  1. it was alright. clips of people would have shown more character if they were animated with voice samples. Longfellow walking around grumbling to himself and such. One of the clips caught the atmosphere literally as well as figuratively. Some good stuff there. If I were to attempt such a video I would go with a more rockin music and some wiseass comments but that's just me

I definitely want to do more videos like this but I appreciate the feedback! I completely agree with you. I think the next one will be more animated than this one. This was my first video in this style so I really appreciate everything!

  2. If you're having trouble logging into the NMM or it's not working properly just remove it completely from your computer. Then download it again from the Nexus site. I was having trouble logging in because it wouldn't recognize my password. Now I can successfully login. This should also fix trace log errors. If it doesn't, switch to another admin account on your computer and start up the NMM. It should work from there. Keep in mind if you do that then your recent saves will not be there, however, your main saves should be there if your synced with the steam cloud generally assuming you have steam :)

(Edit) For some reason this only works until you restart your computer. It wouldn't let me log in again after I restarted it because Skyrim was having issues. But still it was worth the one time it worked :/

  3. make sure you download fnis_3.1 first, install it

download fnis_3.2 next install but do not upgrade, yet do over writes

next go to your fnis_3.1 exe file, -- set to execute as admin -

    worked for me :)

    G/L

ps - fnis 3.1 can be found on the fnis 3.2 page under downloads link

    Thanks I'll try this.

  4. I give up on this mod. I've been using this since before that stupid Generatefnisforusers app came out with the new update. I can't get anything to work. I install fnis manually through the NMM then I go into the files for fnis and double click GenerateFnisforusers and I get an error saying path not found. I have no idea how to fix this. I read the description and nothing works. Every time I run Skyrim everyone is stuck in the "T" pose so I have to uninstall it. If I'm doing something wrong or if anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. I don;t really know how to install this without using the NMM.
  5. This is strange. Ever since I had the battle of Solitude done which was a long while ago the battle music keeps playing over and over again. I even downloaded a mod that would change the music but the music was still stuck on the modders version of the battle music. I tried going into different areas and entering buildings but that still didn't help. I don't know how to fix this at all because I've never seen or dealt with this before. I muted the music so now I just hear everything else. I would really like to hear Skyrim's great music again somehow without the battle music looping over and over again. If anyone could help me on this it would be appreciated!
  6. I've been trying to get fores new idles to work and nothing has been working. I installed FNIS through the NMM by downloading it with the manager then installing it. After that I ran GenerateFNISForUsers and clicked update fnis behavior. Then I started up Skyrim but my character is stuck in the T pose with her arms and legs out along with everyone else. Nothing seems to work and I have no idea what else to do. I know many people are having different issues with this mod but I was wondering if anyone had any info on how to fix this. If I'm doing something wrong please let me know.
  7. I have the exact same thing! But my warzones are working fine. Try fast traveling out of the battle of whiterun then going back to windhelm because the quest completes itself. If you have the female followers mod then disable it. I think that was causing the problem for me.
  8. Thanks for the notice. I did not realize nvidia had released new drivers. Anyone considering updating might want to read this: http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=1174372&mpage=1 I had a very difficult time getting a complete uninstall. There is at least one restart needed before you are able to uninstall everything, and windows would update the nVidia software automatically during this restart, before I had finished removing everything. Very obnoxious. There may be some way to prevent this. I had to install the new drivers on top of what windows decided to update automatically, but before the required restart for what it had done. I seem to have ended up with what I wanted though.

It took me about an hour just to update everything i needed and for the driver to install. Then I had to restart my computer a couple of times, but I guess I can't complain :)

  9. If you have been recently experiencing lag and fps drops you need to check for an update for your graphics driver. About two days ago an update was released that fixed all of my lag and fps drops. I'm now playing on high quality settings with 30-60 fps. Before I could only play on low quality with 15-30 fps and lag. I have an nvidia geforce gtx 260 which is the minimal requirement for Skyrim.
  10. The only bug I've had so far is that one of the people that tells you about the dawnguard getting ready to hunt vampires was just a red transparent triangle with a normal head. It was like looking at the render window on the creation center. Other than that I've had no other bugs and everything has been just fine..."knock on wood".
  11. Also if you install steam on another computer it will install all of the games you previously downloaded on another computer. You just have to sign into your steam account once you have downloaded it onto your new computer.
  12. Well my only suggestion is to manually erase all the files in your Skyrim folder through the steamapps folder (Highlighting everything and sending them to the recycle bin). Then re install the game on a different user account on your computer. Make sure that account is an admin. Also after erasing all the files go to your recycle bin and permanently delete all the files. This method usually works for me if any type of game or application messes up.
  13. Disable your mods if you have any. That's the only thing I can think of that would be causing cave crashing. Also try backing up your save game files or reload an old save.
  14. This is happening to a lot of people apparently and hopefully there will be an update for this issue. I'll try these console commands and see if they help my framerate issues as well.

Any idea what happened? Did they patch the game or something?

I'm having huge framerate drops. I used to be able to play high settings flawlessly until I started getting these random framerate drops which is causing massive lag. I had to switch to low quality for Skyrim to be playable. It could be the most recent patch that's causing this but hopefully they'll release another one before Dawnguard comes out on PC that fixes these mod and framerate issues people are having.

When did they patch it? I hope it fixes it as well. I ran flawlessly with all the mods I have on now. Then out of the blue, random framerate drops. >:(

They patched it a long while ago like last Spring or something.

  15. Well , cut off graphics details , maybe it runs ok !

It is a HEAVY game in tems of hardware requirements....

    Try Skyrim , its good ! I like Oblivion 100% better !!

But Skyrim is worth its price !!

I have Skyrim and I've put over 100+ hours into it which I'm not really proud of :)

  16. I've been having framerate and lag issues with Skyrim so I'm deciding whether or not I should go back to oblivion for awhile and bring back some good times I had. I'm just tired of Skyrim being so buggy lately and I'd rather play a similar game that hopefully doesn't have as many issues. I've never played the PC version of Oblivion so hopefully everything will run smoothly.
