It's really cool that all the fools who bough a season pass when the game came out get more then whats promised, already a house mod, a quest mod, and an expansion sound great! Sure, would could make the same stuff with the Geck, but the they're trying to push the geck to consoles, and lets all be honest, ambitions projects like an expansion either turn out be finished and crap, or possibly good but stuck in development hell (project Brazil anyone?) It also doesn't make sense to make mods available to consoles, since that would technically give them a free alternative to content, but the genius of having the tools come-out after the dlc, is that a number of modders will be using dlc in their mods, thus having their mods require said assets, requiring the consumers of the free mods to buy said dlc, which is way more pressure to buy, and way more advertisement then they could ever buy.In fact, Beth will probably make a lot more money off of the people who don't buy the season pass, i.e. console players who won't be able to wait till the next steam sell to get the dlc at mark up prices, as well as the many other players who are just browsing for mods, and can't stand not being able to get the lastest front page eye candy because they don't have the dlc require to play it.
