I'm not a modder, but that would be an interesting idea to see in-game. I imagine this type of weapon would be created by dwemer since it will involve mechanical structure. :)

I also had the same problem. I downloaded the new version (now is 0.46), uninstalled the previous one, installed this version and everything worked perfect. When you uninstall, you will be asked if you want to remove your mods and settings; just press No.
