Having an issue with my New vegas game. I recently completed dead money expansion, and am now back in the mojave wasteland....but I am still plagued by the annoying "Cannot wait while taking health damage" when I try to wait. I'm *not* taking health damage as far as I know, since I'm obviously not in the red cloud, or in the sierra madre world.
Is there a bugfix for this out yet?

I got it fixed. I had to add the modded weapon files as statics, and then add the static reference to the box.

I've run into a snag with adding custom modkits to my anti material rifle. I got to the point where I can add the modkits to my inventory for testing, and apply them to the anti material rifle.
However, i cant get the mesh to change accordingly. I gave it the proper mesh I'll need for the mod 1, 2, 3 and all combination's...but I don't know how to add to the first person drop down box.
Help is appreciated, thank you.

Yea, I guess it seems that the fighters guild(s) are supposed to include archery as well. Oh well, I can settle for vanilla fighters guild. If someone knows something though, please let me know.

Is there a mod that adds a nicely fleshed out archery guild? With quests, rank advancements and the works? I've been searching myself and maybe I've typed the wrong keywords in or something, and have not found much myself.

Medic class, I always liked machine guns, and in many games I play the healer...perfect combination.
Rush, because I love attack/defend style gameplay.

Did you install obse to your oblivion folder and not the oblivion/data folder?
Are you running the game with the obse launcher?
Is your oblivion patched to the latest version?
How about your mods? How many mods are you loading and in what order?

You misunderstand me. I tore everything out meaning I uninstalled oblivion, whiped out the bethesda folder, and then reinstalled.
The CTD on load anything has been fixed if you read the absolute first line of the opening post. This topic was just for me to ask the community why it was CTDing before I whiped my folder.

I don't have the load list anymore, I tore everything out of my oblivion folder.
I did however disable everything and try a new game with only oblivion.esm loaded, and it still CTD.

There are a bunch of good mods like this. But my favorite is Armamentarium.
It adds hundreds of weapons and armors to the levelled lists, so enemies at different levels will be equipped with the custom content as you level up.

I play a custom mashup race I did myself. My character is a virtuous one, being a holy Paladin. Her name is Evelynne Oprien.

A week ago, I was playing around with my oblivion, doing some modding work myself, and playing the game. I had a save file with 40+ hours into it, lvl 15 and climbing. My game was somewhat stable, it did have its crashes here and there but nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing went wrong until I tried to put together an esp.
I was working on a little mod for myself, having put together the models and textures together and got them into my oblivion directory where they should go. Then I decided to put them in the game like you usually would by making a simple mod. This is when trouble struck. I loaded the esp up and started my game excited to see my work. I started the game, all went well. Decided to load my latest save.
Half way through loading it Crashes to desktop. "Not good." I say to myself. I try again, a few times.
Same result.
At first I think its my esp, maybe something went wrong, whatever. I unchecked the esp I made, and booted my game up. Loaded last save.
Same result.
"wow okay, maybe my save game is corrupt or something". I load a backup save, I save often and with multiple saves.
Back up saves 1,2,3,4, and 5 all CTD on load.
"...I'm going to lose my save game Aren't I?" I ask myself. I decide to rip the resources for my mod out of my game completely, thinking that maybe something was wrong with the nif or texture files and oblivion wasn't liking them, and retry all my saves.
Same result.
So I decide to just start a new game, whatever, its just time lost.
Same result. Something I did between saving my game like I normally do and the 3d/mod work I did totally screwed up my game. Nothing I could do could fix the issue.
I have since completely reinstalled my game from scratch, I'm just wondering if anyone here could shed light on what happened so It can possibly be avoided in the future?

the whole reason I used an alternate beginning mod was because Corrine is a customer race (the "breton freckled" race from Heart of the Dead) and Valen Dreth wouldn't speak to her when starting in prison, arriving by ship worked though.
The Unofficial Oblivion Patch fixes that problem...
Either way though, vanilla beginning is just plain bad in my opinion. It takes too long to get out into the world, especially if you already know everything the tutorial will say. And from a role play point of view, My character Evelynne is a Paladin, and would never find herself in a jail cell...so it just does not fit for me, or some of the other players characters.

Update:
After some tweaking and a lot of practice, I managed to actually get a critical kill (left 1h power attack = skullbash, was pretty awesome). It just seems that gaining momentum is actually pretty hard, I only managed to get my momentum high enough for a critical kill on the highest difficulty, and I resurrected my foe 4 times while combat was still going. I guess I'm just bad.
In short, It turns out DR6 was working just fine...I just need to actually be a good fighter. :laugh:

I actually have found something in that thread last night shortly after I posted this thread, that talks about the momentum system and its calculation. Just to test it out I jacked all the calculation values up so id get max momentum with just a few swings.
I found your post last night with this in it:
set scc.momemtumincreasemult to 8 ;how quickly less predictable moves add to your momemtum (Default 5)
set scc.horseCombatMomemtumIncreaseMult to 15 ;how quickly dealing damage in horse combat adds to your momemtum (Default 5)
set scc.momemtumDecreaseHealthMult to 1 ;how quickly sustaining damage decreases your momemtum, 1 means taking 20% damage cuts 20% away from your momemtum
set scc.momemtumdecreasetimemult to 1 ;how quickly your momemtum lowers over time, 1 means 1% every second ->
;NOTE! not one "point", but percent of CURRENT value, for example 1% from momemtum of 50 (momemtum is between 0 and 100)
That's what I've been toying with. Still haven't gotten a critical yet, but I also didn't get to test it extensively as I went to bed shortly after. (it was about 4 am).
I'll continue to play around with the numbers, All I want to see is 1 decapitation to at least know its working.

Alternative Start - Arrive by ship is the mod I use for my characters.

It allows you to choose everything for your starting character (appearance, classes, specializations..etc)
the most important thing about this mod to you would be the option for Background. you can check a few options here dependant on what you want your character to be, then you use the bed in this small room.
It will put you in your destination of choosing after that, and you will find a small sack of your starting equipment and some gold. the items and gold are dependant on the background you choose.
If you where to restart your adventure with Corrine, I would use this instead.

Ive been using Deadly reflex combat moves without any issue since version 3. In this new Deadly reflex, I seem to be having a slight problem with the combat. Maybe not so much of a problem but more of a question. The reason why I come to this board and post this is because I have scoured the readme, the included .ini file, and even Google for the solution to my problem, none of those have helped.
Why wont slow-motion and Decapitation occur? I have my blade skill above 50 (its at 65 now i think.) I am using a silver longsword. I don't have any other combat mods installed that would interfere with this, and I am loading combatmoves.esp at the bottom of my list. Is anyone else having this issue?
I know for a fact that the mod is working, I have witnessed magic critical effects happen to many enemies during my game (You know, when you burn them to a crisp or freeze them solid.) I have also impaled enemies that have fallen onto the ground, and killed them that way. I have also installed all the prerequisite files skycaptain listed for Deadly Reflex 6 to work.
Could it be that I am using a custom animation back for my attacks? I am using KSTN Stylized 1h animations, but I made sure to install Deadly Reflexes animation files after this, so they would overwrite what they would need.

Im trying to transfer a hair style from fallout NewVegas (from Lings coiffures pack) to my character in Oblivion. Naturally I am having trouble doing this, I get an error in Nifskope saying the versions differ, and in tesconstructionset saying the mesh cannot be loaded.
This is for a personal project and I have no intention of distributing the work as I do not have permission to do so, All I'm asking is for the solution to my issue.
