  1. thanks for the heads up ill talk to evga
  2. Its an EVGA card... do you not trust precision? O.o?
  3. No the crazy part was i was only going to push it to medium-high settings... Idk if you guys would call that... overkill for this GTX... should i max out because right now my gt 520 i have installed is doing low settings with a max of 30 fps  ... but i don't think the GTX 570 will recognize the program is running at low settings... its way too overkill... like buying a GTX 250 to play Starcraft 1... anyways I'm not sure if i should keep it stock settings and just play maxed or if i can get 60fps average out of my oc... or i could just play at low settings and have 300 fps  ... ahah anyways if i can get an average of 60fps with 75* c or lower temps ill be happy... Just btw I'm upgrading from AMD Athlon ii x2 250 to AMD phenom ii x4 965 BE and gt 520 to GTX 570 sooooo will this be enough power to make at least 30 fps maxed?
  4. This may seem stupid but actually I'm only overclocking it for maximum frame rate.. i only want to play Skyrim or Arkham City at high max.. maybe medium... do you think that my card will do better under more stressful loads and that my frame rate per pixel will be higher if i maxed out?
  5. Thanks so much for the response  .... now quick question if i use my EVGA Precision tool and increase the voltage amount will it void my warranty? and will my manufacturers warranty even cover a melted GPU? I don't intend on SOC just a 30% or so with a small voltage increase
  6. I have just recently purchased a gtx 570 graphics card and asked questions about it in another post... btw thanks to the guys that responded very helpful  ... ANYWAYS could someone tell me how hot this card will run under max load but full fan speed? mind you this is a double shot not a single fan card.. however its in a mid-tower and even though its a bigger case its still only mid... I am not comfortable with temperatures above 75* C... so 1 how hot will my double shot run under max load but max fan 2 how can i get it cooler without compromising the max load and 3 will i be able to overclock this without reaching above 75* c? thanks for the responses :D
  7. I appreciate the replies guys  ... see sometimes things on paper are not what they are when you get them... I'm glad to say then that Nvidia is not one of those people... my gt 520 looks at medium settings with no aa or af like :hurr: ... which can be annoying :wallbash: ... i think ill keep skyrim on medium with this new card so i can max fps... but its nice to know the new card will look at medium like :whistling:  ... can any of you fellas answer what the average max load temp for the 570 HD Double Shot... which is what i got.... mind you my case is small enough that i will have to move a hard drive to get it fitting  ... so please count in the double fans but the small space... its a mid tower.... and Nvidia's nearly biggest card... 10-11 inches long
  8. I have a gt 520 and Athlon II x2 250... in other words i have a 60$ graphics card and a processor half as good lol .... So in about a week I will have upgraded to a gtx 570 and a Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition ;) and i would like to know how hard i can run skyrim... now with my old equipment i could push low everything with no aa or af and get around an average of 30 fps  ... I know nvidia claims the gtx 570 can do avg of 44 with maxed out settings, but can i actually do that? is that the real world average and is the phenom ii x4 965 BE good enough to get rid of my bottleneck? Response is appreciated thanks guys :D
  9. Oh thanks... I thought shadows were a graphics process... i guess its different rendering in 3ds max than it is real time xD... are not particles also a cpu process? and does skyrim have a variable for particles
  10. Yes... all other programs are closed and i am no noob to graphics cards and computers... what i am new to is processors... i replaced my 9500 gt with this 520 gt.. so if you can handle it with a better proc than i guess i will be able to... now the highest i can upgrade this mobo is a AMD ATHLON XII x4 645... which is quad core at 3.1ghz.. is this going to be enough to run on medium... keep in mind i want to pear it with a single gtx 570... which is overkill for medium but who cares xD... also i want to do 3D so is 3.1 quad enough for 3d at medium
  11. Okay now most of you people are boasting a gtx card and an i7 proc... not me. i dont have the money for that yet... so I have a 520 gt and an amd athlon x2 250 I was thinking that the graphics in some places were sinking in fps so i decided to get a new graphics card and monitor in july... but then i looked at task manager and it says that my cpu is the one bottlenecking... now what can be taking up all my cpu i know its a lower end cpu but my specs are Skyrim: low setting, no AA, all settings low besides textures which are on high Cpu: 100% on both cores at 3.4ghz resolution: lower than my monitor, 1024 \ 768 Now i am getting a new graphs no doubt about it... maybe a gtx 570... im not planning on maxing the settings just playing the game... now do i NEED the new cpu or is there some way to dumb down the hit on my proc
