  1. I know that this one has come up before, but I've never seen a satisfactory answer to, or implementation of, a decent compass in NMS. Those that have been supplied have been utterly useless and now, in Beyond, we're back to none at all! I've lost count of the times that I've tried to back-track to friendly trading store, or gone round and round in under-water circles until I've just given up. A decent compass rose with at least sixteen points would solve these problems... and to forestall those who say 'but we don't know where North is': it doesn't matter; what I want is relative bearings that'll give me a fair chance to find the thing I'm looking for instead of criss-crossing a planet in a hopeless (or just plain damned lucky) search. So could some kind modder out there please, please provide a decent compass?
  2. I have the same problem with two different versions of NMM (0.55 and 0.60), installed and uninstalled several time, with multiple log in attempts. All result in 'Cannot reach the Nexus login server...'. I've added the exceptions to Windows Firewall; even disabled the firewall, but the error persists. I'm now downloading manually and using NMM to install mods, but that ain't ideal. Any suggestions? Oh, using my brand new (today) Win10 installation. I wonder if I've found a MS bug?
  3. I'm running a new installation (just a couple days old) of Morrowind Overhaul with a large number of mods - all of them painstakingly checked (having learned the hard way) individually with Mlox and Wrye Mash after every single installation; a few needed work with the Construction Set to sort out invalid references, etc., but I ended up with a completely 'green' showing in Wrye Mash (if that means anything!). Everything was fine until I came across a pub called the 'Soggy Muffin' just outside Pelagaid; I had several CTDs fighting rats in the basement and eventually ended up with a complete system crash. Not a simple crash, either - it took forever for a re-boot (and you notice that when using a SSD)! On re-start, I disabled 'Muffinwind' (the pub vanished), which seemed to be the root of the problem, repaired the save fileusing Wrye Mash (it seemed to have been corrupted) and went my merry way. A little later, entering the Broken Isles region outside Seyda Neen to continue the 'Hermit' quest, I encountered a 'NiAnimation' error referring a mesh entitled 'Bip01 Pelvis', followed by innumerable related errors. I reinstalled 'Muffinwind', but the same thing happened, possibly indicating that the two errors aren't related (or that I screwed something, somewhere). I can't find 'Bip01 Pelvis', even in my back-up original Data file and my Google searches have revealed absolutely b...... all, so I'm at something greatly resembling a loss, dead end or somewhere else dark and impenetrable... Any ideas, please? My system: Win 7 Pro 64 MSI Z87 GD65 Intel i5 3.3GHz o/c to 4.3GHz Nvidia GTX 660 x 2 (but only one active) 16GB fast RAM Edit: I've been checking back, but no-one seems even to have looked at this post, so I've given up and gone back to basics with an absolutely clean install (and I do mean clean - all registry entried cleared). All fine - until the quagmire that represents Morrowing moddind caught me yet again! This time, with a new installation of Morrowind Overhaul and a number of (I thought trusted) mods, I started getting errors when running MGE (tx_cicle.dds and four others missing). I searched my system, scanned the discs, even unpacked and searchedevery single mod I'm using (and a few that I'm not) and I'm utterly convinced that tx_cicle.dds (or any of the others) exist anywhere on my system. So where did these reference come from? It's even more galling because the first run of the MO installation process (including MGE) with ALL the mods installed went perfectly normallly! See what I mean? It's like tap-dancing on quicksand! Looks as if it's yet another re-install...
