  1. You'd need a new frame, or maybe even an invisible frame. The pieces themselves would have to be revealing. Alternatively you keep the armour fully enclosing but make it sexy. Like the Eldar or Sisters of Battle from 40k.

  2. This mod seems like the sort of thing that would already exist, and if that is the case, please link it here.

This is the simplest solution to the issue of nude vs underwear in body mods. I've never liked the idea of switching between nude and underwear body replacers, and I also don't like every character in the wasteland being naked under their armour. The fact that this mod doesn't already exist is baffling to me, to the point where I think I must have missed it somehow. It's simple really. The mod adds underwear to every characters inventory.

With the way Fallout 4 does equipping items on NPC's, it might not be so simple. It might require an underwear specific armour slot, or some way to auto equip underwear if it's in an NPC's inventory and they'd otherwise be nude. It seems to me like the ideal way to handle it. Would somebody be able to make it?

  3. I've wanted this mod for a very long time, I've been building up a library of mods from other creators to get the gameplay to where I want it, but despite pushing the game to it's RAM limits I can't get the gameplay to feel how I want it to. So I've resolved to make a request here, either for someone else to make it (or a link to a mod that does it if there is one), or for a bunch of guys who are more experienced than I am who can work with me to make it. The idea is simple, but the implementation could be very complex. Ultimately, the mod hinges on three things.

One, remove item and enemy leveling, which I would like to do by setting the item and enemy levels to 20. So regardless of the player level, the enemies and gear is always leveled to 20.

Two, severely alter player leveling (using the existing player leveling alteration mod if possible) to remove all gained HP, Stamina, and Mana. This works with the removal of leveling on gear and enemies, making conflict statistically consistent regardless of level. In order for balance to be achieved, when enemy levels are locked to 20, their health, stamina and mana levels may also need to be locked to a suitable base. Three, remove gear tiers. This is the most important part, and the part I'd like to make first. Everything hinges on this, and I'm fine with the rest of it not happening provided this part is complete. The concept of item tiers annoys me in games, needlessly making most of the content redundant, limiting gameplay depth, removing of choice, and breaking immersion. There is no reason an elven sword should so massively outclass a steel weapon that the latter is worthless. Both can kill a man, and both should kill a man, but in games like Skyrim with hard weapon and armour tiers, there will come a time when that steel sword is useless.

I want weapons and armour to be made up of differences in kind, not differences in scale. Steel should not be objectively better than Iron, simply different. Is this necessarily realistic? In some cases no, but it gives the game that much more depth to be able to make meaningful choices regarding which armour to wear, beyond choosing between light and heavy. For example, an elven weapon may do less damage than a steel weapon, but strike faster. A daedric weapon may boost the power of enchantments placed on it, or sap the souls of its victims, but do less damage overall, or even fuel itself from the player, lowering their health. This would work well in conjunction with the removal of stat increases by level. As a weapon or armour piece granting + or - 10 hp would be a big deal, and something you can build around.

All three concepts are tooled towards giving the player more choices in the game, as well as adding immersion, no more will there be a lowly bandit swinging at you with impunity for five straight minutes. You may be kitted out in dwarven gear, but you are slow, and his knife is still a knife, it can and will kill you.

I've never seen a mod that does what I want to do regarding gear tiers, so I ask, have you found one? And if not, would you make one, or help me make one?

  4. I've been scouting around looking for some appropriate mods, and can't seem to find them anywhere. I think part of that is that damned Sellswords mod, but in general roleplaying mods don't seem to be very common.

In my current playthrough, I'm trying to roleplay as a mercenary, a sellsword. This is rather difficult, as the game assumes the player is an altruistic soul willing to work for free. If I was accurately roleplaying, I'd never have anything to do, because nobody ever offers you money up front except thieves, and my character isn't a thief. I'm giving jobs of skyrim a download for the bodyguard and assassination jobs, and I'm making do with the power of imagination, but if anybody knows of any mercenary or sellsword mods, or would be willing to make one, please let me know. This one is less of a mod request, and more of a "is there already a mod for this?" question, as that damn Sellswords mod makes it impossible to search for it.

