  1. Thanks for the reply, I probably didn't word it to well...OCDecorator is still there, it's some of the other categories I skipped over to get there that are missing. I understand what you mean about the workshop menus, and I think that's where I've created my problem. I had a few that seemed to play well together and add the own categories either side of the regular categories like OCD, Commonwealth Pizza, SOE Basement living, as well as SKE which some of the mods would go under. The main one I've noticed missing that I swear added a category is Renovated Furniture. It'd been a while since I'd really used anything other than OCD and I know in that time I've downloaded a few others like Better Stores and Old World Radio so no doubt I've created a mess of the menu somewhere. It sounds like it'll be an afternoon of playing with my load order until things look right again :/
  2. I've just noticed that some of the categories in my workshop have disappeared, how long for I'm not sure as I'd been scrolling straight across to use OCDecorator the last few times I'd entered the menu. I'm able to spawn items from the missing categories using console commands, so they're still in game...but it's a helluva nuisance doing it this way. I'm assuming that a mod I've recently downloaded has changed the structure of the workshop menu. Without going into the detail of listing all my mods, I was wondering if there's a recommended way to sort the issue out. I'm not sure if going back and disabling the plugins one by one to find which one caused it is an option, or whether to play around with my load order of if NMM has some nifty button that can fix it. Any help is much appreciated
  3. Solved it, game and f4se working fine now. If anyone know how to delete this post, go for it.
  4. Firstly, if anyone can offer me some advice or tips that's be great So with the latest update of Fallout causing it's dramas I'd set about trying to make sure I'd done everything I needed before playing. It'd had been a few days so I assumed ( 1st mistake ) that Fallout would've updated through Steam. 1st thing I did was download F4se 1.10.40 - build: 0.6.1 and replace the files of the previous version. Then when going to launch I received an error message about Looks menu, went to Nexus & discovered there was an update, installed that & assumed everything was good to go. âBut :( when launching via F4se I get an error message saying that I'm using Fallout Version 1.10.26 which is of course incompatible with the latest version F4se. Now this is where my limited knowledge, and being a noob is a burden....I've checked steam, and can't find anywhere that mentions I require an update, or anywhere to begin an update. One thing I've noticed when I was replacing the F4se files is that there are 2 files in steamapps/common/Fallout 4 that have been modified in the last few days. 1 is "Fallout4.ccc modified 8/11/17 at 5 am, and the other is CreationKitPrefs modified 12/11/17 at 5:08 am. I also noticed in steamapps/downloading there is a folder "377160" also modified 12/11/7 at 5:08 am âI do know that I accidently launched the creation kit earlier on the 12th, but simply closed it again. âFallout will launch normally (ver 1.10.26) but obviously since I have a later ver of F4se I can't launch it that way or use any mods associated. So I'm stuck with what to do. âShould I go back and install the version of F4se and looks menu that are compatible with my game version and go with the flow until the next update? âOr do I update my version of Fallout, and if yes is there an update button on steam :/ âAnd are the recently modified files I mentioned above anything to do with Fallout not updating, or at least fully? âAny help greatly appreciated. Cheers Another Noob
  5. Bit of a noob so I wanted to check so I don't break anything. Is just a matter of replacing the the 2 .dll and .exe files in my Fallout folder with the updated files from build 0.6.1. Apologies for the dumb question
  6. Thanks for the reply, and I appreciate the detail and the way you've explained it. Im probably a bit guilty of being greedy after transferring from PS4 with it's mod limitations as I have almost 3 times what I could have, but there's just too many awesome mods on here that it's hard to keep the number of them down. It makes perfect sense that there needs to be a limit for everything to still function so I'll need to be a bit more selective with mods, but with your answer I now know there is a way if I really need. I'm way too much of a noob to think about doing something like that now, but down the track I might look into it a bit more. Thanks again for the info.
  7. After loading up my game & having a near stroke upon seeing my character bald, her & her companions all naked, and about 90% of my settlement gone except for a few trees and paintings I noticed pop up msgs listing the mods I'd previously installed since I first started playing (Like the first time you start up a game after installing a mod and you get an alert notifying you) After the game had listed a few of the mods I got a Windows notification saying Fallout had encountered an error and had stopped working. When I went back to NMM I noticed my "active Plugins" was in the red (O.O) and said Fallout wont start...or something similar. So I deactivated a mod that I hadn't used much, and the problem seem to be resolved. So i'm hoping my solution was the correct one for the issue. Anyways....this has made me realize I'm now at the limit of mods I can download  Unless there's some solution other than the drastic action of removing some. So my question...is there a way to consolidate or somehow reduce the number of plugins when you reach this point? Is there some clever folder reshuffling that can be done, or any other methods? Apologies if it is a blatantly dumb question Cheers
  8. Don't know if it helps at all but I could name a few towns that are fairly small that might make it a bit easier to import. Regional/outback kinda places that would probably fit in with the lore.10-20 houses, and a couple of businesses, few odd buildings scattered on the outskirts, small train stations, silos, dams all that sorta stuff
  9. Unless it's something I've simply overlooked ( a high possibility ) I have no clue what day of the week it actually is. I know the time and date, but is it Monday, or Thursday? What if this whole time since leaving the vault I've been washing my threads thinking it's a Sunday night, when in reality it's actually Friday and I should be down at the 3rd rail seeing how many drinks I can down before I get thrown out. So my idea is a basic (I hope) addition stating which day of the week it is. Either on the pip-boy if possible or any other method where you could see it. I thought it'd be a cool little thing to know & maybe come in handy for the roleplayers. You could have a bit of a schedule...certain days to visit settlements, collect rent (if you use the landlord mod) visit the Church on a Sunday, go Raider hunting on Monday, I could go on but you get the drift. So that's my little idea if anyone would like to take it on board  Edit - Sure I could work it out using the calendar on my phone...but immersion and all :)
  10. Mass Pike player home is great (the link instyne49 posted) Large rooms, plenty of space and some basic decorating. I'd also suggest checking out English Country House, Eternal Night - Goodneighbor player home, Relay Tower Bunker Alpha as well as The Bath of Venus (comes with a pool and a couple of ladies) Hope this helps, sorry I was lazy and didn't post links :/
  11. I'm wondering if anyone would consider making me a named cat mod. A simple follower to wander around with would be great (doesn't have to have companion functions), or even if it's just a cat I can craft that'll just laze around my settlement. When my son was younger we had a black cat we named Jinx that became my lil man's best buddy, unfortunately he had to be put down. A few years have passed and he now has a new buddy named Nala, but every so often he mentions how much he misses Jinx. The first time he seen Dogmeat in game he was all "Awwwwwwwwww, you got a pet dog" so it would be absolutely awesome If I could say "Duuuuuuude!!! come and look at this" and show him a black cat named Jinx wandering around the wasteland with me.....or lazing around the settlement. So if anyone has the time & ability to make it, I'd sincerely appreciate it....and be more than happy to shout you a coffee, or lunch (if ya don't eat too much :) Cheers
