  1. I seem to have a problem with loading saves. The game doesn't crash, it just seems to sit there on the load screen, with the thing spinning and the pages still changing. if i do ctrl/alt/del and go task manager it says program has stopped responding. Does this trying to load a quick save and auto save.
  2. Thanks bilarion that worked a treat. Dunno about the UI mod ive got installed though. It seems to not be working properly, as for example the value of things is half obscured by a line, and the hud doesn't seem right.

     

    Any better one's out there?

  3. Can i also get some advice on this order.

     

    Crashing as soon as i launch. Never played NV with mods, only Fallout 3 and that took me a while to get my head around.

  4. managed to re-download it, and when i fired up FOMM it asked to move it to data folder so i did.

     

    It appears in mod list now, so i check it, and the other one's for Broken Steel. Here is my list:

    It crashes, though if i uncheck the EWE DLC addon it works ok.

     

    Also once you disable GFWL you loose your saves. If read the readme, and copied the saves, but i can't find a save folder in Fallout 3 to copy them to?

  5. It's not there, there is no App Data folder.

     

    I had it in the past when i played the game normally, i know that for sure. I never got the message after exiting 101 this play through, but ive been using the FOMM.

     

    Can you download it manually? Not sure what iam supposed to do, as ive payed for it once. Can't find any option on windows live to get it?

  6. Downloaded the disabler, installed it, selected disable, and then pressed move DLC's and it says none found?

     

    Do i need to find it and move it to Data manually? if so where is it?

  7. Yeah, thanks all sorted now.

     

    I don't quite get the fact i have to uncheck any broken steel plugins, as i have broken steel installed, at least i bought it, and when i load the game, it says loading extra content, so i assume thats that. Ive had broken steel before it loads automatically doesn't it?

  8. Ok ive got MMM installed and working ok. Ive added the EWE mod (energy weapons enhanced) and it's all in the FOMM, but it crashes, anyone got any ideas on load order, here is curret order:

  9. Ok, looks like ive got it guys.

     

    Using the FOMM, i went to package manager, then add FO Mod, then found the file, and then actived it, and it's installed, or so it says. If i try and do the same for the EWE mod it says that MMM has already done something with a file, do i want to overwrite it? obviously not, so does that mean i can't install it with MMM.

  10. Well, that screenshot is way too small to read properly, but I can see you're missing the DLC's. Did you not install them or do you simply not have them?

    If you don't have them, why not? And what version of the game do you have?

     

    If you simply don't have them you need to go through your load order and check if any of your plugins (the .esp files) have any of the DLC's set as master. If you have any then that's the reason why Fo3's crashing at startup. Disable them.

     

    As for Marts Mutant mod (MMM): How did you install it? DId you simply unzip it, then added the contents of the unzipped folder to your data folder.

    The best way to install MMM is via FoMM's built in package manager. (if you don't know what that is, just say so)

     

    Yeah sorry about the screenshot, thought you'd be able to zoom in on it.

     

    The only DLC i have is Broken Steel, so i only bothered putting that one in the Data folder. Don't want any other DLC's. I have patched to version 1.7.

     

    Ive done a fresh install, so im ready to load the correct way.

     

    With MMM i just unzipped the folder, then put the files in the Data folder. I have FOMM, and ive seen the package manager, how do i use it thanks?

     

    Yeah i think i botched the copying of files to the data folder, thats why some seem to be missing.

     

    Also thanks Werne, ill do that in future.

     

    Ive downloaded something called Boss Installer which apparently puts the stuff in order to minimize the risk of crash?

     

    I appreciate the help, i really want MMM as it looks great.

  12. Just to add ive uninstalled the game, deleted all game folders, and done a fresh install, so iam ready to install everything as you say lol. Also patched properly to 1.7 i think last time it botched, hence why it detected my video card wrong.

     

    I assume you shouldn't just unzip the files straight to data folder? Should i unzip them somewhere then copy and paste individual files, or a whole folder?

     

    Also what do you do with the EWE mod as it has 2 patches? how does that work?

  13. -Crashes just after seeing the fullscreen menu, well you don't see the font.

    -Only the EWE energy weapons mod, and Mart Mutant Mod. I unzipped the contents of what i download straight to the data file with winrar. Also activated archive installer. Don't get what to do them really, and im sure this is my problem. The EWE has poatches, how/what do you do with them?

    -ive got Windows 7 64bit, and yes ive installed it somewhere else other than program files, and the game doesn't crash without trying mods.

     

    Though oddly it does detect my video card a 7900 when it's a radeon 5870 lol.

  14. Hi. For EWE it's:

     

    Extract the files from the archive.

    2. Copy files to (install folder)\Fallout 3\Data\

    3. Start FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager)

    4. If you haven't done Archive Invalidation before you should click on Toggle Invalidation, otherwise leave it alone.

    5. Activate EVE.esm and EWE Energy Weapons Enhanced.esm by clicking on the check boxes next to them. Make sure EVE.esm is higher in the list than EWE.esm!

    6. If you would like Supermutants to be able to use energy weapons then you should also activate EWE Supermutant Energy Weapons.esp.

    7. If you have any other mods that may affect energy weapons in any way, you should also activate EWE Load Order Fix.esp and put it after your other mods (at the bottom of your load order).

    8. If you already have the original EVE Energy Visuals Enhanced mod installed you should deactivate it by unchecking EVE.esp. You should be using the EVE.esm and EWE Energy Weapons Enhanced master files instead.

     

     

     

    Marts mutant mod:

    Make sure you have installed ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated!

    1) Unzip the mod to your Fallout 3/Data directory.

    2) Use FOMM to select the following files to load (you *MUST* select both):

     

    [+] Mart's Mutant Mod.esm

    ...

    ... (other mods)

    ...

    [+] Mart's Mutant Mod.esp

     

    3) Optionally, also select your choice of plugins:

     

    [+] Mart's Mutant Mod.esm

    ...

    ... (other mods)

    ...

    [+] Mart's Mutant Mod.esp

    [+] Mart's Mutant Mod - Increased Spawns.esp

    [_] Mart's Mutant Mod - Increased increased Spawns.esp

    [+] Mart's Mutant Mod - Zones Respawn.esp

    [+] Mart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.esp

    [+] Mart's Mutant Mod - Hunting & Looting.esp

    [+] Mart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.esp

    [_] Mart's Mutant Mod - Wounding Effects.esp

     

    Make sure that:

     

    * All MMM modules load *after* Mart's Mutant Mod.esp

    * All the above MMM .esps are loaded last in your load order

     

    Also, make sure MMMF3 .esps are loaded last in your load order.

     

    4) Go inside somewhere without creatures and NPCs, rest for 4 days

    5) Save your game, and load your game.

    6) Enjoy!

  15. Iam really struggling to get my head around getting these mods to work.

     

    I want to isntall Marts mutant mod, and the Energy weapons improvment mod. Ive downloaded eveything, and i understand extracting them to the data folder.

     

    I do not understand this Archive Invalidation and the mod manager. Can i not just get these 2 to run?

     

    Please help.
