  1. "make the game scaryier in general" In general, I do not know. But you could try some of these. The Evil Mansion - Final Editionhttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/... 2. Did your friend specifically ask you to create this load-order manually? If so, i'd scrap that effort in favor of using LOOT to manage and generate a new load order for what you have instead. I also noticed something weird with your list, with these following mods in particular: ApachiiHair.esm ApachiiHairFemales.esm ApachiiHairMales.esm Campfire.esm hdtHighHeel.esm AP Skyrim.esm They seem to positioned beneath some of your .esp based plugins. The general rule for .esm plugins is that they should be loaded above your .esp files along with the rest of your .esm files and that your .esp files at the bottom of them. If anything try re-arranging these files to be grouped with your .esm plugins and above your .esp files and see what happens then.
  3. What a coincidence, i'm going to be installing Windows 7 too. Finally had it up to here with the watered down compatibility system that won't work with the games I play, and the fact that even though I have my games seemingly in 'fullscreen' it plays them in 'windowed mode.' Not entirely sure how to describe it, but the best comparison I can make is that my games are playing at 'fake fullscreen' mode w/vsync on.
  4. If you're ok with XP for gaming and/or work, continue using it. If you ever decide to upgrade, stay away from Win 8 or 8.1 like the plague. Plays older games like Oblivion with poor performance, and the UI is stupidly annoying.
  5. Yeah, just saw that. Just slightly paranoid about something breaking.
  6. Pray tell, if this doesn't work. Would there be anyway to completely uninstall the runtime file? Registry and all?
  7. I was experiencing issues with Belethor's inventory prior to installing the 'fix' for it. Sometime in the past, on a new save (the save i'm using right now), Belethor's inventory was completely devoid of any stock whatsoever, installing the vendor file allowed his inventory to appear once again. I'm not sure what merchant/trade overhaul mod you're referring to, but I did install a mod which added both 30k in sellers gold to Belethor's reserve and custom weapons and armor for sale through his shop only. For the merged patch issue, thanks for the heads up. I did not know that TES5Edit did not support that function anymore, merely I was committing to a suggestion endorsed by a individual(s) well known for making tutorials on such things in regards to creating a more stable modded Skyrim. I suppose these methods should be considered dated now?
  8. Thank you for responding. I did look for any missing masters in the plugin.txt file and they seem to be all there, unless you're referring to a plugin that my mods might need that I haven't installed yet. I can however assure you that isn't the case. SSS.esp isn't actually 'Skyrim Scaling Stopper', it's the 'Smokin Sick Stylish' skyrim Devil May Cry combat mod developed by an author known as elysees, or elysees(2.) I did clean all my mods through TES5Edit (including the Dawnguard and Dragonborn plugin), unless specifically instructed not to do so, or that they were already cleaned by the author. For compatibility issues, I made a merged patch with TES5Edit known as the 'Sky Mega Patch' which I placed at the bottom of my load-order. The patch was meant to resolve compatibility issues with Skyrim Monster Mod, JaySuS Swords, and Extended Vanilla Weapons as they modify the same-leveled list. Nothing else as far as I can tell needs a patch in regards to compatibility issues. As for Sharlikrans 'patched' version of JaySuS Swords, yes I am using