I've momentarily put aside Skyrim in favor of leveling in World of Warcraft before my two month time card expires, but I'm not yet bored with it. I will admit to having a bad case of game ADD, always looking for something new to do.

damn. I would send you a save file for Marda, but she's not done all the quests, and she isn't hgih enough level. If you're still looking a few weeks' time, let me know. I do play her as a ranger type, with archery, alchemy, dual wield, light armor....

Well, I shot an old blind guy who was the bandit leader's uncle. I figured blind or not he might alert the others. Then I felt cruddy for shooting an old, blind guy. Then again, my current toon is Lawful Good. Next one I play will be a Lawful Evil Artemis Entreri type.

I use it differently than most. I think many people use 'cool' to mean someone popular, whom they'd like to emulate, and who is usually on top of the trends, whatever they are.
My idea of cool is someone who is just awesome because they're a good person, they treat others decently, they're funny or just.overall, I think they're a great person.

That was very cool. I especially liked how the armor got gradually more badass. Nice way to show your character's progression.

My horse keeps running off when I go to dungeons. There's literally no trace of Allie when I come out. I'm not in there for days at a time. There's no corpse she's just gone, and i have to pay 1k gold at the stable to get her butt back. Any idea what's causing this?

I'm going to bow out of this now. I'm normally pretty even-tempered, but I'm under stress lately and don't want to pop off on someone and get myself banned. I just can't see how wanting to remove critical thinking is a good thing, and I don't care if it's Texas or Timbuktu, it's a stupid idea. Have fun. everyone.

Aurelius, if you can honestly tell me that what Texas is doing is a good idea, and why, then I will happily reconsider my stance.

Which will always exist when politicians and interest groups have an equal, or greater say over educational curriculum as people who teach said curriculum or those who doctorates in education and childhood development.
The tinfoil lining here is that most of those methods of right-think, and doublethink don't always work so well in practice. Politicians may not be too keen on critical thinking skills, but most functioning adults need some level of critical thinking skills in order to do any job successfully. Meaning that if this stands in law long enough, Texas may need to be importing 99% of their work force, or at least just 99% of mechanics, janitors, doctors, nurses, architects, builders, machinists, programmers, engineers (oh wait, they already outsource those), shop owners, accountants, lawyers, police, and pretty much anyone who plays any part with the running of society.
Yeah, well I just don't get it. I wish they would just secede and be done with it and stop infecting the rest of the country with stupid. Oh, and they can take Arizona with them. Gods know, Liberals get their share of stupid on too, but I don't understand what it is about the other side that makes them so anti-thought, other than what I said in the original post. I don't recall there being one thing in the Bible along the lines of "Yea verily, if you are smart and think for yourself, then you will go to hell."

So recently, Texas decided that critical thinking is bad for the following reasons:

But wait! That totally isn't what they meant!

The issue isn't parental authority. It's any authority. Parental authority is just where they start, and plus it makes it more palatable than saying "We want people to be stupid because it's easier to promote our agendas if no one thinks about it." But it's hard to get elected on the "Sheeple, Not People!" platform.

The Secret (Insert ridiculous creature here) Dungeon. Similar to the Cow Level from Diablo 2. The boss could be a supersized version Bunnies, chickens, mudcrabs would all suit this well.

I'm not entirely sure yet..
I was hoping for a DLC that expanded upon the Empires upcoming war with the thalmor, not a dlc about something I have no interest in the vanilla game as it is. Vampires are not my forte, suppose thats why I will be killing them when I do get the DLC eventually.
This. I've never been a vampire person, so it holds little interest other than the mods that could be cool that will require it. Mind if it turns out really awesome, I'll play it I imagine they're saving the 'best for last' in regards to what we're hoping for DLC wise

Just how bad is your system.......
I have an Intel 1724 MB GMA (It's built in to the motherboard so I get maybe 750 MB max, and it's on a laptop) and I can still run Skyrim on High Textures and low everything else with 40+ framerate, all I needed was the 4GB RAM patch.
Well, according to Can You Run It? everything is good but the processor, which is only 2 gb single core the rest could make up for it, I think. Defiantly better than the one I played Oblivion on: had a good processor, but the rest sucked. I might have to lower the graphics settings unless I want to do screenshots, possibly, but we'll see how it goes.

Since i have a low-end system, I'm seriously considering using files to make it easier for chuggier computers to run the game and not look too horrible. they're here:

I'll consider it! I just looked at it though... nice set, but insanely complex lol.
This set is called High Warlord's Plate. it's the reward from being the best of the best PVP'er when PVP first came out in WoW. That or just having a ton of free time :P
LOL! I blow rocks at PvP. I'm happier doing PvE.
It is a complicated set, always wanted it for my pallies but could never get the damn things to drop. You might also consider the Battleforged stuff. It's a little fanservice-y but I always liked it. I can't wait to see what else you decide to do, and if you finish this one it's going on my list of mods to download when I get Skyrim.

I can see how *some* males (I refuse to call them men) might get a hair up their butts over this, but really. All it speaks of is their weakness, immaturity, and inability to tolerate strong, capable, confident females that also aren't made more sexually appealing to make them less threatening. No one says anyone has to like anything, but it's like we say here on Nexus: don't like it, think what you want about the project and its author, but pass in silence.
I hope this will spark some intelligent discussion more than fighting and trolling. There's enough of that over it already.

I'm pretty lucky overall with regards to trolls, but the two I had were especially nasty. One trolled me about my writing (not my writing per se, but personal attacks at me triggered by my writing) so badly that it made me block for four years. The worse situation was enduring three years of trolling attacks from a friend who'd turned against me because he couldn't handle that I was going through a very rough time in life. I can understand not being able to handle that, especially if the person was going on about it a lot (I was) but the answer is to end the friendship and move on, not viciously attack them anonymously via their LiveJournal. I was having to block him 2-3 times a week there, and they finally got off their butts and IP banned him, and that solved it. I knew it was him because he also started trolling a friend of mine who was his friend until he went into a-hole mode, and because little hints here and there of things I'd said when he was still a friend.
Would I want to see such a law in place? I don't know. I handled their bs as well as I could, but then I think of that poor teenage girl who was driven to suicide...by a hellhag of an adult woman trolling her, no less. I don't think there is any good answer, unfortunately :(
