I have always seen as DLC good if done right
for example
DLC can be a good thing like Fallout 3 DLCs O:A, PL and MZ they were all good and well done I thoguht but I could never see them work as a proper expansion packs as so are right for DLC
while the two DLC what was BS and The Pitt while was good ideas they were trying to fit soemthing to big in to soemthign what to small which I found was rather dispointing, and more epxnasion pack ideas (e.g somethign like SI from oblivion)
also then theres price
Fo3s DLC was at a right price but things like map packs I always saw as being to expensive for what they were same with oblivions DLC(except KOTN) being to mcuh for what they are.
DLC is good but only if the ideas can fit in to the size and to try get the right price aswell

Could possibly go either way to greatness or the pits. Yet it also could crawl along in the middle until it quietly dies out.
I hope that the series is made great despite that in many ways it sounds like a repeat of Star Trek Voyager.
Hoping for the best but fearing the worst!

Sg1 was good favorite seaons was 1,2 and 9,10(mainly as to some degree it went back to its roots on trying to find techolgy but they cant go back from season 7 and 8 when it introduced the ships) but also gave the more win, lose situation
Atlantis was ok wasent keen on it to much(I loved half the chacters and disliked the othe rhalf of chacters)
But it jsut slowly got boring after season 1 as the wraith dident ahve much added to them
but stargate really should of sjut ended by now and more the odd short film around it

Anyways, I'm glad to see that they are keeping FO3 alive with DLC, but they really need to start on Tes V IMO.
I have a feeling Beth is already hard at work on the next Elder Scrolls. It's slated to arrive in 2010.
somehow I doubt they will make that deadline, im counting on either 2011 or 2012
they are working on TESIV by changeing/ceateing the game enigine and hardcodeing the features for TESIV in it (E.g spells,combat etc...), I read it in one of the DLC interviews
so they are working on it, but in the meantime jsut making a quick buck I think

Dark0ne, Buddah and the rest of the moderators and ahve helped everyone(which has lead to both good and bad conseqances)
They ahve givena great file sharing palce for 3 great games(morrowind,Oblivion and FO3) where people can freely upload to the site, has great number of options and settings to choose and a forum whats givena good strong community.
yeah theres the odd one or two things I dont like(which seems to be geting fixed soon so quite happy on that), but there completely optional and again why woiuld I want to complain to a great free site lkike this(if I had the money or a bank account I would donate)

Yeah but the xbox traded in there cool interface for crapy one(which to some degree is simuler to the PS3)
both have good potential but I would say the PS3 will probley last a longer then the 360
If Microsoft dose make a new xbox version in the next year or 2(like processor upgrades ETC....)
I would be really annoyed and lose quite a bit of faith in microsoft(then again i ahve lost alot faith in them jsut by windows live alone) as the ones who bought the lesser model gets riped off on it, like they done wit an elite version
though I must admit that it was funny with MGS4s main producer that he thoguht the PS3 could do more and was disapointed by it when it was the first game really to make full use out of blue-ray and its processor

The Sega CD was, it came out in the early 1990's, and it was ahead of its time when it came to cd play back.

I agree with that about ps3 and 360 apart from charging for online for ps3. I sort of don't like having to pay for extras once i buy something, hence why i avoided getting a 360.
I said better services,dident say would ahve to be charged for it
HOME could be a sorta start to better services thoguh i find it by the look of it a more interactive Facebook
I own a 360 mainly as it was cheaper at the time and there really isnt that many excluesive games I want for either of them(there was MGS4 but I completed it on my brothers PS3 it was a good game enjopyed to know ending story but was a bit of a dispointment compared to its past games)
I played Halo 3(after hearing about all its hype) and it was just purely rushed could tell straght from the beginning of the game
I also have a PC thoguh this thread is more to concles