that, however, it could be an older version so i'll check if there's a newer one. Most of my mods consist of weapon and armor plugins that do not integrate themselves past the Forge function of the game, so really no conflictions there either. My load-order structure from top to bottom is this; Top; New world spaces, game changing effects (example; Superjump_x2, IMAGINATOR, Dual Flurry, Artifact Disenchanting, and etc) and Races. Middle; weapon and armor mods.Bottom is specially reserved for script heavy mods like these. Please respond as soon as possible, thank you in advance. -ArcturusFyr
  9. The ones neither listed in BOSS, or LOOT are as followed. Shaolin Menu Music Coverwomen ver.2.0 Dimonized UNP
  10. I'm well aware that LOOT is the new BOSS, however, as the technology itself is still green, i'am also very wary of using it. To clarify my reasoning for that, it's because I've not heard or seen any discussion in regards to the improvement of mod management with its use amongst the various circles of the Skyrim modding community. This includes the viewer base of Gopher, who has done a video on the utility in question. LOOT itself seems to be for the moment, generally mistrusted in its efficacy to create a more stable load-order than its alternative BOSS, which is still the recommended utility for the use of load-order management. Despite all my reservations however, I wish to know your experience with the aforementioned utility. Did you have any issues with your load-order before using LOOT, if so, what was it that LOOT helped 'fix' for you after using it? What gains did you achieve using LOOT instead of BOSS? Is it also possible for you to post your load-order, as a type of reference I could use for my own? One more question, and possibly the most important. Does LOOT recognize mods that are NOT from the Nexus, but rather those that are managed by, but shall not be named sources that are outside of the Nexus, but likewise heavily invested into the Skyrim modding scene nonetheless? Please respond as soon as possible, thank you in advance. -ArcturusFyr
  11. I didn't use LOOT, I used BOSS, but half of these aren't even recognized by BOSS so some of these mods had to be arranged in the load-order through manual guess work.
  12. I would like some assistance with the arrangement of my load-order, as I have noticed recently there to be some FPS issues that didn't exist before. Please respond as soon as possible, thank you in advance. -ArcturusFyr Skyrim.esmDawnguard.esmDragonborn.esmJSwords.esmMagicDuel.esmSkyMoMod.esmSkymo-Dawn.esp10 extra effect.espAnimated Enchantments.espApocalypse - The Spell Package.espManaBomb.espMasterTheTimeAndSpaceTOGGLE.espArtifact Disenchanting - Dawnguard.espArtifact Disenchanting - Dragonborn.espArtifact Disenchanting.espberserkraces.esmBelethor Vendor Fix.espBelethorGoods.espBrighterTorchesBiggerMagelight.espDYNAVISION Dynamic Depth of Field.espGrass On Steroids.espIMAGINATOR - Visual Control for Skyrim.espJSwordsDistributionBalancePlugin.espposesivecorpses.espSkyUI.espCastlevaniaMemoriesFirstEpisode.esmCastlevaniaDataNoVideos.espquest into the depths.espSuperSkyrimBros.espThe Fifth Gate.espThermopylae.espBloodskalBladeRevamp.espDual Flurry for all.espHeartBreaker.espSuperjump_2x.espSSS.espTKcombat.espEMCompViljaSkyrim.espEMViljaInSolstheimAddOn.espMrissi.espACAxe.espAdamantium Armor.espAlfheimKnights.espAngelic_Demonic.espAwelgriz.espBianco Angelo.espBiPolarBlade.espBlacksword.espBloodyOathBlade.espBurstLauncher.espChesko_WearableLantern.espColdWarWeapons.espConanSwords.espCoreanWEAP.espCrainteVomir.espCuteunitized Twohanded Dawnbreaker.espDaedric Lord Armor.espDarkFang.espDarkKnightPaladin.espDarkKnight&PaladinWS.espdD-No