Will we see any updates to the other mods? Finishing Doc Friday voicing, etc?
No. I'm not touching them. Sorry, but my sights are set on FO4. The best-case scenario is that I release a small mod before November 10th.
What you need is someone that would take over and you being like a consultant or something. You know? Like George Lucas kind of does on Star Wars.

I'm not sure if this mod exists, although I feel like I might've seen it while looking for other mods.
A mod that makes these barrels hollow, rather than a solid cylinder.

Detailed Collisions had hollow barrels meshes in the FOMOD version of the mod. That's all I could find.

I can see your problem. You've saved your .dds in DXT3, while you should be saving them in DXT5. That's all.

There was this one mod I saw that changed the shape and textures of ghoul NPCs (not ferals) to look more gaunt and dark, with pronounced, hollow cheekbones. I can't find it at all- was it taken down?
The only mods I can think of are HQ Professional Head Models and Fallout Characters Overhaul. I hope it is what you're looking for.

The only other thing I can suggest is opening the cell in GECK and seeing if there's some kind of navmesh error or something causing it to happen. Sorry :/

Hmm, open the console and click him so his name appears then enter these commands in this order without closing the console...
kill
resurrect
disable
enable
Close the console and see if it fixes the issue.
Tried that already. Not working.

Ever since the game has been patched, the 188's Forecaster is now hovering above the ground.

Not only it does that when he's sitting, but also when he's asleep and it's getting a tad annoying. Does anyone know what can cause the issue and how I can fix it?

I tried to kill it off replacing the ambient sound files by "silence" files. Something didn't work well as the NPCs had no audible dialogues anymore and my game CTD'ed. I must have did something wrong somewhere, I've never tried it again though.

Is anyone going to finish this now that Someguy quit? I'd still love to play this mod!
He didn't quit, he only put things on stand-by. We should give him some time and maybe he'll come back to finish his work. It is not like he had a huge team to back him up.

Quite some time ago, I recall seeing a mod which would allow the player to designate a custom location for companions to return to upon being dismissed.
Can't seem to find it now. Any thoughts?
That would be the Follower Home Maker mod, but you must get the Lucky 38 suite before being able to send your companions to a custom location because, otherwise, they'll teleport at the Lucky 38 suite.

Alright, I've been thinkering with the GECK lately and I think I've found the *best* way to prevent NPCs from picking up items. Here how it goes:
- No A.I. Acquire never seems to work on items as my NPCs keep picking them.
- Ignored by Sanbox can't work alone as the item needs to be checked as a persistent reference. Otherwise NPCs will still pick up items.
Therefore, the best way to prevent NPCs from picking up items would be to check both Persistent Reference and Ignored by Sandbox, so this way the NPC will ignore the item in question. You won't even need to create a RefID to do so. Might sound like a lot of work, but NPCs will no longer pillage food display and such. That's all.

I used to have a retexture of the opening slides for New Vegas, but I cannot remember which pack they were from. I remember that this had the Bethesda or Obsidian logo on it, another was this, fairly sure it had the Obsidian logo, and I believe this was the final slide before the main menu. Thanks in advance! :smile:

Hi,
Just curious: I returned to that camp just north-west of Goodsprings - the one with the Burned Corpses, the one that has three tents around a campfire, and a shortcut down to the valley below - and for some reason the Burned Corpses were alive and walking around! They were hostile and attacked me, though died very easily.
Has this happened to anyone else??
Just the game's developers who forgot to uncheck the "respawn" option for those NPCs. You can fix it, if you're good enough with the GECK.

I'll be making one but for Roberts as it's a better more high poly model
I'm sorry but, I don't like using Roberts. I prefer to use Breezes since it basically use the same texture template as the vanilla body, which makes it easier to adapt armor based on the vanilla template.

If anyone else beside Higgs want to try their luck at texturing, here's a picture of the Type3 raider skin to show what I'm talking about:

Anyway, having a Breezes version of that skin texture will probably help in keeping a sense of similarity between the female and male raiders. What do you guys think?

I knew about that one already. But, the skin tone doesn't match the other breezes skins and the tattoo are still a bit visible.
What I want is something that would be close to, let see, the Type3 raider texture. So the skin would be more matchable for both female and male raiders.

Hello modders.
This is a request for a tattoo-less raider skin for the Breezes body. I hate how the current Breezes raider skin had tattoos and a skin type that doesn't even fit with the other Breezes skins. What I'm looking for is a skin replacer that would look closer to the vanilla raider skin, but "fully functional" if you get what I mean. I'm tired of seeing how every male NPCs of the raider races seems to have visited the same tattoo parlor and make the game kind of lore-breaking. So, if anyone who has the time (and talent) to create a nude-replacer of the Breezes raider skin, I'll be very grateful and I'm sure that some other mod users like me will be as well. So please, let's hope that there's a modders out there willing to grant such a request.

Replace the items ownership by a faction rather that a NPC. That way, they won't sell any displayed items. That's what I did and it worked and that, even if Chet belong to the Goodsprings faction. NPC won't sell items that doesn't belong to them individually.
I thought so. Would it mean that any npc can take items on display though?
Then, you should check the items as "ignored by sandbox" or "no AI acquire"... I don't know which once work so I always check both and I don't see NPC picking up any of these items.

The next story happened when I've bought the game on its release day. It was for PlayStation 3 and prior to get the first (of a long series) of patches.
Anyway, I made the mistake of completing the Don't Make a Beggar of Me quest *before* the Oh My Papa quest. Therefore, when I needed Melissa's trust in order to prevent the Khans from allying with Caesar, I couldn't find her because I've already fulfilled the Beggar quest. Which meant that completing the quest through diplomacy was not longer do-able, so I didn't have much choice than to wait for Papa Khan to get in bed and kill him in his sleep, which wasn't a quite successful feat. It may have been a bit messy, but I didn't got caught by other Khans and I could get Regis to take over the faction.
Nowadays, that quest has been patched to have Melissa stay at her encampment whether you've fulfilled the Beggar quest or not. But, when I look back on it now, it wasn't one of my greatest feat. At least, buying the game on launch day has gotten me this sweet New Vegas promotional t-shirt featuring the NCR flag. 'Nuff said.

Hi, I'm looking for a mod that I installed a while ago. It added a bunch of new clothing such as panchos and bandanas all in crates in the back of a truck in goodsprings. Im fairly sure the esp is named 1nivVSLAarmors, but the esp seems to be corrupt now.

you can disable the cinematic kill cam in your gameplay settings in the menu. :)
He's talking about disabling the *companion* kill cam. He's fine with the cinematic kill cam as a player.

I don't know if I'm the only one here, but I really don't like the tinted lenses of the black-rimmed glasses. Therefore, I'm asking if one of you can make a replacer with clear lenses, just like the eyeglasses have. That would be great. Thank you.
