling program - I was hoping it was possible to resize in the toolset. That's helpful to know about Winter's Forge too, but that doesn't help me with changing the item's name or description does it? =( SO perhaps changing tevor117's work would be the way to go, as I've got no intention of releasing the mod to the public whatsoever. However.. I'm at a bit of a loss here with the toolset. I have extracted the item's .uti, but opening it in the toolset takes me to this screen: http://imageupper.com/s02/1/2/P13926601311967230_1.jpg (I hope that image worked) The only things I want to change is the name, the description, and the stats.. it looks like the name and the stats are appearing as 'TBD', I don't understand what that means, as those obviously aren't the name/description in game.. is there something special I am supposed to do to change the name/description? or do I simply write over the 'TBD'? Also the stats, under PropertiesList, are a list of numbers (i.e. 1006) - is there a table where I can see what property corresponds to what number? Lastly, tevor117's mod seems to add the item to your inventory *whenever* you load a game, this can get a little tedious as you end up with a large stack of the item in your inventory - I was going to copy over a different script referring to this item, that will just add the item to my inventory once. Doing this wont muck up anything, will it? As always any help would be most appreciated ^^ -
Hullo there! Question is pretty much in the title.. I realize there's already a 'Morrigan's Robes for Elves' mod out there (http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/441/?) which does do the job amazingly well, kudos to tevor117 ^^ ---- HOWEVER I don't really like the name of his modded robes, or their description in the game (the name doesn't seem very 'elfish.') Also, however good the stats are, I'd quite like to tweak them to my own liking. I know how to access a .dazip file in the toolset, but I don't really know how to edit what I want from there - Also I'm not keen on changing somebody's hard work considering I'm more than happy to do the whole thing myself if I know how to... So my question is - how do I go about resizing Morrigan's Robes to fit an elf character? I know how to add an item to my inventory in game.. so I think *literally* the only thing I don't know how to do is the actual resizing. Any help whatsoever would be hugely, hugely appreciated, I've been trying to google this for an hour plus now and haven't gotten anywhere. But I love Morrigans Robes, I really want to try and get this to work ^^

Argh, mod problems - wouldn't mind uninstalling them all now.
Uncumber replied to Uncumber's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
argh didn't mean to write this reply to myself.. I clicked quote on my main post instead of edit so did a stupid double post, apologies for this. -
Hey there everyone, hmmm, where to start! Alright, I had arrroound 125-150 mods installed using mod organizer.. I've been playing Skyrim a lot over the past few months and it's actually been running smoothly, I've just got up to level 50, the highest I've ever had a character, without too many CTDs, I've had a few, but it hasn't been bad. Now, I don't know why, but the last couple of weeks I have seemed to be having more and more crashes.. I've unticked mods off MO in the hope it will make things better, but they seemed to just get more frequent. The last couple of days I've been spending literally hours trying to get myself out of sticky repeated-CTD spots. The last straw was earlier today when I really thought I'd fixed my game by narrowing my mods down to around 30-50, my FPS was loads better, but then I found I'd got a dark/shadowy 'circle/ring' around my character that constantly follows me around. I've been trying to fix that problem for the past few hours and haven't found any solution - apart from removing all my shadows, which I'm simply not going to do, as I've already slaughtered the appearance of my game from removing all these 100-or-so pretty mods >.< However! I'm having a load of fun playing the game, my issue is that I caaaan't simply re-install and lose this level 50, SO much time and work has gone in to this character! But I am prepared to play with virtually no mods now.. I just can't be bothered to have this hassle again  My main problem now is - even on MO with the vanilla-no-mods ticked profile, the game CTD's before I even get to the main menu. (it CTD's straight after the 'Bethesda' logo) I have no idea why that would be, there's hardly anything in my real skyrim data folder - there's SBW, ASIS and an ENB, that's literally it. - So.. what on earth can I do to keep my character? --- In summary - Game is playable now with mods, but having frequent crashes. I have improved my FPS a lot by removing A LOT of mods, I may (im not sure) have fixed the CTDs, but now I've got this seemingly un-fixable dark shadow following my character around. - I'm Happy to remove mods, but the game doesn't want to start without them. - I could re-install, but I really just can't face the prospect of losing this character as it's taken literally months to level up. -also, my PC is very, very capable of running Skyrim on best graphics, it's a brand new expensive PC. Well over any system requirement problems. I'm 150% sure it's not an issue with my PC/Graphics Card etc. -SO I guess my real question is : can I either re-install the game or remove all my mods, whilst still keeping the same save/character? edit: I just reticked all the mods I unticked before this shadow problem, and the shadow is still there, aaargh I don't understand! --- I will happily post screenshots of my MO, Skyrim, or data directory(s) if needed. Literally anything to try and sort this out.. I really just want to get back to playing Skyrim. I'll also really happily provide any more specific information, obviously I've taken quite a few steps doing lots of things, I just didn't want to write them aaall out here in the first post in case they were unnecessary. Any help would be so, so appreciated - thank you very much for reading. Uncumber.

edit: didn't realize the title was too long >.< It was Is there a mod which allows you to keep 2-handed weapons on your back whilst you cast spells/use a torch? Pretty self explanatory title, but I've been looking for something like this all night and haven't got anywhere.. Basically - my character is a mage, I virtually never use a weapon, just spells all the way. I usually carry around a quarterstaff ('cus that's how I imagine mages) - and it looks ace when my character is running around in robes and a cool staff on my back - but it's SO annoying when it disappears from my back whenever I equip any spells (or a torch, or anything) in my hands. Surely there's a mod which will allow me to cast spells and still see a staff (or two-handed-sword, or whatever) on my back? --- if there's really no such mod, is it possible to relatively easily add a permanent quarterstaff to my back, using the CK, that doesn't necessarily do anything, just sits on my back looking magey? --- Hope this has been understandable, it's sort of hard to explain what I mean! But thanks for reading - any info would be appreciated ^^
