+1 I still play the game and love it, minus the bugs. I applaud your idea. Anything that improves or updates the visuals would be appreciated. In a similar vein, I could use help with something. I'd like to mod the decals if possible so that blood stains and explosion burns on the floors and other surfaces will persist for a while longer. There must be a setting for it somewhere within the game files, I just haven't been able to find it yet.

Hello, everyone! I wanna thank everyone who endorsed my mods over the years. I'm an avid gamer with OCD and I enjoyed being a part of a community that helps make games more enjoyable for everyone. I'm been out of the TES modding scene for a while but I'm considering making a comeback. I'm considering getting Skyrim SE and remaking my best mods. It would entail refreshing myself on the usage of the CK and studying my mods. I would start with my economy mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29934?tab=description But before I commit to the time and effort to remake this mod I'd like to gauge how much interest there would be in it. If you would like to my SEO mod remade for the Special Edition then feel free to comment below.

daysgone Bikes Headlight turned off as default
EnigManic replied to ShootNBlankZ's topic in Mod Ideas
I wish I could upvote this suggestion a hundred times. It drives me up the wall that I have to turn off the headlight every single time. I don't use it unless I really need it so I don't give away my position and it makes no sense to have the headlight on during the day. -
Fallout 4 crash to desktop in specific area
EnigManic replied to TOExHEAD's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Do you use mods? Your save file may not be corrupt. Turn off Steam cloud sync and then make a new character. Bare with me a minute.. Once you leave Vault 101, use console commands (COC) to jump to one of the locations where the game crashed to desktop. Does the game still crash? If not, the other save file is indeed corrupt. If you still get a CTD at certain locations even when using a different character then mods are the problem. Here are the steps to fix it: 1 - Disable and uninstall all mods. 2 - Uninstall Fallout 4. 3 - Check the Fallout 4 folder (Steam/SteamApps/common/Fallout 4) and make sure it's empty. The problem was that you had orphaned files in the Data folder from previously uninstalled mods. 4 - After ensuring the Fallout 4 folder is empty, reinstall the game. 5 - Install ONLY the mods you were using when you got the CTD. Optionally, you can try skipping mods for now. 6 - Load your save. You may get a warning message about missing mods. Use console commands (COC) to jump to one of the locations where the game crashed to desktop. Problem solved! -
I still have a thang for Borderlands 2 and I was disappointed by the lack of texture mods for it when I came up with an idea. If someone makes this, I will seriously love you forever!! How about a mod that brings the Borderlands girls into the Boston wasteland? Mod Piper's face, body and outfit to look like Mad Moxxi! I love her! Make Cait look like Lilith! Add Gaige as a playable follower! Maybe you could even mod Valentine to look like Zero and Strong to look like Salvador? Anyone else have some ideas?

The first thing that comes to mind is boundaries. Your navmesh may be right near the edge where one exterior cell ends and another begins. If this is the case, there's a special way to connect the navmeshes of two adjoining cells. I don't remember how to do it, I gave up on Skyrim a while ago but I know you can find help if you look up the CK tutorials.

borderlands2 How modable is this game exactly?
EnigManic replied to Azriel637's topic in Mod Troubleshooting
If you're familiar with Texmod you can alter his textures so yes, you can change his appearance. There's currently no SDK for editing the meshes but you can at least give him a new skin. -
I've recently learned how to edit textures in Borderlands 2. I'm still tinkering with custom skins but I thought about making a more ambitious mod. I'm thinking of editing textures for various elements of the environments to make the environments look slightly more realistic, or at least just a little more detailed. It will take some time and effort so before I even begin, I'd like to know if anyone even cares. If enough people express interest than I will get started.

Why do some followers have combat animations that the player character doesn't? If the followers can punch and kick, shouldn't the player be able to as well? I was playing yesterday morning and I was exploring some ruined building with Cait. We were being attacked by raiders when I backed myself into a corner. A raider ran toward me ready to ace me when Cait ran around the corner and pulled off one of the most awesome things I've seen in Fallout. I watched as she kicked the raider in the chest, toppling him to the floor. Then she leaned over him and shot him point blank with her double barrel. It was like something out a movie, it was awesome! But why can't the player character kick enemies?

Something I haven't found a mod for yet that would be very helpful.. Suppose at some point you decide to reorganize your supply lines. You have to run all over trying to track down your supply runners or wait for them to return to each settlement. That takes forever. It would be really nice to build another version of the bell that lets you summon all your provisioners to one location so you can reassign them.
-
This will probably have to wait until the GECK comes out but I think it would be pretty awesome.. I'd love to see a mod that gives you Vault 111 even as part of a quest. Suppose you need to reach a certain level or at least establish the settlement at Sanctuary and then you can acquire Vault 111 as a player home? It would be wicked to take possession of the vault and be able to clean it up and furnish and decorate it as you see fit. Maybe even be able to build and assign beds to your favorite followers.

Can someone make a mod so that energy weapons won't disintegrate robots, synths or turrets? It seems unrealistic when machines get turned to goo.

