  1. What does "translations will no longer show by default in the search results" change mean for mods translated into English? Will users just browsing for mods in a Category (without a particular mod in mind) now miss out on translations in their language just because they are 'translated mods'?
  2. Woo-hoo! No dropped downloads + more stability, lovin' this!
  3. In response to post #10478470. #10479247 is also a reply to the same post. Why would you install your games in Program Files (x86 or x64), first thing I did with steam was to move it's directories to C:Games so that Windows would not throw a hissy fit every time I wanted to modify a file in those games which it would if they were installed in either Program Files directory.
  4. In response to post #10474770. #10474825, #10475172 are all replies on the same post. Shouldn't be anything wrong, other than Window's usual B.S. about executable files that don't originate from big publishers who register their products with Microsoft. Also, it sound's to me like it's on your browser that the 'blocking' is occurring which could mean that you are A) using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, in which case there should be an override for that block in the same warning message (but really why you aren't using an open source browser like Firefox, Chromium or Vidalia is beyond me). Or B) you have some over enthusiastic Anti-virus browser plug-in that in similar fashion to MS IE doesn't like it when people choose to use open source software (NMM is open source - and can be downloaded directly from SorceForge). You should be able to override the Anti-virus plugin either on this particular case by looking at the blocking history or by simply temporarily disabling it's plugin while you download the item.
  5. In response to post #10474770. Top of the page click the link " Install NMM (0.46.0)" and follow the instruction found on that page (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/modmanager/)
  6. In response to post #10474211. As long as you just install the new version without first uninstalling the older one it you won't loose your mods or mod lists it will just update the changed files in the program.
  7. In response to post #10445690. I don't mind Steam in some ways, but to me it's not ideal. For example some mods once updated are incompatible with save games that include their previous iterations (e.g. SkyRE), so the fact that all the control over what gets updated is taken away from me as a user isn't great. I'm the kind of person that wants Windows to inform me of updates but not silently just download and install things without my informed consent. I prefer when the end user has the choice to make more choices; NexusMods and other modding websites over the years offer that and continue to do so. So while I'm not against a feature in NMM allowing for 1-Click download+updates+installs I would hope that it would continue to be a manager tool and not a simple installer wizard. A big thank you to the NexusMod Team for all their hard work this week. I hope in the future I'll have a the spare funds to help fiscally support your continued endeavours to make the PC gaming community a better place with more choices for all.
