  1. You are correct sir! I tried that myself today and was sad to discover it as well. I hope someone will render it to fit SE.
  2. I also has a similar issue, only not in falkreath itself but in the reath. When I'm heading up on the road from falkreath to the crossroads with whiterun, it crashes in the middle of it. I'll post if there's anything new.
  3. Hi SCTYA and thank you for letting us know! So let me get this straight; That's your PC, you have all these mods installed, and the issues is as follows: You go to the rift, and whenever you travel between Ivarstead (the place from which you travel to the throat of the world, right?) and Angarvunde (that tomb after you go down from the twin towers near the waterfall?) the game seems to crash to desktop randomly. Usually, CTD is caused by low RAM, but in your case I don't think that applies (12 RAM?) so let's try a different approach. Just for the deduction, try to set all your mods off, and go there again. Just walk right there. If it doesn't crash, then there you go: a problematic mod. Also, just because I'm curious, try shutting down in particular the Open Cities mod; I myself had a lot of issues with it, so I get a feeling this might help. And last but not least, did you consider that maybe there are some dirty coding in your mods? cleaning them up would maybe solve this. 1. Save Game Script Cleaner - download from the page and follow instruction. Pretty easy. 2. Furthermore, try using LOOT and SSEEdit. You need to see if there are any ITMs (Identical To Master) files in your mods. In order to clean them, download first LOOT and then SSEEdit. You can find a guide right here on how to use SSEEdit. Hope this helps. Keep us posted on any advances or changes.
  4. Well keep us posted. I'm glad to hear that at least it solved some of the issues. I too have confusing issues with random FPS drops. But in my case it's never in certain spots; It's always in random non-consistent places (sometimes through the woods, sometimes in snow, and if you go the same place twice the second time would be fine). So... it's a work in progress.
  5. You know, just suggestin' - maybe it's a driver's issue. What's your driver's version? maybe you should update? Mine is 16.9.2
  6. Hi mattiscool816! It seems that the problem has somewhat to do with the save file or the mods, Can you maybe try to clean your saves and your mods? in case you're not sure how: 1. If the courier still not giving you the letter, you can try one last thing: after cleaning everything, try cleaning an older save file (before you meet this courier, and before you do anything that gives the courier a reason to deliver you the letter) and then try to play from there. Hopefully it would work. Doc out.
  7. Not bad at all! GLORIOUS PC MASTER RACE ... and back to business. Yeah OK that is better than even what I have. In the meanwhile I tried going to both Riftrn (and the rift) and Markarth (and the reach). It seems that to me both places run smooth. So my bet is V-sync. Because it's NVidia I'll do my best to help (since it's not what I use). Try using the guide, and I hope that will sort it out for you. If it still low in those places, I'm long-shooting right now - try to disable mods that has something to do with cities (such as open cities though I don't think you have that one, and populated places etc.) My guess is that it won't do a nudge, but I must deduce.
  8. Hi Shaundi7, thank you for sharing! Also, thank you for giving ahead the mod list you use. Furthermore I'll have to see your PC specs (especially CPU, RAM and GPU). In case you're not sure how to do that (I'm certain you know, but I'm just making sure myself) Win+R (windows key, the button with windows logo on it) and then type in DXDIAG and run. At the window, choose to export a save as a file, and post here what's in there. Now I get ya - you say you don't wanna lower the settings (me too- if it works one way, it will work the other) so let's see what we can do. It seems that some of the FPS drops in the game are caused by the V-Sync\Vertical Refresh. There are two ways about to solve it. If you own a NVidia GPU, try this guide. If you own an AMD GPU, try my guide. If still no changes appear, keep us posted and we'll see what we can do. I can tell you that I tried myself today to enter the wander around the Rift and it was fine to me (55-65 FPS). I'll try going to the Reach (and also enter both cities: Markarth and Riften) and update you about any changes myself.
  9. Okay that is one good thing to know! (about the rift thingy) I'll also try go there myself and update as well. You see I just started a new character (Argonian, first time OMG) and I haven't left Whiterun yet (I'm a noob, lvl 7 T_T ) So I'll see if I have the same FPS drop. EDIT: I tried going there myself, until my game crashed (but that's a problem for another time). Most of the time the FPS lasted between 55-65, with occasional short fall to 45. Luckily for me I even had the chance to fight a thief and a few wolves without dying, and the battles went fine. It was about 54-56 FPS, so there's the Rift for you. Also just now saw someone posting about having bad FPS too at the Rift and the Reach so I'll see to that as well. EDIT 2: Also forgot to mention, if I save a place and then reload the save... the game runs smooth and okay (tried it in the rift). Hope this helps man\woman\whatever you define yourself!
