  1. Another issues is it seems to me that if they have a good script and director (Like Joss Whedon with World of Warcraft, which is stuck in limbo) it ends up in Development Hell. If it's some buttclown like Uwe Boll, it gets greenlit, filmed, and released. So if there was an Elder Scrolls movie, it would either languish forever, or be done and be a piece of steaming poo :(
  2. Look at the examples I give in my edit. Doesn't necessarily have to be fighting, just something that looks good, like:

Very cool, and I see what you mean :) Especially that last one, he's the only one there, yet stuff is going down.

  3. My computer is kind of low-end so most graphics replacers/decent settings are out. I still enjoy taking screenshots, but I've never been a terribly--popular? Highly regarded? screenshot maker. So I'm curious: what makes for awesome screenshots that grab attention and are win and all that? It obviously isn't just Boobs and Butts aka skimpy attire, and it isn't just "Toss in an anime chick" and sometimes not even a cool setting or event because I've seen screenshots with one or more of those with not one endorsement that I think are awesome... so I'm really curious as to what makes you press the Endorse button?

I can't do anything about my current PC, but I was curious what everyone thinks/what advice they might have.

  4. Blasphemy... I know

    Yup.

Daggerfall was awesome. A landmass larger than Great Britain, 10000 or so different locations to visit, a main quest that took months to complete, multiple endings, boobs in vanilla, vampirism and lycanthropy (including wereboars!) realized more fully than in any other TES game, banks, horses, carts, climbing, etc. etc. etc.

Of course, that was back when gaming companies were actually owned by gamers. Oh well. It was a fun ride while it lasted.

Daggerfall was a big favorite with me, too. I loved how the game was obviously designed for adults, not kids. My only gripes were the bugs and the godawful never-ending dungeons.

I've played Oblivion into the ground, and the lack of mods tailored for how I like my characters is partly why I no longer play. Right now, I'm getting another copy of the GoTY so I can do Morroblivion. I'm having loads of fun with Skyrim, though.

  5. This is very cool. In a historical novel I'm reading, the main character attends a feast day of Dionysus out of curiosity, and she sees several people she knew from their other lives, such as a well-known noble, merchant, etc. This could be an interesting addition for the Namira stuff, or even other princes. "Hey, don't I know you from Blah Blah town? I didn't know you worshipped Namira, too!"
  6. It'll definitely work - Atvir doesn't really conflict with anything, to the best of my knowledge. The questions about custom races have more to do with his dialogue, much of which is/will be dependent on the player's race. However, the race-dependent lines always have a baseline response. In other words, there are often special lines for Dunmer, Argonians, etc., but there's also a standardized response for any race without a dialogue of its own.

Great, thanks! I have him with my Ranger at the moment and he's great. She's a fiery sort so I always imagine the two of then sniping at each other, even after romance begins :D

  7. Funny you should mention volcanoes, look what I'm working on :)

(note this is without ENB, the ridiculous colour saturation etc is only done through lighting and camera attachments) - I may scale it back a little. Also I'm so far from a release date it isn't funny.

It could work, really. there's Iceland in real life, and well, who's to say that one day Mehrunes dagon doesn't wake up one day and say "You know what Skyrim needs? A volcano!" *makes it so*

  8. I won't join in on the grizzling so far. Just want to say that so far the only MMORPG that I play so far is WoW. Most I find too annoying (I don't care to play a seasoned, powerful female warrior who squeaks like a five year old when hit in battle--I'm looking at YOU, Forsaken World) full of Engrish and bad spelling, boring, or other things that bug me like cash shops. I'll probably check out TESO when it comes out, but might end up going back to WoW unless it really grabs me.
  9. I know I can't convince Inuits to buy space heaters, so I sure don't debate to convince others. Mostly I throw a topic up to express my opinion and invite others to offer theirs whether or not I agree with it.
  10. Some of it I like, some of it I don't. I do believe in gender equality: if there's mods that make my female toon's boobs and bits fall out, then I want something skimpy for my guys, too :D

Otherwise, depends on my mood, roleplaying, is the gear attractive and not just skimpy, etc.

And come on, people, some players of both genders just enjoy the aesthetic, and aren't using Oblivion/Skyrim and mods for their Personal Free Porn Creation Kit.

  11. This dlc is probably as way to compensate for the console players not being able to have their own mods

But that's exactly my problem with it. It's more evidence that the top brass at Bethesda are moving the company away from its traditional, mature, PC-using, game-modding audience and are emphasizing the younger, broader demographic of teens with X-Boxes and disposable income. From a purely financial perspective, sure, it makes sense to appeal to a wider market. However, Bethesda is trying to broaden its appeal so much, and so quickly, that many of the gamers who have supported the company for over a decade feel brushed aside and neglected.

People have been accusing Beth of who-- err, pandering the Elder scrolls to the console market since Morrowind. I think it's only just not being accepted as true instead of blown off as hysteria.

  12. I have left discussions both those I started and those started by others when I have started to feel too stressed out. I figure people might think I'm a coward or something for doing so, but I'd rather that than a mod call me banned :D
