I have an perhaps odd question?
I've been learning about basic modding and have done a few dumb and weird things to my game.
My latest idea is to make a player home in a cave with friendly monsters that have different services, merchants, blacksmith, barkeeper etc.. I would want this to be a small hidden village with it's own little ecosystem, mainly for role playing and have a small cottage in a corner of the cave to be my home.
So, what would happen if I gave a giant a male voice, say male brute voice type and assign him as a blacksmith? No forge animations but just have him as a blacksmith vendor. Assign a troll with a voice to be a general shop vendor. Put a hagraven behind a bar?
Would this even work? My idea is to copy the interior of shadowgreen cave and make all the adjustments, then place the entrance at Riverwood on the other side of the river across the mill. I would appreciate any tips and tricks.

I want those dremora horns on all races, the horns are exclusive to dremora males. I have made a female version of them that works for all females, including dremora females. But I want to have the horns with other hair mods like KS hairdos and I can't figure out how?
Can I convert/add the horns to complexion or dirt the same way I change the hair to work on females?

I think you may need to review your faction you may need the dismissfollowerfaction as well but not completely sure. type this in your search box: "Dismissing Followers Script" you might fined some insight into what you may need to do. Link below:

Okay. But that is for custom follower quest and dialogue? I haven't done any of that with my followers. They are just standard and generic. But isn't that the thing with the -1 CurrentFollowerFaction? When you recruit a follower that -1 becomes 0 and when you dismiss them it goes back to -1? Cus the in game vanilla followers doesn't have any dismissing scripts in their CK actor windows. None that I can see, anyway. Except for quest and faction followers.
And it's only the orc follower and not the others i've made.

I have made 4 custom followers in my game. They are all very standard. No custom ai package or anything like that.
1 Nord female Heavy Armor 2H - Located in Rorikstead, Frostfruit inn
1 Nord female Light Armor 1H - Windhelm, Candleheart Hall
1 Dremora male Heavy Armor 2H - Whiterun, Hall of the dead
1 Orc male Heavy Armor 1H - First Located in Riverwood, Sleeping giant inn but relocated him to Moorside inn, Morthal after I discovered his random reappearing behavior.
I use the mod Amazing Follower Tweaks. And I don't have any other mods that affect ai or followers except for Bathing beauties luxury suite and
Enhanced enemy ai reborn, but I have removed the enemy ai mod.
The male orc was dismissed many levels ago but he reappears at random times anywhere in the world. In dungeons, towns, in the middle of nowhere. Sometimes it takes days, sometimes weeks (in game) before he pops up.
Sometimes he walks up to me and starts talking, meaning he runs up to me and the dialog menu pops up. I have pressed the reset follower action in the AFT menu but it doesn't do anything.
I haven't done any console resets, disable/enable yet.
I have been traveling alone for the entire thief guild quest line and the orc is so far the only one that reappears like this.
I opened CK and looked at his settings but he has the same settings as the others. Listed below. I deleted him and remade him and put him in another location. But he still reappears at random after I dismiss him again. I will perma remove him soon. But I just want to know if anyone has any ideas of why this happens? I've read that orcs have different behaviors overall compared with other races? Exactly what I don't know? I play as an orc female and wanted my follower orc to be my spouse. That was the idea anyway.

Seems to work. Had to do some molding in outfit studio and I suck at it :P Thanks again :)

look for the Jester files in the mod folder. take those out and do the following:
1) create a data folder
2) create a meshes folder and place it in the data folder
3) add a clothes folder to the meshes folder
4) place the Jester folder from the mods meshes folder in the cloths folder
5) compress the file using something like 7-zip
6) add mod to NMM using the add file button (plus sign)
7) give mod title
:cool: install mod
it should work. though you could just do all of that with the existing folders in the Skyrim game folder.

I've been looking at killerkeos skimpy armor replacer for skyrim. However, I only want one specific armor from the mod.
Could I download the mod manually and pick out the files for that single armor and somehow save it with CK?

Just here to confirm that I have the same issue and so far it's only in Sanctuary. Did you by any chance notice that crops and power lines disappeared before the game ctd?
I don't have any mods that effects settlements or workshop. I have also made a complete reinstall of Fallout 4 without mods and reset the ini files. Verified game cache trough steam and then started a new game.
So a fresh install without mods and I still get ctd after I scrap or store workshop objects in Sanctuary.
All of this started after the 1.5 update.

I know it has been done with certain beams, like institute weapons so I don't see this as being impossible.
Iv'e played around with making mods to Skyrim but I never released any. Mostly because my work wasn't any good, I made a heavy stormcloak armor for my character in skyrim and I wanted to recolor the cloth but I never knew how, also made a longbow and wanted to make the wood darker like walnut or black oak.
So I want to know how you change the color, what to use to do so and how?
i'm on sick leave for the rest of the year and want something to do, and I thought why not modding?

Hello, this might be an odd one but I wonder if you can change the color on the laser beam and sparking effect in the cylinder on the Laser Musket?
Had a dream last night and instead of red the color was fiery orange like a orange lightning effect, and I thought it was kind of cool :P
How should you proceed to change the color? What to use and so on?

Yeah i manage too understand how to use Boss and it seems my CTD's and freezes have stopped. I'm gonna take a look at the startup Memory Editor. Thank you :)

I read a bit more about Better Shaped Weapons and removed it. Now it seems the freezes are gone. But i got another CTD but it took a few hours before it happened though.
I use 1.6.16. Now i am a total noob when it comes to technical things, i downloaded Boss but i never got it to work cus i did not understand how to use it. I know how to install mods and i have a reasonably good overview over the load order.
But that last CTD might just have been a typical Skyrim CTD. If you know my meaning?
I've also read that Unique Uniques is quite unstable? But i can't get a confirmation on that. And i also noticed that i got some stutter/small freezes that only last for half a second when the icons was changing in the iNeed mod. Not every time.
I just have to try to remove the new mods and try them out one by one and se how the game reacts.

Hello fellow traveler. I am in need of help!
Started a new playthrough and I have the same mods that I always use and they are up to date and i have not had any problems before, but after I installed 5 new mods, I've been having some issues with freezes and CTD's. The new mods are Better Shaped Weapons, Fix for Combat Music, When Vampires Attack, Unique Uniques and iNeed.
I think i have installed them all correctly, and Better Shaped weapons does not show in my load order?
So what do you guys think?
