NMM says "Nogames were detected! NMM will close".
scegielski replied to SnowQueen's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Thanks, after not using it for a while I also failed to do this. Poos UI design to say the leasy. A green checkbox makes it look like all is ok and give no indication that it needs to be clicked to continue. -

Infinite loading screens WITH fix
scegielski replied to Idownloadstuff's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I just reverted back to .292 and that fixes my CTD so maybe it will fix your issue too. Can you try and let us know? -
I just ran into a similar issue and reverting from ENB .302 back to .292 fixes it for me. If you are using a newer version than .292, can you try that and let us know?

Infinite loading screens WITH fix
scegielski replied to Idownloadstuff's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I have had something similar happen recently too. What ENB version are you using? -
CTD when loading some games, but not others
scegielski replied to stuffmaniacle's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I've had exactly the same thing happen recently. One clue was that the corrupt saves show a very high number of scripts (like over 1 billion) when loaded in to save cleaner (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/?) and don't show the scripts themselves. The saves that work show a "normal" (around 6000) amount of scripts and do list them. My saves are around 25-26MB. I suspected dyndolod so I removed the esp part of it (kept the static and tree lods) and now my saves seem back to normal within the save cleaner (shows ~6000 scripts). Unfortunately, regardless off the dyndolod change, my game is now very unstable and will crash often when loading exteriors. It was pretty solid before this as my character is level 17 and I have about 15+ hours into it I think. Also, I do have the usual SKSE memory fix, memory blocks log to check it, and enb memory fixes in place. What ENB version are you using? -
I thought I remembered seeing a mod which raises the torch carrying arm which move the torch out of the way for a less obstructed view. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Thanks

In response to post #29061544. This! 100% agree. If you are not backing up your game directory, then a disaster like this is bound to happen one way or another, sooner or later. Acronis is an awesome all around backup tool and works great for this purpose. In addition to the the game direcory, I also include in the backup: - NMM's game directory which has the "Install Info" and "Mods" directories - "My Games" which has your save games and preference ini files - "C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Local\<game> (this has plugins.txt and/or loadorder.txt depending on the game) The cool thing about Acronis is that you can make progressive backups where only the changes are backed up. Disk space is cheap and doing this is definitely worth it in my opinion.

Wow, thanks from 2015!

To fix the stuttering, have you tried EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=true in enblocal.ini ? It's the only thing that works for me in FNV so it's possible it also works for Skyrim. I assume that OP has ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true setting also in enblocal.ini. When EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=true there is no enbhost.exe process and instead (from my understanding at least) VRAM is used which is faster for transferring the textures obviously. The whole idea with enboost is a hack to get around the game storing duplicate copies of every texture in RAM. It offloads them instead to either enbhost.exe or VRAM if EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=true.

Anyone else read this article? http://masterherald.com/the-elder-scrolls-6-will-be-bethesdas-biggest-role-playing-game-next-year/21872 As you can imagine, I was pretty excited to read that headline and then pretty disappointed after reading the article. From what I can comprehend, the article actually doesn't give any new information and is all just speculation. Did I miss something or is this just terrible journalism? This was a weird drop though: Skyrim 2? From another publisher? Wha-ha-hat?

This tip/trick might be something that's well known to a lot of people, but it's something I just discovered and I think it's pretty useful. Companions are great, but one of the problems is that they often get left behind in another cell for whatever reason. You could go back to the cell and pick them up if you can remember where you last saw them, but that can be inconvenient if not impossible. What I have done in the past is to record on paper the reference ids of my companion NPCs when I pick them up and then I can use console commands to bring them back. This is more convenient then traveling back to pick them up, but it still involves lots of typing for multiple companions. Finally, I realized that it's possible to use a batch file containing the same commands I was typing and to run it all with one console command. The trick is to put the following lines of text into a file in the game directory named summon.txt or something similar. prid <REF ID of NPC> moveto player In the lines above, replace the <REF ID of NPC> with the actual ref id number by looking up the NPC's name on Google and going to their wiki page. Repeat the above two lines for every NPC that you want to summon. Then in the game console execute the batch file like this: bat summon That is all. Hope this is useful.

Some new rumors today: http://www.designntrend.com/articles/33254/20150101/elder-scrolls-6-release-date-fallout-4-leak-war-skyrim-rumor.htm

Nevermind, I see that it has been requested before.

Is there any way to keep a log of the messages that get written to the upper left screen? Sometimes they go by too fast to catch what they say and it would be cool to have a mod that kept them and then allowed the player to read them. Sorry if this has been asked before. A quick Google search didn't show any results. Thanks.

