Update: it did appear to be Racemenu in my case. I just downloaded the latest update and now it's working fine.

Yeah, thankfully I still had the zip for 2.0.17 saved in my files, otherwise I would have been screwed. Glad to hear this isn't just a me problem though! Always reassuring when it's not my fault.

I just updated my SKSE to version 2.0.18, and now the game won't even open. It gets to the black screen before the main menu and crashes. I've read that a mod made specifically for an older version can cause this error, but I have no idea which mod it could be. Anyone else having this issue after updating? Any idea what could be causing it?

[Move Morokei]

I've always been bothered by how much stuff is locked behind the College of Winterhold questline, and how the main plot all but forces you to join it. I've downloaded a few mods to avoid it, but I realized a full collection of dragon priest masks is still locked behind that questline. I was looking at some mods to unlock labyrinthian, but I fear the consequences of such a mod on playthroughs where I actually want to be a mage. Then I realized: wouldn't it be easier to just move Morokei?

 

Here's my idea; move Morokei to a more accessible part of Labyrinthian, and replace his encounter at the end of the college questline with an unnamed, unmasked dragon priest. Can it be done? Is someone out there more talented than me willing to make the attempt?

Exactly what it says on the tin. I was looking into making these outfits playable for both sexes, but my experience with nifscope and blender ends at knowing their names and vaguely what they're for, so I don't know if its within my skill range. Basically what the title says. I'm looking for a horse replacer, preferably one for Content Patcher, that works with the 1.3 update that let's you put hats on horses. All the ones I've found thus far have the hats move oddly as the horse runs.

Ok, I get it now. You switched to UNP because of your struggles with Outfit Studio. I can work with this now. I'm gonna give you a quick tutorial on outfit fitting then. Warning: these screenshots may be NSFW, as I havent figured out how to load the never nude body in OS.

 

1. Begin your project. It should load the outfit and the base CBBE body. (I'm using an Apachii armor I had on hand.)

2. Delete any skin shapes that are not part of the CBBE body. (In this case it was just the BaseShape)

3. Turn all the outfit shapes transparent. Just click twice on the eye next to the name of each shape.

 

4. Use the sliders to get the body to fit the outfit. When converting from the vanilla body this usually means using the Vanilla SSE Sliders right at the bottom, but don't limit yourself. It's ok if there's some clipping at this stage, what's important is that your body fits your outfit as closely as you want it to.

5. Once you have your body fitting the outfit, go to the 'File' tab and click 'Create Conversion Reference'

6. Make all the shapes solid again the same way you made them transparent, then use the increase mesh brush to fix any clipping. 7. When you've fixed all the clipping, go to the 'Slider' tab and press 'Conform All' https://prnt.sc/klgn8t

 

8. Press the pencil icon next to the lone slider, which should cause the outfit to conform to the base CBBE body. Fix any clipping in this form.

 

9. Once you're satisfied there's no clipping, go to the Slider tab again and click on 'Set Base Shape' while the pencil icon is still pressed. http://prntscr.com/klgnyx

 

10. Go back to the File tab and press 'Load Reference' to load a fresh body. https://prnt.sc/klgo3z

 

11. Go to the Slider Tab and click 'Conform All' again. This is a good point to save at because sometimes the next few steps can randomly cause crashes.

 

12. Now for the long part, but depending on your level of commitment this bit is optional. Go through each of the sliders, press the pencil icon, and fix any clipping the sliders cause. This is really only necessary if you're planning on publishing it. If not, you only really need to do this for the sliders you use to create your personal preset.

 

13. Get rid of the body. If the outfit covers ever bit of skin you can just delete it, but if there is visible skin I recommend using a Zap Slider. You simply use the mask brush https://prnt.sc/klgolv to mask all the visible skin, then go back to the Slider tab and press 'New Zap Slider' https://prnt.sc/klgotk After you create it, if you click on the pencil icon in front of the new Zap slider and press tab it brings up a menu that allows you to make the Zap slider automatically enabled. https://prnt.sc/klgova This will cause everything not under the mask to disappear in game.

 

And aside from weighting vertices (which I can help with too if needed), that's pretty much it! If you do it like this, the outfit should fit to any preset. If you need any more help I'm happy to explain anything.

Well, the fact that you're using UNP might be part of the problem. Outfit Studio doesn't support UNP, at least not right out of the box. Can you tell me what steps you've taken to make UNP compatible with Outfit Studio? That might help me figure out what you need to do.

I'd just like to say a quick thanks to those who replied. I managed to cut my mod count down from 252 to 225, which is quite a few mods gone all things considering. The plugin count is down to 203 which is a major improvement. Hopefully I've learned my lesson about changing and adding mods unnecessarily, and I'll be able to power through to where I was over the weekend.

