i figured the best fix is just to delete the game and move on, it's getting very frustrating and nothing seems to fix it, everything is a dead end, i cant clean reinstall the game because i had quite a few big complicated mods that i wont be bothered to reinstall again

i thank you for your reply, i have 2 sata3 SSDs one 500gb where both system and fallout 4 are installed and the other is 1tb only for storage, none of the ssds are full, there is 170gb and 560gb free in each drive respectively i just find it weird that the normal loading screen with the tooltip and the image load WAY faster than the black loading screen with vault tec logo on bottom right corner that i seem to get randomly it's inconsistent and unpredictable, about once every 10 loads i'd get the black loading screen and it's especially bad when it's interior>exterior, all other games seem to load just fine and like i said according to google i'm not alone in this, i dont know what caused it or how to fix it but apparently i've been cursed with this black loading screen heres a list of mod that i currently have: https://imgur.com/gymAKNx

This is a bad idea. You should never really need to defrag your drives, windows handles that in the background these days, and if it's a solid state drive, attempting to defrag the drive will dramatically shorten its life. The black loading screens *should* be faster than the ones that load the pic, and captions, simply because, it ISN'T loading those. I think there is a mod out there that makes ALL the loading screens black, and supposedly, faster. Why they are slower for the OP is a mystery to me. thank you for the warning about defragging the drive i found similar threads about black loading screens loading way longer than the regular loading screen with text and 3d item, simply google "black loading screen fallout 4" and there will be dozens of topics, unfortunately i wouldnt ask here if any of them helped, the load accelerator does help a little bit with loading but still takes 5+ minutes long especially if it's interior>exterior, im definitely not alone in this, whenever i get that loading screen i just force shut down the game with alt+f4 because it will be faster to just restart it all up again than waiting for the exterior to load

There are 2 types of loading screens, one with the tips and a 3d rotating item which doesn't take longer than 1 minute, but there is a black loading screen that takes ridiculously long, like 5-10 minutes, the game is on SSD which is supposed to make loading faster. I have few mods and none of them are high res texture mods and this happens since the start of the game so it has nothing to do with the save file size, I don't have the HD DLC active. Is there a way to avoid black loading screens? Here are my specs if it helps RTX 3080 i7 10700K 32gb ram playing the game on 1080p ultra preset

Fixed. I found an option in Vortex to install mods directly into Data folder, now I can safely install mods with god rays and distant fog still working

update 2: any mod manager does this, it's because they put the mod files elsewhere rather than in Data folder in Steam\common\TESV the only fix i found was to manually install mods and put them in data folder which is really slow and risky, anyone knows if i can make my mod manager put mods in Data folder?

Ok well i figured out half of the problem, apparently it was caused by Mod Organizer 2 and couldn't find a way to fix it, i'll try Vortex and see it's better

i tried installing ELFX, Vivid Weathers, and just vanilla, none of them show godrays, idk if i messed up something but basically my game looks depressing and gloomy and basically can see distant object with clear sight, i deleted Skyrim and Skyrimprefs, changed settings but nothing works (i dont use ENB btw) please help i want to play skyrim again after years and i cant be greeted like this thanks!

I figured out you can use AnimFlavor by "caf" and AnimArchetype by "caa" But I spent hours looking for a way to use AnimFurn such as "AnimFurnWallLean" or "AnimFurnHandrailA" how in the world can you use those? Thanks!

Is there a mod out there that changes the texture of the shirt and pants to a different color? I'd like something White Shirt and Combat Boots or Red Shirt and Combat Boots etc.. I tried doing it myself but I'm new to Outfit Studios and BodySlide, so I think I either missed it or it doesnt exist at all.