  10. Well that is what I call progress. It seems, like you say, the drop occurs only outside (Skyrim, Solstheim) but runs smooth in closed places and large cells (for example: big halls, Apocrypha, Soul Cairn etc.). You also said that you tweaked like you saw on the guides, and the performance still remains with low FPS. I know this is gonna sound really weird, but I have a suggestion: Try to shut-off all your Nvidia's settings, and turn to maximum all the ones in your game settings. In case it still remains with low FPS, try to do the opposite (try turning off all the settings of the game and on with all NVidia's ones), Keep us posted anyway so we would be aware of what happens next.
  11. Happy to oblige! :) And too I hope this helps anyone else who encounter this.
  12. Also I know it sounds irrelevent but I try to help the best I can. What windows bit version are you running? I assume 64bit (because you mentions you have 16 RAM right?) If other games work, and the FPS difference is minor from old skyrim and SE... I tend to assume that skyrim is the issue (and luckily, not hardware- which means there can be a solution that doesn't cost money). And you mentioned that you tried to tweak a little around the V-Sync\Virtual Refresh like I did (opening skyrimprefs.ini, changing the value from 1 to 0 and saved, and turned on and off the AMD Radeon Settings). Hmm. I know I'm asking all this annoying questions but it makes my job much easier. Per chance the FPS limiter is set to low FPS by mistake? Maybe try to reset the game's settings (both in-game and in AMD's?) And last but not least, let me quote my fav show... "Did you try to turn it off and on again?" Maybe restarting your rig might solve something that interrupts Steam or the game itself. Hope this works. Otherwise I hope some other wise user would drop a useful advice.
  13. I concur with my skyrim-colleague here, Gobby13. Also something worth checking: if your mods were installed while an ongoing save, and not a very clean one. We're waiting for you to post.
  14. That's a very good progress :) So ENB as at fault. Maybe you can try and tweak-a-bit with the ENB's settings. I don't use it anymore (I'm one of those weirdos that enjoy the vanilla SE graphics) but I remember that there was an effects list and a lot of other options that you can play around with. Maybe one of them really clashes with whatever the issue with the hand is.
  15. I'm sorry to hear! :( Can you please export your mods list? In case you're not sure how: open the NMM, go to plugins tab, and on the left side of the window you'll see a symbol of a sheet of paper with arrow coming out of it. What I got from your PC hard is as follows (?): CPU: AMD FX6300 CPU 3.5 Ghz RAM: 16 GPU: Sapphire Nitro 380 4gb Also a few general questions (so I can deduce better): 1. Is there any other program (except for steam, CCC\AMD Radeon Settings) that works in the background? 2. Have you tried playing the older version of skyrim with the same mods? Did you try to play other high-graphical games? 3. Have you tried to disable all the mods, and maybe try a new save\new game? 4. Last but not least, did you try to clean your mods via SSEEdit, LOOT & Save game script cleaner? It has nothing to do with FPS drop, but at this case, it might. If there're still issues, keep posting.
  16. First of all thank you for thinking ahead and giving all the information needed. Now you mentioned that it occures only outdoors looking at the distance etc. So My question is: Does it also happen indoors? Or if you're inside it runs smoothly? Also I see you have GTX 1080 (GLORIOUS PC MASTER RACE!) so maybe this solution might help? I hope it does. In case it still doesn't, just try see which V-Sync\Vertical Refresh Rate does you harm: The game's or your GPU driver.
  17. Weird. I have a few suggestions myself: 1. Install LOOT as it is shown on the webpage. Then start it and let it run. See if there are any errors called "ITM" (Identical To Master). In case there are, there might be some dirty codes. 2. In order to clean, use SSEEdit ; Install it as it says on the webpage. In case you're not sure, here's a guide for how to use it. 3. After you cleaned it, go back to LOOT and make sure the loading order is in correct. Launch the game. If it still happens, I have another idea that just might work. 1. Download the Save Game Script Cleaner (No worries, it will work on SE as well) and unpack it. 2. Try using it as it says on the webpage. It should clean any errors on your coding. In case both of these suggestions turned out empty, maybe you should try to re-install the game. Also, does the hands still remain blurry without ENB?