My beloved lore character is a dual-wielding assassin with a focus on immersion and realism, so I suppose I can delete most of the mods that have to do with magic and the college. Ah, converting and merging, the two things I'm the most terrified of doing. I don't really know why, but attempting those freaks me out. I'm slowly come to the realization that there is such a thing as too many mods. I'm also realizing I was an idiot for thinking I could safely swap mods in and out willy nilly, but that's another story. I'm being forced to start a beloved character over for the third time as Campfire has once again broken on me, and this time I'm going to do it right. No more randomly adding and removing mods, and a much shorter load order.

Problem is, I'm having trouble trimming it down. To me, all these mods seem necessary, but I'm getting the feeling that's just my awful brain getting overly attached to trivial things again. I'd like some outside help in cutting down the number of mods I use.

If its a direct port, then the problem is that the new CBBE body considers the calves their own slot while the oldrim CBBE did not. If the calves slot isn't enabled, the calves will be invisible. Enable the calves on the outfit in SSEEdit and they'll reappear.

[Help about outfit converts]

I might be able to help you. The missing calves are caused by the outfit in question not having the calves slot enabled. Go into SSEEdit, find the outfit in ArmorAddon, and enable the calves.

 

The clipping is another beast. You have 2 solutions here.

 

1. Right click on the outfit shape and select 'Copy Bone Weights'. This will cause the outfit to move with the body.

2. Use a zap slider to hide everything hidden by the outfit. Use the mask brush to hide everything you want still visible, then click on Sliders and select 'New Zap Slider'. Press the edit button next to the new slider and then press tab, which will open the Properties window. Change the default values to 100 and build the outfit. This will cause everything hidden by the Zap slider to become invisible, and therefore have no chance of clipping.

 

I'd say try option 1 before option 2. that shirt looks pretty sheer, and a zap slider may cause more issues than when you started. If neither works you may just have to pull the outfit out a bit further from the body.

Okay, I give up. I've been using Bodyslide for the past couple of days to make some conversions for personal use, but I've gotten beyond the point tutorials can take me, and googling my problems isn't turning up any results. I need help. Specifically, I need someone who's actually good at Bodyslide to help me figure out how to make a project link to two different textures in game and how weighted vertices work, because both these things are making me pull my hair out.

[Looking for some modding help.]

I'll be the first to admit I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to modding. Most of the guides and tutorials out there go right over my head. So I'm turning to the community to help figure out how to do what I'm trying to achieve.

 

I use The Kids are Alright, and I like most of the things it does, but I don't like the changes it makes to Babette's outfit. I'd prefer to have her in the dress added by this mod, specifically this one, but I don't want any other part of that mod because it completely breaks Multiple Adoptions. I tried to just delete all parts of the mod except for Babette's dress, which worked on the vanilla Babette, but the same edits make to TKAA's Prince and the Pauper patch didn't work and at that point I just gave up because it was 5 in the morning and I hadn't slept yet.

 

Does anyone know how I can go about taking the texture from that mod and applying it to Babette in a way that works with TKAA and doesn't include the parts of Prince and the Pauper that break Multiple Adoptions? Any help at all is appreciated.

I know! It's such a creepy room, with the weird lighting and the corpses and everything. What I really don't understand is why the heck was 'Malborn' there, why is he alive, and why does he look so different from the actual Malborn? I haven't even started the main quest yet.

I just discovered Moss Mother Cavern on a new save, but Valdr wasn't there. "Weird." I thought. "I'll just use the console to teleport myself to him and see where he is." I was brought here....

 

 

An eerie stone chamber with four hallways, lit by purple and green light. Littering the ground were the bodies of Valdr, Calixto Corrium, and almost every person I had killed for the Dark Brotherhood. (Ennodius Papius was not there for some reason.)

 

Two of the halls were empty. One contained two coffins. One was empty, one belonged to Beitild and contained all her belongings

 

 

The last hallway contained Malborn, or at least thats what his nametag said. As you can see, he looks nothing like he appears in game

 

Each of the doors led to a black void where I would fall for a few seconds before being teleported back to the corpse pile

 

 

So yeah, I don't think I'm getting Valdr's Lucky Dagger in this playthrough...

3d modeling is not something I know how to do, unfortunately. Maybe Body Slide/Outfit Studio would be able to help put things the way you want them?

I don't believe the OP's issue is with the actual 3D shape. If you look at the female torso in NifSkope, the vanilla bodymesh, the breasts are a decent size and shape. The design of the armor itself, its texture, gives the appearance of these boob holes, as the OP mentions. The male texture has them as well, to a much lesser degree.

 

The best way to edit the armor to get rid of those would be to have the chest area be a solid piece of leather. I can't do that type of texture work, or I'd help the OP out.

 

 

 

 

You've hit the nail on the head vis-à-vis what I'm looking for here. I did notice after I made this post that the dude version has that same problem but on a smaller scale. Both have the problem of being both uncomfortable and unrealistic from a construction standpoint. Like a person would have to go out of their way to make it look like that rather than just have the fabric sit on top of the chest like normal fabric does.