On another note, I'd love it if there was a mod out there that changed the way crime works, adventuring can't possibly be legal. You go out and murder people constantly, I've seen crime mods that make detection work differently, but there still don't seem to be any mods where I can be arrested for adventuring. I'm not sure how it would be balanced, or even if it's a good idea, but it doesn't seem right that the players day job is basically murder-drifter and nobody cares. This isn't really a mod request either, as it's probably a terrible idea, but if a mod already exists with similar themes, could somebody link me to it.

This last request is an actual mod request, it'd be difficult, maybe even impossible, but it'd be cool. I want to do a no fast travel playthrough of Skyrim, but the quests are always on the opposite side of the map. I got to thinking after a simple bandit cave quest took four hours of travelling and adventure, mostly due to the frostfall mod, that the location part of the radiant quest system is bullshit. I'd love it if someone could change the way quests work, so that the objective is in a reasonable place. If I drift into whiterun looking for adventuring work, I wouldn't walk all the way to riften for a quest. Especially not when, upon arriving in riften, I recieve a quest near Whiterun. A mod like this would really enhance the Sellsword roleplay experience I'm going for, as it would make the holds feel distant. Travelling to Riften would be a much bigger deal if I'd never left Whiterun hold after the first several hours of gameplay. The map would feel a lot larger if I didn't traipse across it for the simplest of quests. This would take a lot of work, even if the radiant system was moddable. But it'd be great. Much like the other mods on this list, if it already exists, please give me a link.

  5. I know we've seen these a couple of thousand times before, but I'm out of options (other than not using mods, but that's never going to happen). After taking a break from skyrim for about 6 months, I came back and gave a few mods some upgrades, before booting the game up and playing, after the usual "you dared to update a mod, who do you think you are mortal" fixing was out of the way the game ran fine, until combat began.

During combat I get CTD's, and the Papyrus log doesn't have a clue what's causing it, I checked the skyrim monitor, because I thought it might be using too much ram, but I'm not even halfway to the limit. None of the mods I updated should be causing it, the only updates I made were to amidianborns stuff (which I've uninstalled to check, it's not that) and I think one or two miscellaneous mods. Does anybody have any idea why I might be getting CTD's only in combat, and it isn't always instant either, I actually had time to be one shotted by a crossbow one time, and another time I killed all the opponents before crashing, I thought it might be and AI script until that last one happened. I'll post load order and whatnot if you need it, but I don't think it's any one mod, and ditto for the technical specs.

  6. I want to make a mod, but I have literally never modded before, I saw a mod that was exactly what I was after, but it was coded poorly and corrupted my game, after the arduous reinstall process, I still want to use this mod, so I've decided to make it myself, with some tweaks.

The original mod used force av to lower you health, stamina, and magica regen to 0, so that eating and sleeping would raise it by 50% each. As you can imagine, it f*#@ed up immediately. The idea is sound though, so I want to make it. My idea would be to somehow deactivate health and stamina regen (I'd rather leave magica untouched) while still keeping your regen values intact, and then applying half of your regen for having eaten and the other half for having slept. This way, your perks, armour, rings, blessings, etc. still work, but you still need to eat and sleep. How would I begin, keep in mind that the Skyrim Creation Kit is not working very well (I can't resize it, and despite having a massive monitor, it has made itself bigger than my screen) so I'd need help fixing that as well.

    Thanks in advance.

  7. Greetings, my name is Walter C. Dornez. That is one of the single coolest lines of dialogue in Hellsing, and I want to bring that to Skyrim. I want to make Walters Garrote Glove. Its a cloth glove with long, diamond sharp wires stretching out from the fingers. The exact number of wires is likely up for debate on a site somewhere, but the functionality is still the same. I want to make a mod that adds the glove as a new weapon, using the standard magic casting animations and with either a custom or repurposed spell effect. However, I want it to be a weapon, not a spell. I have no idea where to even begin. I could likely make it a spell, but the most complicated mod I've ever made was a custom follower. I just followed a tutorial. Where should I start?