  18. And I being like "yay weather of tamriel" and then I look at your list and pee myself. Any who, in order to help I'll also need your PC's specs (especially on GPU). In case you're not sure how to find out: 1. Press Win+R (that little windows logo on your keyboard?) in the window that opened, type in DXDIAG 2. The diagnosis will take place. Save everything on a file (there's suppose to be an option) and copy the system and display sections. After that it will be easy to verify whether it's a RAM issue or maybe GPU. Usually crashing to desktop is due to low RAM. Skyrim (especially Special Edition) relies heavily on graphics, and it costs your rig's most vital parts dearly. I remember that I had 4 RAM and Skyrim used to crash a lot, and without warning. Only after I upgraded to 16 (what a glorious day) the game ran smooth for hours without much issues or efforts. Anyways, with your rig's information we'll be able to verify the exact problem.
  19. I know it's a long-shot (sta-ka-dom-dish) but maybe try this: Try to use only one of the depth field options. 1. Go to the gameplay menu, then display (i think, if I recall correctly), then set depth of field to lowest (drag it all the way to the left). 2. Open the ENB menu (in case you're not sure, SHIFT+ENTER) then open effects tab, find depth of field and make sure it's turned on. In case that doesn't work, try the other-way-around; do the same thing, just turn off the ENB one and turn on the game's one. I had graphical issues in regular skyrim with ENB when both the game's inside options and the ENB's crossed. Hope that helps!
  20. So hi there, Here are my rig's specs: ------------------ System Information ------------------ System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Processor: Intel® Core i7-4930K CPU @ 3.40GHz (12 CPUs), ~3.7GHz Memory: 32768MB RAM Available OS Memory: 32688MB RAM Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series Manufacturer: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Display Memory: 20417 MB Dedicated Memory: 4073 MB Shared Memory: 16343 MB Current Mode: 1680 x 1050 (32 bit) (60Hz) --------------- (My card is R9 290X 4GB the regular one that came out in 2013, not the sapphire one) So my problem was that even when I played on high settings (which the game advised via the "reset" option) it had this weird known issue: indoors (dungeons, houses, ruins etc.) the game ran smoothly even on ultra settings. But when the Dragonborn comes out... the FPS drops low. Low as in 30 fps (from 60 silky-smooth fps). I watched at least 3 videos about how to solve the problem on NVidia rigs, but no hope for us red-AMD weirdos. So I decided to tweak a-bit and play around the game's and driver (AMD Radeon settings AKA the new catalyst control center AKA Crimson 16.9.2). After a while, I discovered a magic solution that worked. I walked right on Dormammu and said "I've came to bargain!" Nah JK. So here's my solution: 1. go to: My Files\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SkyrimPrefs.ini 2. Ctrl+S and search for iVSyncPresentInterval 3. Change the value to 0 (it was =1 so change it to =0) and of course SAVE!!!!! 4. Now open you blood-red AMD Radeon Settings. Go to Gaming, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. 5. In "Wait for Vertical Refresh", change it to "Always on". 6. Now feel free to play the game without it stuttering to low FPS! In my case it reaches about 100-200 FPS and never drops, yay me. Even on ultra BTW. 7. For those who're afraid from high FPS (in the regular edition, FPS higher than 60 made indoor items fly around and get whacky) you can turn "Frame Rate Target Control" on, and choose about 60-70 FPS (depends on your functioning in game). Hope this helps anyone, and tip from the doctor? Don't kill Paarthurnax he's awesome. Doc out.
  21. OK it actually worked! Thank you so much! I'll post it on my youtube video! You're a genius.
  22. Brilliant! is there anyway possible to move the mesh back to it's place? Maybe the Creation Tool?
  23. So greetings and hello :) I recently reset my PC including my steam directories, and in the process- Skyrim with its mods. Of course I only back-upped the mods that I did want. Anyway, only of recently I discovered a weird texture outside of Markarth, next to the stables. "Floating" grey texture that is not in place and really ugly. I did install before I reset my PC open cities and I think it's the culprit. I hope anyone else could shed some light on it. 24. Hey guys, for anyone who stills have CTD on map load, here's my solution: Recently I have had downloaded the Shadow Of Morrowind MOD (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35789/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D35789%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D988558&pUp=1). After going through all my MODs it seems that this one is the culprit. Especially since this MOD is changing world map so... Just for you who still crackin' out of their skulls.
