  1. I have had some mods that totally disappeared without explanation. The names are irrelevant. I have tracked a couple of mods I had for a while that suddenly disappeared to find that one of them was deleted by the author in the English version only. The German, Russian, Polish, Portuguese, and Asian languages were still there and appeared to be supported. Only English went missing, without any information I might add. I have a half a dozen mods that have stopped working or disappeared altogether in the last couple of months. A search of the Nexus reveals nothing. I go to my download history and find the mod: it just says DELETED. Well, I know "I" didn't do it! I would like some answers also.
  2. Thanx. It's working now (1 day later). However, I still get the "no source" warning, and now I get another warning telling me that information is missing which will cause failures in mod updates or adding mods to collections will not work. IDK if I should just ignore it or what.
  3. Since the collections install a few days ago, I am now getting orange warning triangles telling me my mods have no source assigned to them. This is about 80% of my mods this warning appears on. When I try to login to Nexus via Vortex it tells me that action is not possible or that the servers are down. My mods are working at present thankfully, but I hope my game doesn't suffer for this hiccup.
  4. That sounds like you have a skeleton/armor mismatch. If you are using a custom body, make sure the clothing/armor you choose is compatible with it. Of, course I could be wrong.
  5. Since the "upgrade" I have found that Steam wants to sync your files and libraries, so it requires that Steam is running before you start your game. It looks for a "rungame id" and checks it against your .ini files. If one does not have a legit copy of the game, it isn't going to run. A huge PIA to be sure. I start logged into Steam, run FNiS and LOOT, then launch. When the menu appears, I exit the game, exit out of Steam (not logout), and then restart the game. Yes, it sounds like a lot of BS, but this works great for me.
  6. Once you remove the diseases, get and wear the Necklace of Disease Immunity. You won't get any diseases again, and you can fight vampires, afflicted, and chaurus 'till the cows come home with no chance of contracting a disease. Works for me anyway.
  7. I was happily playing SE until one day recently my game connected to Steam, downloaded and installed some stuff, and Viola! Game wouldn't launch. No warning, no correction instructions. So, after two days of Googling and reading forums, I narrowed it down to a revised version of SKSE. Installed that, game started. But wait, more fun. When the main menu appeared there was a large scrolling box showing me all the mods that will no longer function in my game. So when the game finally did start, I chose the load option. The mods were there, but with a series of numbers about 12 to 15 characters long. More fun: needless to say a box pops up on selection and promptly informs me my saves are corrupted and unplayable, and that I should install the correct ones, which I would do IF I knew where the **** they were. This game has become tedious. After seven years I'm done with it. Good luck to the rest of you. Well, I'm an idiot and a liar. I didn't find the saves, but I'm not done with the game either. I have put way too much time into this game just to abandon it. For my own game I have created over 20 followers, customized towns and interiors to suit me, created extra dialogs for my own use, and countless miscellaneous junk I'm not willing to throw in the trash just yet. I finally did get the game to run glitch-free, but for a while I was caught in that void with the SKSE and version updates that seemed to never stop, as were we all. Happy for now anyways.
  8. Nope. Not yet. I just updated and now all of my 1000 saves are corrupted. Every single one of them. The only thing I can do is start a new game. After doing that already six times, I'm not up to it. Funny thing though, my LE game runs great. Go figure.
  9. Look at the dates the files were made. You could take out the older ones, move them (don't delete them) to a temp file or something. When you run LOOT it will check for the correct SKSE version anyway, and tell you if you are using the wrong one.
  10. If you are referring to Skyrim AE borking your game, that can be easily dealt with. Like you, I was met with an unwanted "upgrade" to Skyrim AE, which created CTDs and made it appear my existing SE game was gone. Took me a couple of days, but I found the tools to handle it. I have my game back now and all my mods work. Just a couple of in-game settins to adjust, and my game is back where it was. But I won't go to the trouble of explainig how I did it if you are truly done with Skyrim. Spock: "It is illogical to assume the answer is obvious".
  11. UPDATE: Ok fellas, I got it figured out. It worked for my machine, but I can't garantee it will work for yours. Go to Nexus and download the Patcher (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57618). There are 2 files, one is quick and the other is the full patch. The full patch is the one you want. It is over 3gb, so it will take time to download. Install this outside of your Skyrim folder. I just made a new folder in my root directory(C:\) Then go to Silverlock and download the current build of SKSE64 for SSE and Install it through your mod manager. I use Vortex and it did the job. Otherwise, follow the instructions to the letter. Now go out to your patcher folder and manually run it. If it can't find SSE, you can type it in at the top of the form. It will take a minute to run the patch. When it's finished, you should be able to run your game with no problems. You will have to reset some game options in-game, however. Be sure to run FNiS and LOOT respectively before running the game. Now when you run it there will be no Bethesda Login and no option to install Skyrim AE. Small victory, but a victory nonetheless. Kudos and hats off to the authors of the Patcher! Great job! OK. FORGET ALL THIS JUNK I JUST SAID. ANOTHER NEW UPDATE THIS MORNING AND EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED AGAIN.
  12. Steam did their update. My game don't run. Screen goes black after selecting continue or saved game. I have to reboot my machine to get it back. All I know is I worked long and very hard to get to level 93 (years even) and now I have nothing. Maybe it's time to just stop this ..ah..game? No..chore!
  13. FNiS should be installed in your Skyrim data folder. Installed properly, it will detect and configure any animations in your game. If you use Vortex it will install FNiS for you. Just download it and install it like any other mod. Be sure to download FNiS Behavior files as well. I think the latest version is 7.6 . After this, you must run the utility "Generate FNiS For Users". You will find it in the "tools" sub-folder under FNiS. You MUST run this utility at least once as it sets up FNiS for use on your particular PC for your game. With Vortex you can have FNiS run automatically on startup if you want. It will adjust to any new animations you might have. I find it best to be logged into steam when FNiS starts. You can shut Steam off after running LOOT.
  14. Just remember this: Just because someone smiles, it doesn't mean he's your friend. The big "M" smiles, a lot.
  15. For at least your first start, be logged into Steam. You will need the following if you don't have them: 1) SKSE64 for SSE (When the game starts, Steam will adjust your skyrim.ini accordingly. 2) Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch 3) Set compatability mode to highest OS on the list. 4) Regardless of what anyone else says, you still have to restrict your frame rate to 60 FPS. There have been reports of SSE not working/responding well with Windows11 OS. I don't have it so I can't confirm it.