I know it's easy to be insensitive to people with OCD but can someone please fix the doors? Whenever you place a wood or metal doorway, the door can only be installed one way and it swings outward instead of in. It annoys the hell out of me because the metal doorways can only sensibly be placed one way due to the way they're modeled and textured. Another great thing would be to edit the doors or possibly make new ones that can be installed in the doorways of pre-existing structures, preferably swinging inward. :)

I have long wanted to learn how to edit vanilla meshes and make new armor and clothing mods for Skyrim. But I always hit one snag or another. I could use some help. I have the correct version of Blender properly installed and running so I'm ready to start dabbling with it. Unfortunately, I can't for the life of me find a decent tutorial. I have repeatedly searched for tutorials on how to use Blender and its user interface. Of course there are a few tutorials out there, but I can't find one for that particular version of Blender. Like it's outdated to the point that I can only find tutorials for the latest version of Blender. Can someone please help?

If you enjoy a mod, have the decency to endorse it. I don't buy the crap, "Oh, I forgot to go back and endorse it." That's just lazy and ignorant. When I download and install a mod, I keep the browser window open. I play the game for a bit, and when I exit the game, there's my browser window reminding me to endorse the mod. Some of these modders work real hard, for free, the least you can do is show your appreciation by endorsing them. -
Steam and Bethesda remove paid modding from Skyrim Workshop
EnigManic replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
I'm gonna rehash my two cents. Dark0ne mentioned that Bethesda released SDK "when they didn't have to". With all due respect to the host of a great site, that's a load of crap! Of course they had to give us the GECK and the CK for free. Without modders, FO3, Oblivion and Skyrim would have fallen out of favor long ago. How many millions of times do people have to point out Bethesda's horrible business practice of rushing broken, buggy games through development? Which brings us to my next point. I agree that modders who work hard for free making enjoyable mod content may deserve some form of compensation. Again, blame the people who use those mods but are too cheap to donate even a dollar whether they can afford it or not. But pay mods open up a hornet's nest full of arguments and legal issues. Furthermore, I don't think it's necessarily wrong for a mod author to seek compensation as long as he doesn't turn his back on all the people who supported him. I do have a serious problem with greedy corporations taking 75 percent of the action for no good reason. There's something beautiful about the culture, the art and entertainment of video games and mods. When you infect these mediums with corporate greed, it all goes to crap. Ultra-capitalism is an infectious disease. People need to get their greed in check. That includes all the mod users who can afford to donate to the author of a mod they enjoy but don't just because they don't have to. It cracks me up, how often people post praise to the comments sections of mods they enjoy but can't be bothered to go back and endorse it or donate a measly buck. These people are part of the problem. Meanwhile, why don't enough talented people in the modding and gaming community raise enough noise to get another game developer to man up and try their hand at open-world sandbox RPGs? For the love of God and anything holy, someone finally give FO and TES real competition so Bethesda will have to start doing their jobs better. Then we'll see how that affects gaming and modding.. -

In response to post #24622474. #24707964 is also a reply to the same post. I agree with you completely, but I must point out the irony.. "..only want the products I paid for comes in with ZERO PROBLEM, and WORKS RIGHT OFF THE BAT, no BETAs, no ALPHAs, nothing of the sort of "i'm going to beta test for you"." Sounds like an issue with every FO and TES game. -

Thank you, SirTopaz! Let's recap: Bethesda gets filthy rich off of Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, FO3 and FOV rushing those projects through development and releases broken, buggy games.. Then people like Brumbek and Arthmoor work hard to fix and improve those games and Bethesda and Valve want to capitalize on it? Mod authors sell their work on Steam so Bethesda and Valve can take 75% of the profits?!? -
I fully agree with digitaltrucker. I would also like to share my two cents. I am deeply concerned and outright enraged by a certain aspect of this "pay for mods" deal.. Why the hell is Bethesda getting a cut? They are a greedy and lazy company. The Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises have become so popular that Bethesda knows everytime they simply announce they're making a new FO or ES games, tons of people around the world immediately decide they're going to buy it. Therefore, Bethesda knows their games will always achieve huge commercial success and dozens of GOTY awards. So they act like a typical greedy capitalist and maximize profits by minimizing their expenses.. HERE'S WHAT MY RANT HAS TO DO WITH THE NEXUS MODDERS - .. They rush their games through development doing a lazy, half-ass job and release a broken, buggy game. Then, it is up to Bethesda's fans and CUSTOMERS to fix and improve the game. Awesome people like Arthmoor have to make unofficial patches to fix thousands of bugs that Beth couldn't be bothered with in favor of their profit margins. The modders of the Nexus community fix problems, improve and build upon existing features, add new features and generally keep these games relevant for years after their initial launch. And after Bethesda made their millions, and after the Nexus modders fix everything, then Beth wants to profit from their hard work. All these wonderful modders made their content for free, for various reasons, and then Beth finds a way to profit from it. It disgusts me. While we wait for the second coming of Jesus before another game developer gets the guts to make a serious competitor to TES, wouldn't it be nice for Bethesda to do their job right in the first place instead of releasing their buggy crap for their customers to fix?
-
So a funny thing just happened. IDK what mod adds him, but there's an NPC named Tharsten the soul gem merchant who hangs around the Ragged Flagon. Apparently, he's got some skills.. I had started a new playthrough and I'm making my way through the Ratway to join the Thieves Guild. I get to where that little garden is with the axe sticking out of the stump and I hear, "Fus ro dah!!" It wasn't me. I procede to the next room with the door leading to the Flagon and I find a dead thug on the ground and Tharsten walking away. Since when do merchants know Unrelenting Force? What silly situations have you encountered in Skyrim? Share your experiences here..