Anyone know of a mod that adds parallax to the dragon bridge? It's such a unique bridge in Skyrim and I was surprised that none of the parallax mods seemed to cover it. Maybe I missed something? If it doesn't exist, that would be a nice one to have from one of our many great texture artists. Thanks!

I am having this problem where some NPCs have their eyelashes and possibly their eyes in the wrong place in relation to their face. I had the oriental version of WSCO (Windsong Skyrim Character Overhaul) installed at one point so I thought there might be something left over from that, but I tried re-installing it and it did not seem to affect Nelecar (pictured below) either way. I also re-ran GenerateFNISforUsers.exe since I have FNIS installed just in case but that did not fix it either. http://i.imgur.com/p059BpP.jpg Here is my load order: Here are my mods with their versions Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

CK ignores changes to already existing objects?
scegielski replied to BigBizkit's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Would this be the same issue with something like a carriage? I moved one of the carriages in the CK so that it did not intersect with a building, but it did not update in game. I made sure to check that no other mods were affecting it. Thanks for any info. -
Here is a suggestion for a new feature of the website. Would it be possible to automatically generate and update a tab on each mod's page that lists the files it contains that conflict with other mods and what those mods are? I realize it's probably a gargantuan task given the number of mods, but maybe a database of the files for each mod could be created if it doesn't exist already. A query could then be run and a report could be generated at mod creation time to generate the page for the tab. The pages for all of the mods could be automatically updated on a regular basis. Maybe this same information could be displayed in Nexus Mod Manager. It would be very useful to see this as both a mod user and mod author. Thanks for considering.

Help me identify the mod responsible for some gui icons
scegielski replied to scegielski's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Of course as soon as I posted this I realized what it was. The Loot and Degradation mod adds these icons when equipment is below 50% or something like that. Nevermind  . -
Can anyone help me identify the mod that creates the icons on the right side of this screenshot? It's a helmet, armor, and boots, but I don't what mod adds them. I tried turning off the SkyUI active effects display in the MCM, but they are still there regardless. I can hide them with IHUD, but they are always visible when the compass is visible. Thanks for any help. http://i.imgur.com/6SA7Iol.jpg

Ok, thanks for the confirmation. I should have known better by reading the comments on the page, but my curiosity got the better of me. How it has 10000+ endorsements is a mystery to me. I have a hard time believing all of those people actually ran the mod. The mod author's attitude also sucks. I agree Nexus should hide it to save people in the future some grief. Oh well, I guess it's back to Bleak Falls Barrow for the 100th time, lol.

Hey all, I have a character that I have sunk a considerable amount of time into and I am on the fence about ditching him and starting over because of how the Civil War Overhaul has affected the game. Most of the quests for that mod basically didn't work so I attempted to use the various console commands on the mod's page to fix the issues. I finally gave up and tried to just win the civil war by using the mod's MCM menu. This kind of worked since when I talked to Ulfric the next time he indicated that our side had won and made me thane of Windhelm, etc. However, I am still attacked by imperials when I am on the road. I tried removing myself from their hostility faction and that didn't work. I think something else happened as well since now I get attacked by Stormcloaks when I go to Falkreath. So long story short, does anyone have any suggestions to fix this before I completely give up? Unfotunately, the mod's author has closed the comments on the mod's page and doesn't seem interested in helping. Thanks for any help!

Last night while working through the quest "The Cursed Tribe", I entered Fallowstone Cave with Chief Yamarz to help him defeat the giant. To my utter surprise, as soon as the cave loaded, I got blasted by a shout from Alduin who then proceeded to fly around the cave and cast all manner of shouts at me. This has got to be the craziest glitch I have seen in the game yet. To complete the quest, I had to select Alduin and disable through the console. I am hoping this doesn't screw up anything in the future. My guess is that this has something to do with the Civil War Overhaul. Alduin is also visible constantly flying over the Whiterun area which is something that I hadn't seen before installing CWO. CWO states on it's main page "You came to the siege to party - dragons may decide to come party with you. :D enjoy.". Seeing as the author has locked the comments on CWO and I didn't really find anything relevant by searching the them, I thought I would post here to see if anyone else has experienced something like this. Overall, I have had nothing but problems with CWO and probablu would not install it on another play through. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!

I can't think of a game that I have gotten more value out of than Skyrim. Compared to the standard 10 to 20 hours of game play that can be expected from most single player games on the market, the Bethesda games stand far above the rest in terms of value. So just for fun, I wanted to know how much I am paying per hour of game play. I calculate this by simply dividing the purchase price which I estimated at $60 by the number of hours I have played, 1324  . In my case it works out to $0.04 which is 4 cents per hour. Compare this to the above example of 20 hours and it's $3.00 per hour. Or going to the movies for 2 hours at around $7 per hour. I am curious how much value other people are getting from Skyrim?