Spinning Death Animation.espDemon Sword.espDiamondWeaponsN.espDragon Soul Relinquishment.espDragonAgeWeapons_1.espdragonsoulgem.espDread Knight Weapon Set.espDMC Gladius.espDwarvenSlayer.espDwarvenSwords.espDwemer Goggles & Scouter.espDwemerAutoBlade.espDwemerRifle.espDwemerSeeker.espEbonyMask.espElvenGreatBlade.espEternalShineArmor.espEternalShineWeapons.espExtendedVanillaWeapons.espFamilyJewels.espfengyun.espFire Blade.espFists of the Gods.espFormsEdit.espFrostmourne v.1.3 unenchanted version.espFS_SwordOfTheSeeker.espGhosu - Project Flintlock - Ammo Addon.espGhosu - Project Flintlock.espGizmodian Silver Swords.espGizmodian-Obliviweapons.espGreenDragonCrescentBlade.espgun.espInsanity's Chrysamere.espInsanity's Goldbrand.espInsanity's Ice Blade of the Monarch.espInsanity's Umbra Sword.espimpgen.espKatanaCrafting.espkimono's witcher silver swords.espKnight Of Thorns Armor.espKroniid.espLancelot Armor.espLich King's Armor.espMagicka Sabers.espMehrune's Razor Remodeled.espMGR Raiden.espMLR.espMuramasa.espmy claymore.espNero.espNicoroshi Creations.espPauldrons.espPlush Backpack.espPony_Armor.espPonySword.esppony_no_crash_mod.espRealmshatterArmorpack_v001.espRealmshatterWeaponPack.espribeable-broom.espRifle.espRings of Sid.espRorona.espRorona3scabbard.espSabreFurBag.espSA Scythes.espScythe Weapon mingyannu.espShining Paladin.espSilverDragonArmor.espSommnkatana.espSong General Armor&weapon.espSpace Wiking's Dwemer Exoskeleton.espStormLord.espSRIlta.espSRIsaka.espSRKirsikka.espSRMaisa.espSRSarasta.espTD.espThe Siegebreaker Greatsword.espTheMadMasker.espTwoRings.espUniqueWeaponsRedone.espViciousDawnbreaker.espVocaloid Hatsune Miku.espWarglaive of Azzinoth.espwarmagearmor.espDibella's Butterfly.espEoGeom.espemptyspell.espexcaliburEX.espHecatic.espMarblePhantasm.espMaximumDrive.espMultiCoreShot.espNineLivesBladeWorks.espRabbitNuclear.espRhoAias.espShieldSlam.espStarburst.espstinkmeaner.espSwordDance.espSwordExplosion.espTempest.espTsukuyomi.espWarSwordFollower.espWhirlWind.espWhirlwindSprintWithForce.espWhiteofbook1.espzsdreamer.espDeadlyMutilation.espSky Mega Patch.esp Using SKSE ver.1_07_00 Alpha Here's a basic overview of my system. -Asus G50JS-DS71-Win 8.1 OS-64bits-x2 7200rpm SATAIII 1-Terabyte 6mb cache HDD-x1 7200rpm SATAIII 500gb 6mb optical tray HDD-Twin Fan Cooling system w/copper cooling upgrade-Intel i7 4700HQ 2.4-3.4ghz w/turboboost-Nvidia GeForce GTX 870m w/3gb gddr5 ram dedicated (driver version 337.88 WHQL)-Intel HD Graphics 4600-16gb (Stock) Dual-Channel ddr3 1600mhz ram
  13. Have you tried using Boss to re-arrange your mod load order? I assume the crashing comes from loading your most recent save file yes? If so, try loading a earlier save, if that still doesn't work try creating a new game and see what happens from there.
  14. At this point i'm totally humbled, I thought I could do this type of thing with impunity (because most of time I would see only performance boost's; faster boot time's, and fps increase's). Initially, my laptop only had 7-8GB of Ram for free use, later on 12, then 13, then 14 (over the course of'a year)... I think the 14 part maybe what's causing the problem's. Will work from there and try to keep ya updated.
  15. Hmmm... This'll be a'bit short (Really tired, so please don't be too cross with me) but what I notice between my brightness/colour incorrect laptop vs the Two other laptop's which has appropriate colour setting's.(1-mine, 1 uncle's) is that they both have 'Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework' service enabled, while the one with the problem has it disabled. May that be the issue? I'm going to try to enable the thing again but before doing that, I'd like to hear your thought's.
