Maybe you're just really good at finding your way around? I ended up using a cheat that came with a patch, or I would have torn my hair out!

I poked briefly at Tera when they did open beta. I wasn't terribly impressed. I'll admit to being amused by the idea of a bunny girl tank, but I'm not into anime or korean mmo's enough to get into the game. I haven't tried TOR.

I remember reading in a Morrowind forum once people named their toons stuff like "Ima Moron" so that the NPCs would say "Hello, I'm a moron!"
Me, I used to use my screen name, until I found out it was a huge Mary Sue type thing. Now I just name them something fitting

If you want to post something critical, ask yourself this:
Is it objectively true and is it actually constructive?
"Anime sucks", "I hate MLP", "Sex mods are icky" =NEITHER. The same goes for all the disgusting messages one gets when posting anything that is "different".
I've seen many a mod on Nexus sites that I found to be unsuitable for my setup or just not to my taste. I just pass them by and get on with gaming. If I'm REALLY grossed out, I'll distract myself by looking at pictures of cute things.
There's been a few mods on Skyrim Nexus that me seriously wonder about the mental or emotion health of the creator. But then I just shrug it off and go look at Memebase or I Can Haz Cheezburger :D

Hes obviously a reptilian alien.
I for one welcome our reptilian overlords! :D
Back on subject, I think it happens because he is just in "I R Serious President. This B Serious Business" mode. I love the guy, but yeah.

maybe i will leave this damn country
I'm right there with you if this crap continues. DunmerMaiden and I are discussing Canada.
I know I don't sound very patriotic. There's only so much crap I can handle, though, and the US is pushing the envelope on it.

I don't know why there's isn't more, but if I could do it, I'd whip some up! Because, darn. That is awesome.

The lingual nerve governs taste, moving your tongue, and even your sense of smell somewhat. Damaging it is possible with this, and with tongue piercings as well. That's what I wouldn't risk even a piercing: the percieved 'coolness/sexy factor' isn't worth it to me.

If this is so, then I demand monthly baby showers, darn it :D
"Why does your registry include an Alienware PC, Skyrim, and Starbucks gift cards?"
"I'm raising my kid to be a gamer!"
Seriously, that state is getting more batpoop insane by the day. If this country itself gets any crazier, I'm moving to Canada before it goes all Handmaid's Tale on my butt.

I have very few kudos, and because I don't mod, no endorsements. If I did mod though, I certainly would enjoy them. Overall, I'd rather have negative feedback over nothing. At least then I know I evoked a response beyond 'Meh'.

I like MMOs. I also like Elder Scrolls. Sacrilege! Treason! :P
I'm going to give it a go. If it sucks, I'll go back to playing WoW while I wait for the next TES game.
I don't think it will destroy the Elder Scrolls. If Beth hasn't destroyed the series themselves with all the misses amongst their hits, they never will :D

The really poor choice of words often heard online isn't limited to ones virtual life. There are times at my college/on the shuttle home where people ability speak properly hurts my head. It is not uncommon for today's youth (unfortunately my generation) to use profanity as an adjective or use the word 'like' as a vocabulary booster. There have been some unforgettable cases which rise well above others. I remember on one shuttle ride home there was a woman who was probably 'liking' at 60 likes/minute, and this went on for a good 10-15 minutes. Needless to say it was a painful trip home and I have no idea how anyone could retain a word she actually spoke because the word was used so frequently that it became extremely destructive to the flow of the words.
Oh, gods. This x9000.
I heard someone on tv once where almost every phrase was followed by "Know what I'm sayin'?" I thought "No know what I'm sayin I don't know what I'm sayinf because every other word know what I'm sayin is followed by know what I'm sayin!"
As for the rest, I've been very lucky in games like WoW. I get blasted for making poor choices or whatever, but not yet for being female.

There's tons of stuff I shouldn't even remotely be able to run according to it, but do just fine for me. Then again there's a difference between "Won't run at all" and "It will run, but won't look as pretty/run as smoothly as it should."
-
As long as it doesn't have forced PvP (I like having he option for a PvE server and not being hassled unless I want to be) and no permadeath/other players can steal your stuff, I'm willing to give it a go.

