  1. You have a mod that's loading after your Bashed Patch. Not sure what it does, but if it affects level lists and is part of your patch, that might be the issue. Also, I just read the mod page for "Crimson Tide" and many people are talking about now getting crashes since the mod is out of date. Huge caveat being there appears to be no safe way of removing this mod and retaining any saved games. Ouch. Look into that. :(

  2. Hmmm. I thought the rule of thumb is that Bash Patches load last. Try changing moving it above your Bashed Patch unless that mod author said it should go dead last after that. Other than that, I can't see anything much about your load order. Double check compatibility for anything that affects cities.

  3. If you a do a search for BOSS (Better Oblivion Sorting Software- works for Skyrim) on Nexus, you will be directed to the page. There are tutorials on YouTube for installing it. Once you download and run it, you can use it to sort your load order. Who knows, maybe that may even fix your crashing issues just by having a diff load order.

  4. Inevitably you'll be asked for your load order from BOSS. Just get that together now and more people can read through it and possibly help. I know you said you were crashing before all of that. People will say you have to clean with TESVedit blah blah blah. Also, post your Papyrus log if possible. Happy hunting!

  5. I do have a question about your Cloaks & Winter is Coming mods. Are all the mods from those two types listed above active? If so, you will 100% get CTD in Windhelm because WIC will put their cloaks on the NPCs there. In my game I have Cloaks, WIC Cloaks Patch & WIC Cloaks active. If you're unsure of which of those you can/cannot use, revisit the WIC description page and it lists it all out.

    Other than that, I've got nothing else. I fail at reading Papyrus logs.

  6. Find these lines in your ini and delete them:

    rUIMistMenu_AmbientZPosRGB=0,0,0
    rUIMistMenu_AmbientZNegRGB=0,0,0
    rUIMistMenu_AmbientYPosRGB=0,0,0
    rUIMistMenu_AmbientYNegRGB=0,0,0
    rUIMistMenu_AmbientXPosRGB=0,0,0
    rUIMistMenu_AmbientXNegRGB=0,0,0

    They may not necessarily be in your normal Skyrim ini, they might be in an ini added by a mod. So also check your data folder. For me it was in my Hearthfire ini generated by the game - which was in my data folder. Anywho, deleting these lines should fix your problem.

    Key: Check EVERY ini file you have for it

    Happy hunting!

  7. #1 thing to stand out is that your bashed patch is loading before a whole group of mods. It's quite possible that the ones loading below the bashed patch are dependent on the actual esp's loading ahead of it. Change that load order and rebuild your patch. Rebuilding may not be necessary if you haven't added anything new, but just as a precaution it's a good idea. Also, when in Wrye bash, make sure all of your mods show up as green in color.

  8. I had this problem recently as well. It drove me crazy but I saw this fix in a forum and it worked for me. It calls for you to edit your Skyrim.ini file.

    Your ini likely looks like this:

    [Archive]
    sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa
    sResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa

    Move Skyrim-Sounds.bsa from SResourceArchiveList=Skyrim to the second line sResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim after Skyrim-VoicesExtra.bsa

    So when you're done it will look like:

    [Archive]
    sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa
    sResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa

    Good luck.

    P.S. If you're not using any of Bethesda's Hi Res packs then those won't show up in your ini file. Nothing to be worried about if you don't see them there.

  9. To me, the Thalmor are the Nazis of Tamriel. Or like the aliens from various movies that go from planet to planet using up all the resources and killing all the inhabitants. Nord or no, I couldn't side with the Empire because of their affiliation with the blasted Thalmor. However, the Stormcloaks have some serious xenophobia. You'll have to decide which is the lesser of two evils. Nazi or Xenophobe.

  10. (1) After you kill the first dragon, if you don't run off immediately there is an informative conversation that takes place between the guards. They can't believe they've seen a dragon and one even remarks that dragons are coming back for the first time since "forever". Additionally, all of the dragons are dormant in dragon mounds and when Alduin returns you can see him going to each mound and resurrecting them - hence the mission with Delphine in Kynesgrove where you see Alduin telling the dragon to wake up.

    (2) If you want fewer dragons and more intense battles, I recommend Deadly Dragons and Dragon Combat Overhaul. Those two together will make dragon fights much more interesting. Deadly Dragons comes with a customizable timer, difficulty scale and attack types. Dragon Combat Overhaul changes the behavior of dragons to be more tactical in their attack patterns.

  11. I ran the game a week ago without any of those "unofficial" patches, all DLCs and dragon souls absorbed perfectly fine. There are a few known mods that are causing the issue (ex: Dragon Soul Absorb more Glorious and Dragons Diversified). Double check your mod list for any mods that would affect dragons.

    If you have no offending mods, then I would try the Unofficial Skyrim Patch for the main game and the DLCs. That should hopefully fix your issue assuming it's base game related and not mod related.

    Good luck!

  12. I'm glad someone else posted about this. I'm having the same issue. I can play for 3-5 hours and everything is fine, but when I attempt to fast travel to a city I get the loading screen with the icon and flash message, but then when it goes to a black screen just before area loads, it just stays on the black screen. I can hear the sounds of the city, but it never loads. When I go to task manager, it says Skyrim is not responding.

    My computer is a brand new build i7, 8G RAM w/ GTX 670 4G card. So, I highly doubt I have a hardware issue. I also use BOSS and Wyre Bash, so I'm less inclined to think it's a load order issue. Before installing all of my mods I did EXTENSIVE research into compatability, read forum posts from users to see if many are having problems etc. I have a few mods similar to the OP:

    Apachii Hair

    Spike

    Static Mesh Improvement Mod

    SkyUI

    Adal Matar

    The Domain

    Apocalypse

    FNIS Spells

    Auto Unequip Ammo

    Guard Dialog Overhaul

    The Dance of Death

    WATER

    This problem has been making me so crazy. Unfortunately, I'm at work now so I can't post my full mod list but will later when I get home in the hopes someone can help.