  16. Hmmm? No OBGE or any Graphic's extender's for either game. The mod's (Oblivion). -Aetheric CuteBlade -Jojjo's Drake Knight Armour and Weapon set. -OBSE -DMC Stylish (Non-.esp version) -Fast Exit 2 -OSR That's really it for Oblivion. For Skyrim, no animation mod or graphic's mod's. All of them are just Armour and Weapon mod's. But they're far too numerous to list. Y'know this's really funny, there are mods that can enrich the colour and deepen the shadow's of the game, but with a few simple change's to the in-game graphical setting's you can get some of the Visual's generated by visual enhancing mod's, not saying to be mean. Just thinking aloud is all.
  17. I can assure you that my laptop can run Oblivion. But here's something that's really strange, I don't think it's Oblivion, but Skyrim(Has never been uninstalled) as-well, both have the wrong level of Brightness for setting's I've made in-game and out. However, when it come's to Borderland's 2, the change's in for setting's in Gamma, Brightness and Contrast seem to apply. Before, borderland's also seemed washed out, but after applying my new Nvidia Desktop setting's. The game became more vibrant and rich in colour's, when it's daytime in the game. Colour stand out as they should, when dark, it's appropriately dark, where-as the game prior to my recent desktop setting change's, colour was also washed out (in comparison, didn't really notice before, seeing the game was still colourful in either setting's, noticed the difference after making the adjustment's) I'm wondering if it's a problem with the script extender's running for both game's on my computer, I mean, I've disabled a lot of thing's in the MSCONFIG utility, same with mine uncle's laptop, but with a few exception's. Think I should start from there?
  18. Doesn't seem to be the case, the "bFullBrightLighting" script line is at the 0 value... Hmm, on another note, I did experience something strange this morning after doing the maintenance process I let my laptop finish over-night. Yesterday I tried to change the colour setting's of my game through the Nvidia Control Panel utility. The option I used to do this was the "Adjust Desktop Color Setting's" I managed to brighten up my desktop through the Brightness and Contrast setting's (both are set at "45") and changing the Gamma from it's original setting of "1.00" to ".63" screen color was less washed out, and was at a fair brightness level (The user-interface for the launcher became darker, but the game's colour and brightness setting still seemed a little too bright and colouration washed out), however, when I started up my laptop again, the colour setting's I had made didn't seem to take affect, colour was slightly washed out again. I checked the Nvidia desktop colour control again, my setting's were saved, but they seemed to have not taken effect, I dialed down the gamma slider, and it immediately went to the dark colour again as opposed to the light-colour it was on, I only dialed down to point .60 and it looked like I had been dialing from the 1.00 setting to .60 instead, even though it was already .63. I also forgot to metion this, but when my uncle's laptop goes to the Oblivion Title Screen, it's bright at first, but when the title "Rest's" on the screen it become's dark, but when my title screen come's up, it's somewhat dark. and when I try to move the slider down on the "Brightness" option it flare's up even brighter, my lowest setting's for brightness, are my uncle's laptop medium "Brightness" setting's. It's really odd... If you've anymore help to spare, I will gladly accept it. Thank's in Advance.
  19. Will do, thank's fellow. I will make sure to post my result's as soon as I change that bit of script there.
  20. Recently, re-installed my Steam Copy of "Oblivion GOTY", this time however the visual's seem a'bit off. My last installation (which went bad after playing for 4 month's on it, the game wouldn't even load-up!) allowed me to adjust the "Brightness" setting's of the game, which produced rich colour's and dark shadow's (dark to a point where I would need a torch or light-spell to see) and brought a greater level of immersion that i'm trying to emulate again, but unsuccessful at doing because of god know's what. So here's my problem, when I launch the game and reach the Title Screen, a certain level of Brightness/Darkness would be set, but when I try to adjust the brightness slighter down, the game's brightness flare's up to a even brighter level (Even though I've been setting the slider down), and when I set the brightness level on lowest, it's still brighter than the initial setting's. The only way to reset it is to set the slider value's back to the center (and I mean CENTER, if the slider is even one bit off, the setting won't reset, the title screen when it's coming up will look like the original brightness, but after the title is on screen it'll just flare up again.) I noticed this difference when using my laptop and that of my uncle's, when I launch the with my uncle's laptop, everything from the User-Interface down to the in-game colour is dark and saturated, when using mine, colour is slightly off, shadow's aren't as dark and colour seem's a'little washed out. If anyone here has an answer to my problem, please feel free to leave an answer. Thank's in Advance.