I recently noticed how the quality of ps3 exclusive games in general is increasing and that of 360 games is staying the same. I guess Im a little biased, but it appears the 360 is now past its peak according to some developers.
One of Namco's senior developers said that the new Tekken game (6) is pushing the very limits of the 360 console: "It is a challenge to fit this game onto one DVD and to make sure the data is read at a fast rate" "It is essential to utilize the 360's functions and strengths to the fullest in order to accomplish the same goal. I believe that the data and experience gained during development may affect development of the next iteration of the console."
THQ has also found the same problem with development of Red Faction (3) Guerilla due for release late this year/2010: "Yeah, we’ve got it to the point where we can’t even put an extra vehicle into a world, because it’ll blow the memory. Every little change we make we have to be hyper-critical about it because it could just bring the whole system down"
As well as this, top of the current UK chart sales killzone 2 developers mentioned the game being nigh impossible to develop for 360: "We are taking huge advantage of the architecture of PS3. I firmly believe that what we've shown we can get out of that machine would be difficult, if not impossible, to deliver on a competing machine."
I am just curious, what is anyone elses take on this? How much longer do you think the 360 will live before they unveil the 720?
And also will the ps3 loast longer, or will that go at a similar time?

well I think the 360 went downhill ever since there new interface thing
360 rushed....came out good short term but will fail long term
PS3 slowly devepoped came out bad short term but will succed long term
but if the PS3 gets better online services and pay for more multiplayer games (what are excluesive) then the 360 will fall alot faster
but the 360 is still rather imppresive speically with it running RE5(well the demo anyway)

Eh, what was there was quite good, but RA3 felt a little like they spent the same time on the three factions they normally would have on two. Hope this is clear... while the overall storyline was quite good (keeping in mind it was intended to be a B-movie plot) the individual campaigns felt more rushed than they were in previous games. The tempo at which you invaded America as the Russkies in RA2 felt quite believable (again, in keeping with the setting) -- in RA3 you were jumping all over the map with very few follow-up missions. The only campaign that felt right was the Japanese one, I felt something was missing while I was playing it for the Allies and Soviets. Especially the latter!
And is it just me, or was the Russian sniper actress hardly used at all? Does she even HAVE dialogue in the cutscenes? Going by the previews and interviews I'd have expected more.
yeah quite a few of missions felt abit to rushed,speically the ending conflict between Japans side,
Also I thoguht a few more maps for Skirmish would be more better
Same the Russiabn sniper only was in 2 cutscenes and only stood there for 2 seconds
I did not like about the RA3 was that most of the woman actors in the game were more Eyecandy then anything, and made most of the female chacters in the cutscenes well kinda sluty, also that I thought Tanya looked like a man in a wig

Red Alert was great, except for the horrid indoor missions (although that is mainly because I just don't like the just-units-no-base missions). I think it's better than Tiberian Dawn.
RA2 was fun, but a little bit too goofy. I'm glad RA3 was treated somewhat better... alas the storyline suffered. It felt like half the game was missing, and I won't be surprised if we see the rest of RA3 in an expansion or DLC soonish.
I qute Liked the story in RA3, mainly as I dident want it to be another see Soviet invasion of America or Europe as it wouldent really be origional compared to the last 2 games
Playing the game Co op is pretty cool with campaigions, I done the whole Allied campaigion with a friend(compared with the Soviets, the allies one is more Co-Op based then the Soviets, not sure about Riseing sun campaigin)
with an RA3 Expansion im kinda Hopeing they dont include Sub Factions(mainly as they done that in Genrals and Tiberium wars expansions and maybe another Faction),yet it would be good if they made subfaction Countrys for each side as I think the Red Alert series Used Sub Factions in the other 2 games from small changes-to just adding one unique Unit to each subfaction
like say
Allies would have America,England and France
Soviets would have Russia,Cuba and Libra
The Empire of the Riseing Sun would have Japan,Korea, not sure if China would be best for the other country

I always thought RA2 was way to overpowered to the Allies speically with the Spy what can power down biuldings,Steal Techonlgy from Soviets,Steal Half the enemys Money and Reset Radar when the RA1 all they can do is make the player see what the enmy was biulding and even in the Expansion pack the Soviets were the weakest as of not haveing much power against Yuris mind Control units
But RA1 and 3 got every thing pretty well balenced and yet still as unique as they can be
also isnt EA now working on the new Genrals game out of the series?

my favorite Faction was the allies for there battlle Crusiers....but them Russian Tesla Coils were good

If you are still doing your battlehorn mod, try useing wrye bash as that converts esps to esms and vice versa.
Im looking for forward to seeing this mod in the latter part of its creation
