Can't say I'm a big fan of it myself. For starters, the main content is too narrow and center-oriented. The larger buttons are distracting and for me it's hard to stay focused on any main content on the screen.I'd prefer the older text buttons, or smaller ones at least. If the content were made smaller and not so obnoxiously large it'd have a much cleaner, neater feel and it would be much better to use. Or just give us a theme style choice, I'd love that. Edit: Now that I look it over again it looks as though it were made with Artisteer. Please, please tidy the new theme up.

Must be a Vista/Win7 user. ;D

Can't help you if you don't tell us anything. My semi-dated computer runs this fine.

C:\Documents and Settings\(Your account name)\My Documents\My Games Try deleting the Oblivion folder then start the game again. :)

Hmmm... any decent archery mods out there?
Reiel replied to shaklee1's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Sounds like a great immersion mod for archery. Makes archery even more realistic than it is in the game. :-) Thanks! Mhhm, it also works flawlessly with custom archery items. -
For the most compatibility with your game it'd probably be best to use Oblivion Face Exchange Lite: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7808 This will allow you to just load a face from someone else and put it on a pre-existing saved character you have.

http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/514-duke-patricks-combat-archery-32/ Best archery mod period. His SCA Combat mod is great too. :) -
Straight out of the dungeon and using nGCD with nothing but minor skills, my lovely little Chocolate Elf was sorta screwed. So I took advantage of CraftyBits and made a bow and fletched some arrows. I preyed on small animals and passive wildlife, running them down and putting arrows through their heads. Not story time, my bad. With OOO you'll be fine as long as you don't go fighting trolls.

This has got to be it. Agreed.

Go treasure hunting. ;)

And holy hell, that actually works for me. :P Thanks Docum!

No, it doesn't touch leveled lists... that's my next little side project to be released for testing. (leveled list adjustment to make everything available at level 1, but have a specific amount of difficulty that goes with it regardless of level) As for why you aren't taking much damage, what kind of equipment and spells are you using? Changing the multiplier probably won't help you much either if you're heavily protected since you'll still be blocking most of it while you're still doing even more damage. The only way to make just NPCs and creatures deal more melee damage is to adjust them directly. Just did a test, I took off all my armor and let them try and beat on my incredibly weak character that's nothing but a novice in well, everything. A guards power attack did only twelve damage to me while my broadsword hits took a third of their health. Mod incompatibility maybe? Would look that way. What weapon are you using? *edit* Also, guards are typically bad things to test against since they're more persistent actors. For testing damage, your best bet is actually to go seek out a goblin cave somewhere you havn't been yet or hop through an Oblivion Gate. Was using a broadsword from the Realswords compilation, but, it said it only did 4 damage with my character.

I'll try this, but, I'm a bit wary of it because it sounds mostly like it modifies leveled lists stuff, which, I think OOO removes or changes alot of? I'll give it a shot and edit this post with the results. Okay! Kinda funny, with your mod I take virtually no damage and deal a bit more to NPCs. :P Sorry, not what I'm looking for. I'll try and do that damage multiplier now.
-
Oddly enough I don't really see that damage multiplier. Could be a problem with my load order maybe? Either way, I'll take a look at that damage multiplier and use it if Ranokoa doesn't respond soon - I'd hate for him to waste his time.
-
Appreciate the offer Ranokoa! I was thinking making all weapons 250% stronger, quite frankly, I'm tired of getting slashed and laughing about it. :P Is there a way to make this apply to custom weapons also?
-
Okay, I'm having some trouble tracking down a mod that does what I want. I want a mod that will make weapons deadlier to use even for unskilled characters/NPCs, make the damage less reliant on strength and skill. I vaguely remember having a mod that adjusted weapon damage, even for custom weapons, but, I'm having no luck finding the mod or any that are similiar. Currently for battle mechanics I am using Deadly Reflex and Unnecessary Violence, I am also using Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul. Any ideas or assistance would be appreciated. :D
-
You don't have to use the massive ones, I use the D-cup from the HGEC mod.
-
Woops, in LTD Overhaul it does, sorry. :P

she doesn't supply a second cure. and you can only get vampirism a second time by using mods or the console but a second cure is found in the Spa of the Vile Lair (official DLC) So, you're saying that after that quest, you can't catch Vampiric cooties again? Go find a vampire to fight, small chance you'll catch porphyric hemophilia.
-
It's probably minor, it happens. If it's not specific about what happened I'd guess it was flooding you with requests because at some point your computer wasn't responding. Things happen, you'll be fine.

I still play Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion. All day, every day. No exceptions.
-
Yeah, I do. But screw planning, playing Oblivion, in and of itself, is roleplaying. You just have to pretend that the NPC's make a mental idea of what they think of you.