These are all great armors, all very lore friendly. even the ones ported from other games are such that they could conceivably fit in. Nicely done.

I write, when I'm not experiencing writer's block. Back in 2001, I got attacked viciously by someone and I unfortunately let it affect me. They were so nasty in their criticism (they didn't even try to be constructive) that it made me block for almost 4 years. Some people just don't realize how deeply negative (without being constructive) comments can bite. And unfortunately, some do.
There's a lot of mods I don't like. I have a certain style that lends itself better to things that in my mind I can see fitting into the lore without making me think "I might as well be playing a different game." I do keep an open mind and if something outside my normal tastes appeals to me, I try it out. Occasionally I come across a mod that makes me wonder "How in the world is this even allowed on here?" but those are rare and tend to be of the sort that can be triggering (causing negative emotions or memories related to an unpleasant or frightening events or situations in a given person's life) and I don't expect people to live their life around my issues. I give them a polite pass and move on. I don't do anime or JRPGs, so I usually pass those without comment, too. Sure I wish there were more mods suited to my style, but I'm SOL because few people are inclined to create them, and I can't art or mod my way out of a paper bag :P
While i do visit some message boards that are seen as rude or trollish (Don't go to RPGCodex unless you really want to get really mad, really fast) I don't bring that attitude with me here. If I dislike something, or downright detest it, I keep my mouth shut and move on. It isn't worth it to me to get banned over a few words.

I tried out TERA online through their open beta...just not for me, but you might like it. I didn't like the controls, and I just didn't connect with it.
-
I applaud Bethesda for trying to move away from the "Humans With Pointy Ears" trope, but I do know this isn't to everyone's taste. Good results on the second go, keep trying!
-
I like MMOs, but most I've tried kind of suck. I wouldn't do a TES online game if it had a cash shop. I'd rather pay my monthly fee and have full access than get nickle and dimed to death trying to keep up with other players. I imagine though that the same issues that plague WoW will come to plague TES Online eventually. I would hope they would have a separate server for roleplayers, though if you've ever been on Moonguard server on WoW you know how scary that can be :D

This is one of the few areas where I disagree with my fellow Liberals. It's never a thing which should be done lightly, but there are some crimes so horrifying that those who commit them gave up the right to be called a human being in my opinion. They're human by benefit of genes only.

fighting two deathclaw matriarchs with a deathclaw gauntlet was fun....I won finally but it finished off an annual drug supply
I had another cool one this morning. Supermutant threw a grenade at me--and I shot it in VATS and it fell down and exploded at his feet :D

It's even more fun if there are bad guys there.
One time, I eradicated a buttload of raiders that way. We'd all started shooting (as you do), then one of the cars inevitably went WHOOOMPF! I immediately backed away from the parapet (if I could have done "Duck And Cover", I would have shamelessly done so). Then BOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!! and the entire screen literally whited out. Totally Awesome.
Never did find all the bits afterwards.
I've done this. ever so satisfying. the rotten bastards like destruction so much, let's give them some :D

I saw an Eyebot take on a Mr. Gutsy...and win. I would have thought the Mr. Gutsy would win.
Charon and my toon were attacked by a Raider...who tripped/cartwheeled over some rubble as he was charging Charon and died. so far as I could tell, he'd not even been hit yet.
And, I know this one isn't big news but it was the first time I'd seen it:
This morning, I was shooting a deathclaw...and suddenly, he zoomed straight up into the sky! Then he came back down, and we fought a bit, and then he did it again, never to return.
"I must go, my planet needs me!" *zoom*

What is it with Obama's face during speeches?

I was in the Navy, and I don't have the opinion of "if you didn't serve, then you don't get to have an opinion." We ALL get one, like it or not.
And I'm voting for Obama again. Any vote I can steal from Mitt "Flip Flop Back-peddling" Romney, I'll do it.
There's some back-peddling here, too. Anyone here want a backward bicycle? :D