  21. Recently, I've been trying to download a armor mod for Skyrim. This particular mod known as the "Chinese General Armor" has timed out at certain point's of my download session. The download would stutter and eventually freeze at 1-15 megabyte's and it would seem like it has "Completed" while it is in actuality, only downloaded partway. My web-browser is "Google Chrome" and I've never experienced a problem such as this downloading other mod's as I have with this one. If anyone/anybody can help me with this problem, i'd be grateful. Any help is appreciated and also become's the benefit of those reading this post looking for answer's for a problem similar to my own. Thank You in Advance ~ArcturusFyr
  22. Goodness, I even attracted a staff member :P. But in all seriousness, I was hoping that i'd wouldn't have to do all those things, still, good stuff. Has this been happening lately though? I've used Skyrim Nexus many times and haven't encountered such a thing like this. I suppose I did make a record however, 6-7 months without a Virus until now. All good things must end at some point I suppose. Anyway, to those whom had replied, I Thank You. Please feel free to post more if you think you also have advice to add.
  23. Thank You in Advance to all.
  24. Part 2: was a "ok" button, didn't click that, started up task manager, went to Applications, even the application was titled like the website, this one I remember a bit more clearly "Alert! several viruses detected on your computer, scan now!" or something like it, closed it with task manager, disable internet, went to "History" cleared it out, used ccleaner to clean registry and internet files, did disk clean up, went to actual temp folder and cleared it out, used malware bytes free edition, a few moments later moments later I also decided to completely unplug my modem during the scan process, at the eleventh minute of scanning. eset nod 32 started to act up up and show a red box that said programs/win32/risky, virus or something like it, malware bytes had found nothing, but that's because the virus had been quarantined before malware bytes got to it event said it was cleaned, I found it in quarantine and deleted it (I know, pretty stupid right? Was shocked by what had happened to much think clearly) look at my eset not 32 "statistics" chart of Antivirus and Realtime both found 3 infected objects and 1 cleaned. This had never happened to me before, have the latest edition of java, eset nod 32 should have latest definitions, browser is also fully updated, firewall was on cleaned out registry before going on internet(ccleaner). Please post your thoughts, experiences and advice on this matter.
  25. Today on the 2nd of July while I was finding mod's to download on Skyrim Nexus, something rather peculiar happened. After downloading over or exactly half a dozen mods, I began to view another file, or rather tried, the mod that had my interest was the Skyrim Dragon Priest Armor for Males and Females (not sure if the title is entirely correct), at first the page wouldn't load up, instead a white background came up saying something about not being able to load the page, it was different however, to the Google Chrome "oops!, link appears to be broken/not working, please try again" error that i'd at times get. The font of the message on the error page was big and had two buttons below the message one I think was "reboot page" or something the other 'Technical" or "Technician". I paid no mind the buttons and pressed the back button from my browser (Google Chrome) to the page with the title of the mod shown, clicked on the file again, page showed up correctly this time. saw the picture of the mod (old man wearing dragon priest armor shooting lightning from hands or a staff) all of sudden the page with mod I was gone vanished, and replacing was a empty page (white) in the center however was a small prompt/window the top part of it saying something like "queermalwarescanprocessesfound" or something along those lines, the url was pretty similar as-well. inside the little box was the message "Several viruses have been found!" System at risk! use the queer system virus scan!" or what-not, bottom of the prompt
