Hey all, Skyrim is probably one of my favorite games to play. I have played Skyrim for over a year now, and have undoubtebly put in over 1000 hours of gameplay. It has been a great game for me. It has been a great way to unwind from a busy day and just simply enjoy the world and kill a few dragons :) But with this said, I see my interest in Skyrim fading. Something that has been happening more and more as I have played it, which brings me to the topic of discussion: What can I do to enhance my experience? I know of some mods that overhaul certain aspects of Skyrim, but I have been hesistant to this point to try them. I have however, used a few combat mods. Probably my favorite mods are those that add craftable, lore-friendly materials to the game. I'm all about immersion, so the fact that weapons/armor are lore-friendly is a big deal to me. Now that you know a little how I like to play Skyrim, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me some advice on how to re-establish my enthusiasm for this great game. Thank you!

Alright thanks for the information. If it was your preference, would you choose a preset ENB off Nexus or use the ENB customizer?

I am just curious if one can remove shadows from skyrim without it conflicting with ENB. I have a mid-rang PC that cannot handle the higher quality shadows/effects of an ENB, but with assist from Hialgo's mod, I think I should be able to run a basic ENB.

When starting mods, it is important to note and understand if mods conflict with each other. Some authors will post if certain similiar mods conflict, other times you may have to figure this out. The easiest way to see this is by using tools such as BOSS/Wyre Bash/TES5Edit BOSS will create a load order for your mods that will help avoid possible conflicts. Wyre Bash is another mod manager similiar to NMM, but can also be used to manage .ini files and saves. TES5Edit is a useful tool that can help you resolve problems once found. This could be between certain master files of the game and a mod or two mods conflicting with each other. At the end of the day, these are all just tools to help you clean up your mod managing; although they can help resolve problems, none of them are a 100% fix. Looking at the mods you described in your post, body mods such as CBBE/UNP/BBP will be incompatible with each other. Use only one. Better females and pretty faces are also likely incompatible because they modify similiar aspects of the game. When you remove this mods, make sure you remove all files, or deleted mod fragments can continue to cause problems in Skyrim such as CTD's/Freezing. I hope this information aids you in your modding experience.

Hey all, about a week ago I received some help from a fellow forum member who helped me solve many of my technical issues running skyrim. One thing they recommended was to use Tes5Edit to determine the load order of mods no recognized by BOSS. I understand some of TES5edit, mostly just cleaning mods and masterfiles, but I wasn't sure on how to do this. Does anyone know?

Yeah it is running better. One quick question, though. How do you us Tes5Edit to determine load order?

I'm running 32 bit on windows 7. I actually have a ton of ram! I have 8GB in total.

I am using Boss. I can post a load order if that would be helpful. I am also using Wyre Bash, but I haven't used it to merge any files, only to manage/organize them.

Hey everyone, I recently reinstalled skyrim and a handful of mods. Since I have started, my game has run perfectly...other than a few random freezes. Freezing/CTDs often end my play rather than my own conscious desire. This is something that I want to clear up. I am not sure if it is due to conflicting mods or not. To me it does not seem so because the freezes either happen in the open world or as I enter a new enviornment, such as opening a door to enter a house. Here is some background information that might be helpful: Running: Windows 7 Skyrim 1.8 with Dawnguard DLC SkyRe(Skyrim Script Extender) 1.6 Note: After going through my mods, I noticed some redundance between my Nexus and Steam mods. I'm guessing this could have been a source to my problem. I also noticed that some of my nexus mods are out of date. I have not updated many of them, due to laziness and the question if this is a viable concern. Hey all, I installed Warzones on skyrim just a few days ago, and since then I have been experiencing a peculiar problem. While in the warzones, my game runs flawlessly. That is until all of a sudden my game freezes with no warning whatsover. Any suggestions or insight would be appreciated. Thanks!
