  1. Even if I do get that mod working, it's not going to give me everything I'm looking for. Like changing the textures of the various playing cards.
  2. That mod got broken with the update. I'd also like to be able to do things like custom playing cards as well which isn't covered by that mod.
  3. https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/8267 Basically this. I want to do it myself and make my posters buildable in outposts or placeable buildings. It was really simple in the FO4 and New Vegas kits.
  4. I don't want to outright replace them. I want to keep the vanilla posters in the game but also create my own.
  5. I want to retexture posters and playing cards with my own images but I can't figure out how to do it. I have a little bit of experience doing it in Fallout 4 and in New Vegas but doing it in the new creation kit eludes me.
  6. I believe is a "foot-in-the-door" to make console players open to paid mods without them really realizing it. Right now we have mostly junk (the DOOM stuff is visually appealing to me) but in TES:VI or Fallout 5 or Starfield (if it exists) it could very well be escalated to the point of full-blown MTX garbage. Yes, PC players get shafted because the console market is bigger but we need to put aside our egos and at least agree to unite and undermine Bethesda when/if they cross the line with the CC.
  7. I'll probably get banned for this but it needs to be said. Bethesda PURPOSELY added a poor mod system for consoles. They played into basic human selfishness knowing that a minority of console players would steal mods off the Nexus and upload them to the their website and built the site so that the legitimate uploads could be pulled because of butthurt. With the number of "PC Master Racers" and angry modders they spawned, they created a rift between consoles and PC which allowed them to add the Creation Club therefore legitimizing paid mods. They played us against each other so they could bolster their bottom line. Console and PC shouldn't be fighting, we should be fighting Bethesda for producing a weak game, weak DLC, and for pushing paid mods. This has been eating at me for quite a while and now I'm finally saying it. Bethesda proved us to be fools.
  8. Works like a charm. Thanks! If anyone has any lesser-known tips or tricks, please let me know!
  9. Hi. I just began using the GECK and I've built myself a dumpy little house and now I'm attempting to decorate it with custom posters but this: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1181673086. I only have access to GIMP as far as image editing tools go. Like I said, I'm REALLY new to this so use small words if possible. Thanks.
  10. So I put this together in about 10 minutes and I know it isn't exactly the next mod of the year but I figure it might be fun. Japan in Fallout isn't really developed (at all) so I figure there can be some wiggle room in terms of lore. The quest starts with you finding a ruined katana and some scrolls in a crashed eastbound flight. You are then presented with a few options on repairing the katana and introducing them into the Commonwealth. Path A. You take the items to the Brotherhood of Steel and they research and repair the katana you found while developing their own. Completing this path nets you the Hagane no kokoro (google translate of Steelheart) while introducing BoS Ronin into the wastes. They wear custom light BoS combat armor and wield inferior copies of your katana. Hagane no kokoro is an industrial katana with an almost WH4k feel to it while ignoring a fair chunk of armor and inflicting bonus damage to robots. Path B. You take the items to the Institute. They deem the found katana a piece of history and create new hypersonic katanas (Grey Fox fell on hard times after MGS). You receive the Noijīkuriketto (Noisy Cricket) and it introduces Synth Bladers to the overworld. Noijīkuriketto is an Institute styled katana that does electrical damage and has a very fast Path C. You take the katana to a mysteriously absent Minuteman leader who directs you to the Nakano residence. They translate and teach you the techniques of katana forging. You return to General MacGuffin who helps you forge Keikai (Vigilance) and adds Minuteman Peacekeepers to the wastes. Keikai is a traditional katana that does bonus damage to organics and inflicts bleeding. Yeah it isn't amazing but what do you expect from thoughts stirred up while in the shower?
  11. Can you link me to the appropriate body replacer? I'm really not making any progress on my own.
  12. Tried the suggestions and nothing is working. I uninstalled everything including the game itself and the issue persists but I'm new to modding so maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'm using NMM, I downloaded this: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35935/?, I downloaded this https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34702/?, and the end result is in the screenshots. I modified the .ini files, I tried creating a merged patch, nothing.
  13. I grabbed this a while ago and finally started playing (again) but my character's head is a drastically different color than the body. I've played this since launch on console and have never encountered something like this. I haven't touched mods at all yet and messing with the .ini files didn't do anything. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1170259921 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1170260224 I'm at a loss for what to do. Anyone have an idea on how I can fix this?
  14. So I managed to get it over to Bodyslide but there were no sliders. I copied them from the outfit that it was based on and now the sliders are there BUT... They don't do anything. I've played with every slider option and there were no visible changes. This is getting irritating.
  15. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17404/?tab=11&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Ffeedsmod%2F%3Fid%3D17404&pUp=1 I've been trying to convert this to my custom preset and I've hit nothing but roadblocks. So I load this up in Bodyslide and no sliders appear and when I hit preview I'm met with an empty box. I then try loading it up in Outfit Studio and if I use the separate Bodyslide files I get a Fatal Exception and it crashes. So I tried loading it up individually and it works in the Outfit Studio. I save it and load it up in Bodyslide and the custom textures don't appear so I'm left with vanilla ones. I've tried everything I can think of so any help would be appreciated. EDIT: Forgot to mention I downloaded with NMM and the outfit does appear in the game textures and all.
  16. Hi. I'm a big fan of House and I was wondering if anyone who is half decent at creating companions would mind attempting to make him as a companion. He'd probably use a Syringer for ranged and (obviously) a cane for melee. Maybe use quotes from the show for dialogue. Thanks.
