Game wont launch You might have to add the games exe to the Nvidia video control panel, right click on your desktop a long rectangle context menu should appear , see picture below , on the long rectangle context menu left mouse click on Nvidia control panel and look for the tab called program settings, there should be a add button click it and browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\deus ex - human revolution\dxhr click onto the dxhr and add it, you might also need to use "use global setting[integrated graphic] " located on the same tab below where you added the games exe see 2nd pic below I keep a desktop shortcut of the games exe on my desktop to launch the game dxhr - Shortcut and you might have to use Alt-enter to get the game in full screen from it's corner location, I only had to do it once only and after it launched fully on it's own!.. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z383/Craigsters/menu.jpg http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z383/Craigsters/programsettings.jpg Audio stuttering during tutorial or cut scenes Stuttering sound during tutorial turn off SSAO launch the game and go to options and video and advance tab to turn off SSAO All this I learned at a a steam forum thread called Deus Ex Human Revolution Won't Launch!! see post #33 by yangmungi on page 3 It took me five hours last night to get the game to launch, I followed the advice in every post and post #33 was the one that helped in the link above the game requires directx 9.oc and you may have to browse install it to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\deus ex - human revolution folder, I had directX 11 and it wouldn't work with the game in tell I removed it and went with directx 9.0c

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Augmented Edition
sinnerman69 replied to sinnerman69's topic in PC Gaming
So I don't waste anymore money at steam on Deus Ex, it's my understanding that Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Augmented Edition is the five pre-order DLC's included in it? although steam only has two of them sold separately, one to do with unlocking a double barreled shoot gun and silenced sniper rifle and the other is to do with explosives I'll look under tools in the game menu once Deus Ex finishes installing -
I avoid community made patches because they cause more trouble for me then what there supposed to fix, if you keep a minimal mod list and avoid certain mods you won't have troubles I run ten mods and that's it, I used to run over 60 mods when playing Fallout 3 and NV and had tons of CTD's I most of conditioned myself to CTD's , you've got to ask yourself is that hair mod or nude skin worth it and how often well I see it and well it cause interference in the games functioning or interfere with other mods is it worth the headache? I never run more then one clothes mod and player made home at a time to avoid problem's # This file is used by Skyrim to keep track of your downloaded content. # Please do not modify this file. Dawnguard.esm Conjuration & Summoning fixes.esp <-- this surprisingly fixed conjuration issues for me dbmisc.esp <-----------moves annoying dark brotherhood forever quest to misc menu BarenziahQuestMarkers.esp GriptzionTeleportMenuSpellv3.1.esp Dawnguard Breezehome Fix.esp <---- adds the alchemy lab to breezehome that dawnguard busted JiubQuestMarkers.esp Reduced Distance NPC Greetings.esp hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp <----Immersive Armors LevelersTower.esp

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Augmented Edition
sinnerman69 replied to sinnerman69's topic in PC Gaming
ok found Deus Ex Human Revolution: The Missing Link and it had the $3.74 price you mentioned and I purchased it, hope it was the one you meant? I only seen the regular and Augmented Edition earlier on and didn't scroll far enough to see DE collection thinking the others below where gaming console versions amazon.com has it $39 and amazon.ca doesn't even have it in stock http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z383/Craigsters/amazon.jpg -
If you where in Beast form they well be hostile, but if you where in human mod and your using mods it may be a mod causing the issue Psychic parrot time could you please list all mods you may use so others can pin point the troublesome mod

oblivion game of the year, I'm thinking of buying it
sinnerman69 replied to sinnerman69's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
I have bad eye sight and big fingers and I've used joysticks going back to the first nintendo, atari and saga genesis gaming console and then when I started playing PC games I used either the xbox for windows controller or the logitech PS3 game controller for windows!.. I'm in my forty's and old habits are hard to break  -
Some mods require skse to work properly, if you keep a url shortcut to all mods you may use read the description page carefully in case the mod requires skse to work, and some mods require script dragon but I haven't downloaded anything yet that requires script dragon!.. Usually the description page from the mod well indicate if skse is needed skse can be found here Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE)

Right now I'm playing skyrim and dawnguard, but I've heard a lot of talk about oblivion, is it any good or just as good? are the characters about the same size on screen like in Skyrim, I don't like when the character is tiny on screen like in god of war 2 Are there any youtube videos longer then the official trailer to give me a ideal of what to expect, maybe a Machinima video showing a dramatic battle, they posted a awesome 12 minute dawnguard final battle scene video on the skyrim boards a few weeks ago Is the on screen menu awkward and something like SkyUI mod may be needed to make it PC friendly And my final question and it's important, does oblivion work with the Xbox controller for Windows USB cord one? I never use the keyboard to play video games

Forsworn , I thought they where more like remnants of the Manson Family ? they found a time travel machine to escaped future justice

All textures, meshes and scripts go in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\data folder skse [script extender] out the data folder beside the games exe and launcher
-
Some mods are made with huge textures and or large files and could cause bad lag and then there are mods that aren't exactly clean and only a person who knows how to use sk or another modding program for the game can determine if the mod is dirty, badly put together, I remember reading the mod comment boards for Fallout 3 and NV and people reporting back that the mod was dirty and needed cleaning up and that they checked it in the geck

Did you add the line to bEnableFileSelection=1 to your skyrimprefs located in mydocuments/mygame/skyrim/skyrimprefs that line makes mods appear in game proper add it under [Launcher] It should look like this by default it's set to 0 and need's too be changed to 1 in order for mods to show in game properly [Launcher] bEnableFileSelection=1
