Vault 76, What will make you give it a chance?
xelntchance replied to Mavkiel's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
The things that make me want to give it a chance are, Fallout, Bethesda game and a mod enabled game. I do have concerns like many others. *multi player* *always online* *regular updates possibly breaking the game* *micro transactions and the inevitable advertising in game* *morally I don't like the idea that to complete the game story, nuclear missiles have to be launched to 'seal up' fissures in the earth from which the scorch beasts are emerging* I may wait a cpl years to buy it on sale, I may not. I just don't know yet. -
Mods will be allowed on Fallout 76
xelntchance replied to THEvaledgamer's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Looking at my games library, Bethesda and its entity companies are disproportionately represented by titles and play time. I hope the modding tools release soon after launch. I hope its a worthy addition to the collection. But I might buy Doom eternal first. -
Mods will be allowed on Fallout 76

this is a quote from Prinyo over at lovers lab. funny because its kinda true. Credit where credit is due - V76 is a result of BGS actually listening to our feedback and fixing the problems in FO4 we were complaining about. Some examples: 1. Why do you sell mictotransactions in a SP game - fixed - the game is now MP 2. The dialogue options are bad - fixed - no more dialogue options 3. The settler's AI is a bit flaky - fixed - no more settlers 4. The factions are not fully fleshed out - fixed - no more factions 5. Preston is annoying - fixed - no more NPCs 6. The story is not so good - fixed - "make your own story" -
When the game first came out pre-patches/content, I felt a nostalgia for the relatively few minor glitches. It tried so hard to be a Bethesda game.

I have even defended DDprod (Ifeel so dirty but I know he would understand) Hugs Darren you poor misunderstood thing,.... Laff you bugger laff. Bethesda is mired in a mine field of legal mumbo jumbo and apathetic appeasment. I'm sure that fading left the meeting with the most delightful smoke dissapating from his arse he was seeing unicorns and the world as a beautiful place. But what are they going to do to stop these dreadful excuses for human filth. What are they really going to do? They won't allow moderators to show that anything is done in general forums let alone mod pages. Terms of member privacy cannot say time out, banned, slapped on the wrist or even given a dirty look. All we get in response is 'we are working diligently to ensure a fair and equitable arse raping of all concerned. I have spoken with Rohugh , nice guy and all but he is all but powerless. It is past any point of wait and see. because the people who could make the changes that are needed are'nt seeing or caring. That just sucks for everyone 'cept beth and the pirates.

Sorry guys I've been fighting the good fight on Beth net and frustration got the worst of me. I have the utmost respect for all of you and fading signal. how ever on the beth side of things I am seeing the slow creeping wheels of a bueracratic engine grinding up good people ,...... I apologize.

I played vanilla New vegas for over 500 hours, then I started modding it because I didn't want it to end. I'm over 3500 hrs now I consider that a successful game. Fallout 3 1000 hrs and TTW. As for fallout 4 3 playthroughs vanilla and modded and I feel like I'm done save the DLC that has yet to drop. And I'm not impatient for it at all. Mods have as always given more life to the game, however even mods seem to not be able to surmount the vanilla base. Time, talent and imagination will I am sure improve the game and for that I must whole heartedly thank and encourage the mod community.

Thoughts on Fallout 4's DLC ending in August?
xelntchance replied to Deleted4363562User's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I am completely underwhelmed by the DLC for FO4. I had great interest in the upcoming titles from Bethesda, was even considering pre order. Now after seeing how Fallout and Bethesda.net has been handled I am going to wait for steam sales on all future Bethesda games. -
One week is all took and more damage than mod gate could ever have done. good grief

At this rate modding will be dead in another week xelntchance Jun 6, 2016 9:23 PM It has only been a week since X box joined the modding community. I say welcome to you all. The vast majority of you will be anonymous fellow gamers enjoying Fallout the way its meant to be played, modded with user generated content. Please understand that the people who create these mods have put tremendous effort into them. They spend hundreds of hours building in these game worlds and then share it openly. Prior to console modding going live, the modding forums were abuzz with excitement at the prospect of something new. Authors were also wary of that small percentage called the TROLL . Being part of a community they knew just how poisonous one person can be. The optimists knew that a company like Bethesda would have rules and moderators in place to keep things going smoothly, I mean its in their best interest..., isn't it? On the other side there was the thread saying get ready for the storm for console users are legion and that small percentage called TROLL is many. OH how right they were and yet it seems so much worse. Those TROLL users that are insulting mod authors by uploading and downloading with out the authors permission should be ashamed of themselves. Not to to forget those that are fueling this with forum posts disrespecting the very people who create mods. You have had a week of access to mods if this keeps up you will only have another week before its gone. Show some respect, have some patience. Many mod authors have purchased consoles and console copies of the game to test and upload their work. That is time and money on top of everything else they are doing. How about telling them thank you, looking forward to trying it out. No more of this 'PC elitist' tripe because that is Trolls feeding Trolls. Finally Bethesda SHAME ON YOU for allowing this mess, you don't seem to understand your own customer let alone product.
