  1. I'm looking for a mod that'll improve or remove the glowy aura of flesh Alteration spells. I hate having put the time and memory space into hi-res armors be covered up by that effect of those armor spells. Thanks guys.
  2. Two Towers and RotK were better than the Fellowship soundtrack but they are very similar - repeating alot of the same themes and melodies. If you're going to go out and buy the CD's, I'd say it's worth it only if you want *more* (of the same). Will definitely try out the new Nightwish album, Notmyhome, I'm a big fan and even shook hands with Jukko and Marco when they toured America. Coincidentally, I listened to Century Child and End of an Era after I posted and started playing. Haven't heard any of their new stuff after Dark Passion Play. Heard they got a new singer. Thanks man! I feel terrible for not keeping up with their recent material.
  3. Hey guys, big fan of the Nexus but new to these forums. Forgive me if this is not in the right sub-forum. I'd like to hear what ya'll like to listen to when ya'll play Skyrim to set the atmosphere. Lately I've been doing the Lord of the Rings soundtrack and going through all three movies is about one play session for me. I *love* the Gladiator soundtrack but it's too short -- it'll loop three or four times before I'm tired of playing Skyrim. Can ya'll post some of the stuff ya'll listen to when ya'll play? 3 things I am particularly interested in finding: Proper mood. I love rap and country but neither of these really fit Skyrim. I'm not sure how to describe the mood, but Gladiator and LotR are spot on, I think. Low lyrical emphasis. I have the Voice selector in the Audio settings turned up all the way and I don't wanna have struggle to hear a Quest-giver over someone singing. Some lyrics now and then aren't bad, just less than normal pop music. Chill tempo most of the time. I'm a big fan of double-bass metal and it's great for dragon fights (Amon Amarth really gets you into the roleplay of a Nord), but there's alot of chill time in my playstyle, smithing, exploring/wandering, sneaking and hunting deer. Constantly high-tempo pounding isn't really what I'm looking for either. Thank you all, community! Really I'm willing to listen to all suggestions! Thanks.
  4. Thanks for the quick response EgoAltar! Installing both now. Smiley Face!
  5. Hey Tigger, I actually had the same thing in mind for my play-style and I'm trying out Dynamic Difficulty by mod author vivanto. What makes bandits tough, imo, is getting one-shotted by a Chieftain with a warhammer power attack. Dynamic Difficulty lets you cap the maximum damage dealt to the PC. I'm trying the mod out and set this to a % of my character's total HP. Then I'm increasing the in-game difficulty which either raises enemy HP or reduces damage dealt by the player so that wilderness beasts won't be a push-over and I can generally have longer battles. If you're already playing at Master difficulty, there's another setting in Dynamic Difficulty that let's you cap damage dealt by the PC. Leveled bandit chieftains and dragons are heavily armored so I don't think you'll ever bump into the cap when fighting against them, but critters and drauger should take a few more swings before going down. Hey let me know your experience. Like I said I'm trying the mod out too.
  6. Hi guys, I have two mods in mind that I do not remember the names of: 1. Gameplay mod that let you take control of NPCs and let you play as if you were that character. 2. A mod featured on Gamespots Top 5 Mods of the Week that integrated your saved games so that you could play as one of your characters in another's gameworld. It had a circular room that allowed you to display all your saved characters on mannequins or pedestals. I am trying to play a game where I have my own Dragonborn as my follower. Thanks!
