  1. Is it someplace I'd have to create a new account for
  2. Argh I hoped it would be back on today. Hope a support ticket has been filed with IPB. **starts making puppets of all chat regulars and playacting conversations** **totally not going insane**
  3. I wonder what those last 5 people were talking about all day in chat before it emptied out. World domination, probably. Any activity that goes on in chat whilst I am barred from it is inherently suspicious and ought to be subject to criminal investigation.
  4. Fine. I don't need chat anyway. I don't have a problem. I can quit anytime I want. Who needs the satisfaction of fast realtime interaction with you people anyway. Not me, that's for sure. I am a rock. I am an island.
  5. The ToS is a lot of information to get through, but as users we are expected to read all of it, and if we miss a rule and get into trouble for it, on our own heads be it. The rules are all there. As a result, I tend to check the ToS a lot out of paranoia, and it would be hella easier if it had a navigation tool. A table of contents with jump-to links for each section, or something along those lines. Can't speak for others, but it would make the information more accessible and easier for me to consume, personally.
  6. Much thanks to this thread. It was a super annoying problem and uninstalling Magic Duel - Reborn fixed it right quick. Forgot I had it installed, to be honest. I never could get any of the duels to trigger even with all parameters met and chance set to 100%. Now it seems the mod author has dropped it due to performance and stability issues. Guess there's not much reason to keep it. It's a shame, it looked REALLY cool.
  7. My broad machete mesh is located in the TribalPack BSA and its file name is tribalmachete.nif.
  8. Does the problem persist if you start a new game with no mods installed?
  9. No, it's a mod utility that helps with load order problems. http://boss-developers.github.io/
  10. Tried the oft-suggested verifying game cache method to see if Steam restores any scripts that may have gotten corrupted for that action? If it's script corruption, uninstalling all your mods may not fix the problem as scripts don't take unemployment well. If you fire the mod they belong to they like to stick around anyway, creepy stalker like.
  11. Hmm. Are you using the 1.6.16 beta or the new alpha build? Is this happening regardless of whether you use the desktop shortcut or the NMM SKSE launcher?
  12. We are alone in a practical sense, yes. The universe is a very, very large room, and regardless of what life exists out there in its depths, we probably won't be hearing anything but our own voice echoing back at us for a very long time.
  13. Each of my personalities seconds, thirds, and fourths this, so if you show support after me you have to start at five, like "I fifth this."
  14. The guy who was stealing and uploading the mod onto Steam did so three times. I was just thinking he may have gotten crafty after the first time he was caught, snuck it into other mods or something. But I really have no idea. Could just be an innocent glitch, though I'm baffled as to how it came to be. Verifying game cache also never hurts to try, unless you've cleaned your .esm's.
  15. No idea. Do you ever use Steam mods or do you always use Nexus?
  16. The file name for scaled armor is cuirassheavy, and any armor that replaces it would need to call itself by the same file name. Try going into your Data/meshes folder and running a search for "cuirassheavy." Make absolutely sure there is no .esp (like Silverlight Armor.esp or something similar) active in Data Files. It appears Silverlight Armor was posted on Steam Workshop several times without the author's permission and then taken down. If you got the mod from the Workshop, I'm not really sure what would happen if they took it down while you were still subscribed to it, and in any case an unauthorized version of the mod really isn't to be trusted. The official mod page here on the Nexus doesn't say anything about it replacing scaled armor. The mod puts the armor in meshes/armor/silverlight (its own folder) not meshes/armor/hide (where scaled armor replacers would need to go). The fact that you don't even have an armor folder is kind of weird and makes me think this mesh got into your game in a weird way.
  17. Yeah, it sucks when the mod clearly seems abandoned but you still can't make easy changes that would be of great benefit. As a mod consumer I wouldn't mind some kind of "if you don't touch the mod for 5 years others can release updates for it" de facto or something, but I would probably feel differently if I was a mod creator. I don't see the Nexus implementing such a policy. It is big on mod author rights.
  18. It's possible SKSE isn't installed correctly. If this is the Gopher video you mean, it seems to be instructions on manual installation, which isn't necessary anymore. Try going to silverlock and downloading the installer version instead. It will automate the process and may eliminate any user errors. Then see if SkyUI works. If it doesn't, post back. Also wouldn't hurt to say what error message SkyUI is giving you, if it's giving one at all.
  19. Rofl. Wouldn't mind seeing pics of that if it happens Pyschopav.
  20. WHOO! IT WORKS! Ha ha! Spellsword! Blockin' with mah steel! Look at that! Parry! Riposte! Chain lightning! Power slash! Fireball! Heal wounds! Parry again! BOOM! I am a true swordsman and a true mage! No longer must I be forced to choose 'twixt the two! FREEDOM! You guys are great. Here, have an assortment of Invader Zim themed cupcakes.
  21. Sweeeeeet. All right, I put the raw files in the Skyrim folder and killed the bin folder. @ nosisab: I bought the retail disc version and it auto-installed there. Are you saying I should completely uninstall the game and reinstall it in C:? Does this mean deleting and re-downloading the game? It took Steam two entire days to install Skyrim the first time around. I'm kind of horrified at the prospect of going through that again. I had to download it in fits and starts, and it moved at a snail's pace. If I let it download constantly it would run down my download allowance with my ISP, so I had to wait until after 2 AM every night to download it during the 2 AM - 7 AM free download window. It was not fun. @ acidzebra: Does it matter if the .asi files go in Skyrim > asi or Skyrim > Data > asi? Seeing as how file paths seem to matter a lot and all. Dual Wield Parry installed its .asi files into Skyrim > Data > asi.
  22. Information: System: Win 7 64 Bit Skyrim version: Latest Script Dragon version: 1.7.7.0 I'm a spellsword, so I've been salivating over the Script Dragon version of the Dual Wield Parrying mod. Except I can't get it to work. I installed Script Dragon but it doesn't seem to be awake. Unsurprising, considering the guide was incomprehensible to me. "When game launches it loads dinput8.dll, dinput8.dll loads all *.asi libraries from the game directory, first loaded *.asi plugin loads ScriptDragon engine library ScriptDragon.dll, all other loaded *.asi plugins are using previously loaded ScriptDragon.dll. While further loading *.asi registers itself in the ScriptDragon.dll. When game will be loaded each *.asi script will be restarted. Scripts are not working while menu/map/etc is active, for example if you will open console all scripts will be paused until you close it." ^ Greek. But I understood the "place bin folder in Skyrim folder" bit well enough: "Copy all contents of the 'bin' folder to the game folder (where TESV.exe is), if you don't need ScriptDragon example plugins (*.asi) you may delete them and corresponding *.ini files. Asi plugins also can be place in the '<game>\asi' folder." So I did that. http://i885.photobucket.com/albums/ac58/Mirrorway/Picture3-2.png I don't even see an asi folder in my Skyrim folder so I'm a bit bemused about that particular part of the instruction. Even so, I created an asi folder and put the relevant files in there, but it still didn't work. Not even sure what those .asi files are for anyway. Then there's the actual Dual Wield Parrying mod, I suppose, but I've gone over it several times and I can't figure out where I installed Dual Wield Parrying incorrectly, if I did. Pasted the mod's Data folder into the Skyrim > Data folder, clicked "merge," copied and pasted the single Dual Wielding Script Dragon .esp file. Made sure the mod was checked in the Data Files menu of the Skyrim launcher. Nothin'. I hit the V button and my character doesn't parry. Assistance? I'm kinda hopin' for one of those nice "oh I was just a moron, all I had to do was flip this easy little switch" fixes.
